Oceaneer Motel

Why yes it is an older hotel. But rooms were clean & pool was clean and nice. Perfect location. Can’t beat it for the price! Parking situation can be a little hectic. But we always found a spot to park. Checked in early on a Friday our room wasn’t quite ready. But they let us use the pool before hand & brought us our keys to the room when it was ready. I would stay again.

Great Staff, clean rooms. Great ocean view. Quiet establishment without the usually loud partying crowd. Clean pool. Prime location to a load of restaurants and stuff to do that is within walking distance. Reservations through Expedia were super easy and cheap considering this is still prime season. Yes, the building is showing its age, and some character, however, previous owners did not properly provide upkeep. They were greedy and didn't utilize the return on their investment properly. Will I stay again, you may ask? Well... does the wildlife poop in the woods, the answer to both is HECK YEAH! I love this place.

Small independently owned motel that isn't part of a huge chain. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The views were amazing! The pool was a good size and had easy access. Nice sitting areas around the property with chairs, tables and large swings. There was a nice walkway to the beach and showers available to rinse off the sand. There isn't an elevator to get to the upstairs rooms but the walk up isn't bad. The steps are wide and plenty of hand rails. They offer standard rooms and suites with full kitchens also. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a good price point for the location and time of year we visited (peak season)

Just a fantastic place to stay. My little brother got married on the beach this weekend. We had a very large family group, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. There were a couple of hiccups, but they resolved them very quickly, we couldn't have ask for better service or hospitality. It was an amazing stay. Highest commendations to the staff.❤💯

Right on the beach! Places to eat & shop are only a ride down the road, 15 or 20min at most. The rooms aren't glamorous but they're clean & the A/C works. The pool is clean & a nice getaway from the beach. Staff was super friendly. Prices were very reasonable, well worth the money spent. Definitely would go back!

My family and I loved staying here. We needed a place close to the beach and to sleep. Our third floor room had a great view of the ocean when we walked out. The pier was right there to take us to the beach. The rooms were great for sleeping and taking a break from the beach. We read through other reviews about the rooms being dated and while they were, we didn't experience any roaches or uncleanliness or smells. Water worked, room was clean, beds were clean, AC was amazing and the staff were very friendly. It was a great find and the price was amazing especially for staying on the beach. We will definitely be returning!

Last minute weekend get away 7/23-7/25 and happened to get lucky on a cancellation. Oceaneer sits right on the beach with a perfect view of the ocean. We were on the bottom floor right across from the pool that was opened and very clean with plenty of beach chairs and shaded areas to get out of the sun. The room was clean and had everything you needed the ice machine was on the lower level and always had ice. With a booked motel you would expect it to be loud and noisy at night that wasn’t the case it was Super quite. Easy access to and from the beach with a shower to rinse off the sand there’s also public bathrooms with showers across the street. Now the Oceaneer’s staff are very friendly and professional. We will definitely be coming back soon. 👍 Need to give a little bit advice especially for dinner plans with the family. Since everything is just about walking distance call ahead the parking is ridiculous and most places had a two in a half wait. Ordered pizza 55 minutes for delivery.
Update: (08/27/21 - 08/29/21, Wife and I stayed there over the weekend and had a wonderful time. Brenda and her team were very professional and very helpful. The pool was clean and the property was well maintained. We stayed in the room upfront 1st floor along the road I was really surprised with how quiet it was being that close. We will definitely be coming back soon!

I have been there once a year for the last 5 years. And every time I see something new, I'm never disappointed. A hotel is just wonderful.

I just added a photo showing the view from our room. We have stayed here twice. We were loyal to another motel until I was shocked using the stove, so we tried out Oceaneer in 2013? We got their last room which was on the street side. We recently stayed for the weekend after labor day. The view down the beach from our second floor room, 212, was awesome. When we arrived, the owners offered us some of their home grilled ribs. We felt very welcome. Jennifer, the housekeeper for our room, was a complete sweetheart who takes a great deal of pride in her work. No frills, but they know how to fold a fancy towel. Room was clean, beds are a little rough, but we were happy considering the price and location. Not the Hilton. Not for the entitled. For regular people who want a comfortable and traditional stay at the beach. We will make this our new regular go-to when we go to CB.

We were excited to find a place last minute on Carolina Beach that was also affordable. It is on the beach and has its own beach access. The room we were in was not fancy by any means, but it was extremely clean... Beds, shower, toilet, and towels. The workers were very polite, and we really enjoyed the pool as well. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Everyone that I met from the very first moment was most friendly and very accommodating! I traveled alone and was a little timid about not having any friendly conversation. The lady and gentleman who greeted me in the office made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. The room was just comfortable enough for being at the beach. I was assured and invited to remain parked on their lot to continue swimming at the pool and beach even after checkout time! The lady who took care of my room was very friendly also. I will be back!

We have stayed here 3 times already and love it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love it here the rooms are clean, a lil older but for what you pay here it is well worth it. We always have a clean room, a big pool and a great view of the ocean. And not to mention the beach is a just a walk down the sidewalk

Just steps away from the beach. Can hear the ocean from room.Could not ask for more! We will be back!!This will be our new beach home!!

We had a great time they just opened for the season 2 weeks ago. The pool was getting all new tiles sides bottom etc. So, it was closed. That's ok still a little cold anyway. No bugs, clean room, very close to the beach and good water pressure. Very nice staff overall great stay. But we aren't complainers either, if we do something is really wrong. Had no complaints...

My first stay here but not my last. This is the hotel experience I remember from my childhood at Myrtle Beach before all the chain stuff came in. Clean rooms with AC on the beach with most of the rooms having a great view looking down across the beach toward the Kure Beach pier. The rooms don't have private balconies but they have chairs set up along the balcony in front of the rooms overlooking the pool and beach. Within two hours of my arrival I'd met most of the people on my floor and enjoyed seeing them on the beach and around town over the weekend. If you are looking for lots of "bells and whistles" go to a resort, but if you want a nice place to sleep and bathe you can't beat it.

Amazing staff, clean rooms, awesome view , 10 mins from Nc aquarium! Stores are close by and so Is the boardwalk! Loved my stay so much on our checkout day we decided to book another day lol ! The sound of the waves at night just make sleep so much better 💕 also waking up to dolphins in the ocean 🐬🌊 sooo beautiful!

We love this place! Older but clean. Staff is great. Right on the water! There is a pool to use if you would like. No breakfast served but there are plenty of restaurants available. We stay here a lot. Can not wait to go back!

Extremely clean older motel right in the beach. Lady as desk very nice and helpful. My new place to be at the beach. Rooms smelled nice. Ac good. I saw none of the problems ive seen in reviews

Friendly staff, ocean front access, clean rooms, has little kitchenettes. You can text with the office for any needs or questions you have. Wifi is good
