The Reading Attic

Love this fun bookstore upstairs above a tea room in Marietta Square. The owner went above and beyond to help me last week, and this store has a unique selection of books, including fiction from a diverse group of international authors. You don't actually have to get your books from Amazon. This place will special order books for you and you'll be patronizing a worthy local business when you shop there.

Run by the wonderful mother-daughter duo, Elizabeth and Caroline, this cozy bookstore brims with charm, offering a rich selection of children’s books and strong support for local authors.

What an adorable local bookstore!! I was lucky enough to be passing through GA the week after they opened and snagged some signed copies of a favorite indie author's books!! The owners were very sweet.

This place is so cute and cozy! It has a good variety of books and cozy seating, not to mention a sweet store dog. I will definitely be coming back!

What a gem to find! I was super excited to find an independent bookstore on my recent trip to Marietta. I love the table layout at the top of the stairs, and the staff picks as the first thing to greet you.

I also love how they highlight local authors and crafters with what they choose to sell here. Keep it local!

Each room has a few seats in it, the fiction room has a comfy couch overlooking the charming Marietta square.

The kids section is huge, and it made my mama heart swell. I really appreciate the diverse selection of authors and topics.

Delightful independent bookstore! Beautiful view of Marietta Square from the children's room, and a lovely selection. The entire space is sunny, open and welcoming. It brings back fond memories of storytime at my mom's bookstore, The Owl's Tree, and the importance of local, independent booksellers to spark children's love of reading!

Escape into a world of words in their haven of comfort. Curl up next to a window bathed in warm light or sink into a plush armchair. When the urge for a warm drink and a delicious snack strikes, simply descend the charming back stairs and return to your literary sanctuary.

Such a charming addition to the Marietta square! I went on their first day open and fell in love with the space, they carry a great selection of different reads and gifts (I found a Hayao Miyazaki illustrated book I had never seen before and they had the newest volume of SAGA, score!) and the owners are so sweet. A must if you're passing through!
