Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlottesville - Ruckersville, an IHG Hotel

We stayed here as we were getting married close by. We were extremely pleased with cleanliness of our room but also the over all hotel. There was not one bad thing at breakfast.

I wanted to share our experience with Dana. She went above and beyond for us!! We had an issue with where we were supposed to stay and she took all the weight off our shoulders! Every hotel should have a Dana. Just wanted to say thank you and your team so much for the wonderful stay.

Stayed here for business. The hotel is in top shape. The rooms were comfortable and nice. Staff was very helpful. The included breakfast buffet was outstanding. Will definitely stay here again.

My daughter recently got married and we had numerous guest that weekend stay ay this hotel. Leon was amazing! He always (even last minute) helped me out and made sure we had everything we needed and was great to work with!!!

My wife and I have stayed there five times while visiting relatives. It’s always been clean and have never had any significant issues. The area seems to be reasonably safe, although isolated. Employees are friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. It has a great buffet breakfast and if you leave hungery, it's your own fault.

Sometimes it was fully occupied and other times it was only a third full, so visitors may wish to make advanced reservations.

My only criticism is the approach to the main entrance from the parking lot. It has a raised island with an incline which must be negotiated which is a little awkward, especially when carrying luggage. There’s no issue if getting out of car under the portico. Of course, for a few extra steps a visitor may walk around it. Improvements are in the planning stage

Arrived late and left early! But this was no problem for the friendly and competent staff that helped and arranged in a professional manner. Room was clean and nice and I had a good rest at this Hotel.

I loved Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were so nice and clean. Worker's that I came in contact with were very nice and pleasant. The only thing I can say is that there were kids running up and down the hallway yelling, jumping and laughing loud past our bedrooms. Surprisingly when I opened my door there were about 5 other people looking out there doors as well. Nobody had time for that noise.Breakfast looked amazing. Bacon, sausage, eggs,Biscuits, hash browns,pastries and more. I recommend this hotel.

Booked it for the pool and location. Clean comfortable environment. Great staff.

I have been here several times for work. I always pay attention to who services the room. It's always Sam (Samantha) and she does such a great job. Had the luxury of meeting her today and she was awesome. These 5 stars are for her. Seriously.

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Customer service was OUTSTANDING! All of the staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. When we first got there to check in, I learned that I mistakenly booked the wrong room. The clerk then gladly took care of switching us into the room I thought I had booked. He was very pleasant and understanding about it. We stayed in the 1 bedroom King Suite and it was very clean, roomy and comfortable. All staff members always greeted us as we came and went throughout our 3 day stay. The staff here all seem to go out of their way to ensure their guests are comfortable and happy. The continental breakfast had many great breakfast options, and there was always a staff member available at the breakfast area to greet you in the morning and ask if you needed anything. We even got to enjoy some pool time (the pool and pool area were also very clean). This was the best hotel experience I have ever had, and we will definitely stay here again on our next annual trip to Ruckersville.

We stayed in a king-bed suite. Room was spacious and quiet. Bed was on the firmer side but still slept well. Excellent complimentary breakfast compared to other hotels during the pandemic (no brown lunch bags with cold sandwiches, actual warm food with cinnamon rolls). Easy access to the highway to reach Shenandoah National Park. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Very well-run property. Tanner at the front desk was great. Also, G.M. Dr. Smith was very helpful and professional. I was impressed. This is a very good property, about 20 minutes from Charlottesville and Monticello.

The new renovations look great! The rooms were spacious and the mattress is new and comfortable. The breakfast room is bright, open and offers lots of choices. The staff was friendly and accommodating to my needs. Tika Rayson took the time to give me a full tour of the hotel -wow! Tika went above and beyond to show me what the hotel could offer me personally but my business as well. I look forward to coming back! Thank you Tika for giving me wonderful service!

First time visitor gives it twenty ⭐ stars. I am always pleased when I stay at Holiday Inns. Never a problem. Excellent customer service. Breakfast was hearty. You can’t ask for anything better. Trust me.

This hotel was just right for my husband, daughter and me. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. The price was good.

This place was great! Nice bedding, dove shampoo and conditioner, lotion, body soap, and hand soap. So no need to pack toiletries if staying here.

We had a nice, clean room. The bathroom was spotless. It was quiet so we got a great night's sleep. We also had a choice if a hard pillow or a soft pillow which was great. And the breakfast was really good. One of the best complimentary breakfasts we have had at a holiday inn.

Good hotel, nice pillows an bed was so comfortable. Only stayed one night was heading home but medical problems made us find a place an holiday inn Express are all pretty great for a slighly higher price but your paying for quality! Lobby an staff an hallways were clean. Wife said check in was easy an lady was very nice. Only complaint was the breakfast, holiday inn Express is well known for an ENORMOUS breakfast spread but now you get a brown bag with a piece of fruit, a bagel, a milk, an a yogurt. I appreciated the grub, but missed the hot breakfast lol one suggestion to holiday inn express peeps, other hotels have their hot breakfast done like a school lunch line, you get a clean tray an they serve you. Either way somebody is touching everything, with gloves. Thanks for a good stay at your hotel holiday inn express. It was very restful

I planned an event at this hotel in one of the event rooms, i own and operate TC event designs. The staff Amy, Jamie and Derek went out of their way to help me and acclimate my needs. I really appreciate their willingness to help and their great attitudes.
