Such an awesome gem in Charlottesville! Wonderful food and a great vintage-style dining atmosphere. Service was excellent and I look forward to eating here again soon! Extremely reasonable prices that rival any fast food breakfast in the area. Take put is quick and they include everything you need like jelly and utensils without even asking! The home fries are EXCELLENT.

This is a hidden win Charlottesville! I stopped here while visiting for a weekend and I can’t say anything negative about this place! The food is amazing, staff are great and the atmosphere is very nice! I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area!

Best in town! The food is always served quickly, always fresh and hot! Wait staff is very attentive and friendly along with the management. You feel like family when you’re there. Breakfast is served all day which is a plus for my picky little ones. Overall, great restaurant!! Highly recommend.

Great local restaurant. Serves breakfast in the AM and lunch/dinner in the PM. Kristi was our server and she was such a delight! We got a cheese pizza which was pretty good. My SO got a cheeseburger and said it was good. Will definitely be going back.

We really enjoyed our visit here! There were many people waiting for tables when we arrived, and we wondered if it was worth the wait, but it seemed like they were moving quickly, so we waited. It didn’t take long, though the place was fully humming with the lunch rush. Our server was quick, helpful and smiling, and the food was top notch. So many great choices! I had a delicious grilled pastrami and Swiss on rye, with the amazing onion rings. My hubby had the three pancake/ 2 eggs breakfast plate. We only wish they had another hot sauce besides Texas Pete… like maybe Cholula! SO worth the wait! We would stop again when heading across I-64!

Shelley has been the best server Iv ever had anywhere. She's fast does not delay on the time she's supposed to be anywhere. I would highly recommend her for a server. I would give her 10 stars if I could!!!

Omg what can I say about this place that hasn't already been said. Great food! Amazing staff! Great bang for your buck! Every time I visit here, no matter who I am with, they leave very satisfied and happy.

Although it seemed very busy and looked like there might be a wait time, we were sat within a few minutes. Drinks were refilled without having to ask. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, reasonably priced and the portions were generous! I will definitely be eating here again on my next visit!

This place is great if it is what you were looking for in a restaurant. It is a non-chain Denny’s. Adjust your expectations to such and you will love it. Food was good with lots of choices for the family. Enjoy it.

Excellent service and the food was outstanding! We ordered a chicken souvlaki pita, BLT, tuna sandwich, roast beef sandwich, and spinach salad. Everyone agreed it was delicious and we would definitely order again! The onion rings were fantastic and crispy! Sorry, ate too much of the pita before remembering to take a picture

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant a couple weeks ago craving the classic diner experience. Boy did we get it. The servers were all wonderful, and the food was affordable and delicious (definitely recommend the shakes). We still talk about that meal as a highlight and we’re planning to drop by again on another trip down.

A true diner with the freshest of foods! Never had anything here I didn’t enjoy. There might be line but it moves fast. Worth the wait!

Good breakfast food for a good price. They are always busy, but we rarely have to wait for more than 10 minutes to get a spot for a family of 4, even on the weekends.

The best part is they serve breakfast all day, but get there early if you want their biscuits and gravy, which are excellent. Their pancakes, though, are the pinnacle and must be purchased if you go.

If you want a simple, dinner experience for a price that doesn’t break the bank then Tip Top is a great choice. The coffee stays full, and the staff are friendly.

I will say that the potatoes were a miss but the pancakes are on point. I got the. Biscuits and gravy and it was good, exactly what I was expecting. But nothing earth shattering. I would be back again though. Lots of items to try.

Ate breakfast here. Busy place, pleasant staff, delicious food. You could see it’s a place the locals like to go to. We would definitely return should we be back in this area.

My family and I were driving through Charlottesville and came across this amazing restaurant Tip Top. The food was so good, the service was fast, the staff was friendly and tentative, and the restaurant was clean. When I say the food was good, the food was absolutely outstanding. The menu had so many choices for breakfast lunch and dinner, everything we ordered tasted fresh, and we could not be anymore happy. It was also affordable which is hard to find nowadays when dining out. Now, every time we ride through Charlottesville Virginia, We will always stop at our favorite restaurant Tip Top. Thanks to all the staff who made our experience pleasant and memorable!

First time here. This restaurant appeared clean and reminds me more of an old time diner. The food was served up quick and hot. Taste of the food was good. Although our waitress forgot to serve me the soda that I ordered, she was friendly and humourous. She did eventually realize that she forgot the drink and offered it to me as a to-go item. I declined at that point and she deducted it from the bill. Overall I was pleased.

Best stuffed shells since the old Italian Villa. Highly recommend the Philly cheese steak as well. Wait wasn't long and great service.
