Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Radford-Blacksburg Area

The lady at the front desk that works mornings is absolutely incredibly helpful and very nice. Also Tammy the housekeeper who mainly works at the Econo Lodge exceeded my expectations in the cleanliness and friendliness! I would definitely recommend these hotels

Maybe not the most beautiful place, but the staff more than make up for the age on the lodge. You could not ask for better service. Great for those traveling with small pets. Great yard to run. Save a penny, meet wonderful folks.

This review is specifically for Ruth, the new Front Desk Clerk. Priceline overbooked and there was no room available. When I arrived, another guest was unable to access his room because the key card did not work. While Ruth was at the other hotel, another couple came to inform her that their heat did not work and the unit was loose from the wall.

Ruth called the Super 8 across the street and arranged for a room for me and the guest locked out. She then had to physically take the cash to make the reservation to the location.

What ensued there (some rando call center that the front desk clerk at Super 8 had NO idea about) was hilarious and irritating at the same time...please note, it had nothing to do with Ruth or the other desk clerk.

Throughout the entire fiasco, Ruth remained calm, professional, polite and provided top notch customer service under an extremely stressful night (it was around 10:30 p.m. when I first arrived).

Let me add, that in 2016ish, I was the Director of Sales at the Best Western (sister hotel) and have had many experiences like this and if you are lucky enough to get a RUTH ...you will be well taken care of.

Econo Lodge should best count its lucky stars for such a wonderful employee.

Hi am Broken hard I know this place well friend just to work here may staying here this time wasn't good not because of the hotel but for the reason I had to stay here anyway over roll is a good place.

Place is apparently brand new with a friendly staff. Actually it's been purchased by the Best Western next door and has and is being remodeled.

This hotel is clean, fairly priced, and close to Radford. The staff is great!
