Miller's Waterfront Restaurant

This place is amazing. They have a restaurant downstairs and a bar more chill area upstairs. They do have somewhat different menus.
We ate upstairs, everything that we had was super good and I will definitely recommend it.
The views from this place are breathtaking specially if you go at sunset.

The hush puppies are a must try, you won't regret it.
The hot am crispy fish is to die for and it pair the best with the super bowl.
Everything is tasty... And employees are friendly.

First time here! We are from TN and try to eat as much yummy seafood as possible while on vacation and this place did not disappoint. I started out with the she crab soup which was delicious, and we shared a basket of hush puppies which were top notch. My husband enjoyed the fried shrimp platter, and I had the fish and grits which was incredible! We topped it off with a slice of key lime pie and it was delicious. Even in the dining room we had a beautiful view of the sound.

What can I say the food was amazing! Atmosphere was excellent as well right there on the water as the name states of course. We had the spinach artichoke crab dip, very good. Oysters Rockefeller were surprisingly spicy but great also. The special was the blackened grouper with sauteed squash and potato cake. Freaking delicious! The fish was cooked to perfection. Non mushy veggies and the potato cake was unbelievable, never had anything like it. Can't wait to go back!

The restaurant was crowded but we were seated within 30 minutes. My husband loves seafood but me not so much so always a challenge to find a restaurant that serves good seafood and steaks. This place did not disappoint! For appetizers, my husband had the she crab soup and I had the signature salad. Husband said soup was one of best he's had and I could've eaten the salad as a meal it was so delicious (pic below)! We also ordered fried green tomatoes and hush puppies. So delicious 😋. I got the New York Strip cooked medium for my dinner and husband ordered the fried seafood trio. The steak was cooked to perfection and so flavorful. We are only visiting area for a week and dined here on next to last day of vacation. Wish we would've went earlier in week because I would've dined here again before leaving!

Came here on a beautiful night in Nags Head. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait. They said it would be 45min and it was every minute of the 45. Luckily there was live music and a bar nearby to satisfy out thirst. We sat in the main dining room but there is also an upstairs dining as well.

The place is quite noisy which gives it a very lively, fun dining experience. We got a great seat next to the window and was able to watch the sunset.

Food was delicious and service was great . Started with some hush puppies and had the fish special along with the fish and grits which I HIGHLY recommend.

We had a beautiful dinner here with all 14 of us being able to be seated rather quickly (we stopped by the previous night with an hour + wait we decided to go another day and the hostess stated she shouldn't have any issues sitting us all together if we came a little earlier, which we did the next night). Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks!! Service was top-notch, too!! Thank you

Was looking forward to another visit. Hush puppies were not as good as the last visit. The filet mignon I ordered was supposed to be medium. It came out rare. Food did have decent flavor.

I ordered the coconut shrimp lunch. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. There was a subtle taste of coconut in the crisp batter. It was a real tasty dish served with hush puppies, fries, and slaw. My wife order the blackened drum on a crisp gouda grit pattie and bed of roasted vegetables. It was glazed with balsamic vinaigrette reduction. She said it was very delicious.

The drinks were good, the atmosphere was amazing and the food was incredible!! If you're able to, I'd take the upstairs view of the sound. The view with the food and music was well worth the price. Our server was Jamie D, and she did a fantastic job of ensuring that all of our needs were taken care of. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time, along with the rest of the staff. I will be returning when I stop by OBX again!!

Awesome staple, very good seafood, appetizers and drinks. Was worried about the cucumber sauce with the fried green tomatoes but it was really good and refreshing, especially mixed with the cheese. Entrees come with mashed potatoes and fresh veggies unless you sub, but I highly recommend both. Fresh veggies are seasoned well with summer squash, zucchini, red onions, green beans and minimal bell peppers, delicious. Coconut margarita and orange crushes are great. The fish and grits were served with swordfish which was amazing along with everything else. Waiter was a top notch pro, great memory on the fly. We sat on the first floor with no wait peak season around 4:30pm. In process food pics included lol

We ate lunch here for the first time today and it was delicious. I had the shrimp tacos with onion rings and my BF had the crab cake sandwich. Both were good but the shrimp tacos were amazing and so, so fresh. We will definitely eat here again.
PS - definitely sit upstairs if you can

Great food, even the french fries! Miller's Signature Salad; the spinach, artichoke & crab dip; crab legs; steamed and fried shrimp; fish tacos; shrimp Po-boy and hush puppies were all delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere on the water was very relaxing.

Kind of 2 restaurants in one. They have a down stairs which is a more toward fine dining, not quite, but leans that way. Then there is an upstairs which is much more causal. Both places have food toward their style. We ate downstairs for our meal. We ordered a basket of their "World Famous Hush puppies", unfortunately both my wife and I thought they were horrible. Tasted to me more like a overcooked funnel cake ball. We ended up sending them.back. From there I ordered the Fish and Grits on our waiter AJs recommendation my wife got the tuna. Both of our meals we're fantastic. My fish was a Blackened Swordfish, out of this world! After we ordered we walked out to the boat slips and watched the sunset. Pretty decent place to watch, not the best, but good and with the ability to walk out on the water. They have a small bar, with a few seats. There are also a few tables outside. All of this is for the downstairs. Didn't really checkout the upstairs. Good Food, service and view of the sound.

One of the best waterfront restaurants in the OBX! Tried to time the wait for a sunset dinner and just so happened to nail it! 35 min wait, no problem, we grabbed a drink and sat on the dock while the kids watched the fish and crabs. After being seated we had prompt service and no complaints about the table, window front with a perfect view of the sunset across the sound. Food was delicious, the scallops were perfectly cooked, and the seared tuna was a perfect rare wit a great sear! The local bear options were great and a small selection of wines also! Will definitely be returning next trip to OBX!

Stopped in here for lunch on our way up to Duck based on the good Google reviews and we were very pleased. Service was attentive, knew the menu, and very helpful. House cocktails were delicious. My wife had steamed shrimp and salad and I had the fish of the day, blackened drum over sautéed veg with a cheesy grit cake. My wife enjoyed hers and I thought mine was perfect. Fish was seasoned great, salty/spicy with a little heat. All of this and a lovely view too.

I typically don’t give 5 stars unless a place really earns it. Great service of a large party, timely service, didn’t have to wait that long for a large party. The typical restaurants that have large parties have many complications, millers had none of those. On top of everything else, there was live music and a pier while we waited!

This was another place we ate at on vacation. Was told a 1 hour wait, but the hostess took care of 20 of us in 10 minutes. 1 waitress took care of us. Food was awesome was a great experience we highly recommend. Her 100.00 tip was well earned

We had a large party and they seated us quickly. The food came out timely and was amazing. The sunset flounder is always a good choice. The tuna steak was perfect and the crab Bisque was exceptional. I highly recommend the hush puppies as well.

Miller’s is a must! We arrived to Nags Head on vacation and popped in to Miller’s for dinner. The food and service were outstanding, the atmosphere was comfortable and very clean. Our server was very polite and prompt, the entire restaurant was busy - yet we still felt like we were his only table.

We ordered cheese curds for an app. I ordered the fish and grits for dinner and man, that was the best dinner I’ve had out, at a restaurant, in a very long time. Hubby had a fish sandwich which he enjoyed very much. I would seriously eat & enjoy the fish and grits everyday if I could. Highly recommend!!

Mike was awesom...ate the band band shrimp and the tuna tacos....nice views too...right on the Roanoke sound.
