Hyatt Place Charlottesville

It's rated 3 stars but should be higher. While I didn't stay there I met a friend there who was. The room was very nice with lots of space. What is really nice is the amount of restaurants and stores within a few minutes walk. No need to drive around looking for a place to eat.

Couldn't be happier with this property! From the moment we pulled up, I knew it was going to be the best stay! The property is immaculate, inviting, and the staff are so kind and professional. The rooms are beautiful, clean and upgraded. It is perfectly situated whereby you can walk across the street to a beautiful outdoor shopping plaza with many restaurants and boutiques and outdoor benches if you want to grab a cup of coffee and relax and people watch! Also a plus, it is very close to UVA! This hotel is a real GEM nestled in the heart of Charlottesville and I can't wait to go back! It's a keeper and I know anyone that stays here will not be disappointed!

We always love our stay here when we are in town. The Hyatt Place is impeccably clean, quiet, comfortable rooms with separate seating areas (makes them feel very homey), and the staff are all wonderful! We will continue to stay here on our visits!

I really enjoyed my stay at this location. Check in and check out was very quick. The front check thanked me for being a Globalist and provided everything that's provided with the status. My room was clean, beds were really comfortable, and my goodness the shower was the best hotel shower I've ever used!! The breakfast bar had so many options. Everything was fresh and tasty! The staff at the breakfast bar were consistently cleaning breakfast area and restocking food on the bar. The front desk staff were always so welcoming and nice too. One of the ladies were so sweet, I asked for hot chocolate one morning thinking it would be with the coffee and tea but it wasn't. She made me some, she was so nice! There's a bar and restaurant that was open. Plenty of restaurants near by. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Our room was beautiful and clean. The breakfast was very good. Customer service was excellent. Will come back.

I've stayed here on multiple occasions this year. It's a solid hotel. Very clean. Prompt friendly service. Predictable rooms. Well-located for dining and entertainment options.

Fantastic hotel! The staff is exceptional, the rooms are large, and have all the amenities I need. It's clean, and well maintained. I've never had a bad experience at this location.

Their breakfast was great. The rooms and hotel are clean with nice decor. The rooms themselves are not unique but at least comfortable. The pool was warm in the winter. Good value overall and would stay here again.

Slightly higher price as compared to the other hotels in the area but this location is ideal for people who are visiting the town. Lots of options for food around.
Room is very spacious, ample parking space close to the hotel entrance. Well kept common areas, friendly and welcoming staff.

Great location if you plan on attending a UVA graduation. Welcoming and accommodating staff, we were even provided a clear goodie bag which proved helpful for the ceremony on the lawn. The rooms are to standards, but the highlights are the staff and management. Their team is wonderfully thorough in sorting out any issues and going above and beyond in finding a solution(s). Fully recommend!

We stayed three nights and recommend this hotel. April at the front desk is extremely helpful and kind! Real glasses and coffee mugs in the rooms, a hot shower with great pressure, and the breakfast were pluses. The bathroom door has a wonky latch and we could hear other guests slamming doors a bit more than other hotels it seemed, but these problems didn’t really bother us. Definitely will stay here again—nice location is part of that.

5 stars for the exceptional front desk & housekeeping staff! I lost my wallet in the hotel room and didn’t realize it until I was checking in for my flight. The housekeeping staff immediately searched for it. When my husband pulled up to retrieve it, the front desk employee was standing outside to save us time. Thank you SO much!!

Our stay was awesome. The rooms were in great condition and very clean! Everyday they came in a straighten the room, cleaned and made the beds which is so nice and has seemed to disappear since COVID. Also the continental breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel. Fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, bagels, fresh eggs and bacon. The location is excellent too. There is a nice shopping area and restaurants across the street that you can walk to. It’s easy to get downtown and to UVA. I would definitely stay here again. Could not have been more pleased.

Clean hotel with ample parking and great location. Restaurants, coffee, shops within two-minute walk in a quiet neighborhood. Convenient to UVA for visiting (~15 min drive).

Room location wasn't my favorite-hallway noise. Room & bath were clean. Breakfast was hot. Walking distance to Trader Joe's and local venues. Can't pick the other guests 🤷....overall, it was a good experience.

Rooms were clean and modern. The temperature was controlled by a wall thermostat instead of a window/wall unit, which was nice and quiet. The shower was spacious and clean, though the bathroom tile was a little slippery. Breakfast was above average, with a lot of selection. Walking distance to a lot of decent restaurants.
