Surfside Lodge

Our room is nice. Very clean. Everything looks freshly painted. Beds are comfy. The view from our room is amazing. There are a lot of food options very close. Can't wait to come back when it's warmer. The pool is pretty too.

We absolutely love staying Here! The rooms are clean and well maintained. All the staff are friendly. It's also very affordable and family friendly. The manager Brenda is simply amazing. She is so super friendly and just all around a great person. We are checking out, sadly, we spent one night this time. We've stayed here in the past but I had a hard time getting a reservation this year so we tried another place and it was a huge mistake! So we got up Saturday morning and came straight here. Brenda found is a room within am hour! We are within walking distance of everything and it's just a great stay here!

I am so glad I found this place! Perfect location, right on the beach. Room was just right for my daughter and me to spend a few days here to be at my son's wedding. Front desk staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. There was a microwave and small refrigerator/freezer in our room which enhanced our stay. Close to everything- you can hear the ocean from the balcony and the boardwalk is a brief walk through the parking lot, lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at Surfside. The location is great because the beach and boardwalk are walking distance. There is a boardwalk behind the hotel to access the beach. Surfside also has two outdoor pools. The rooms were clean and all appliances worked. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would like to thank Ms. Brenda and Sabrina they were awesome and even let me see one of their newly remodeled rooms as seen in the pictures. They only have two done at this time but plan on remodeling them all. When reserving a room ask for room 10 or 11.

This is our second time staying and I must say a marked improvement over the first. The first time was great but they are definitely investing in the property. We came back due to the location, easy access to the beach/board walk, and extremely inviting staff. On our second trip they recently remodeled the room we stayed in and it looked like a 5 star hotel. Remodeled bathroom, brand new hard wood floors, as well as a new deck. This place is the best value on the beach! Don’t over look it extremely affordable, great staff, and they are only getting better! We will be back! P.S. do yourself a favor and grab some of Britts doughnuts while you’re here.

We enjoyed yet another wonderful stay at The Surfside Motor Lodge. So clean and well kept. Excellent and friendly staff. Every comfort of home. Two very nice pool that are always exceptionally clean. Watching the fireworks off of our private oceanfront balcony was awesome. The Boardwalk is now extended all the way in front of the Lodge so you can walk down to the end where all of the stores, shops, restaurants and amusement park is easily. We had four young children with us so this made it so much easier than having to walk beside the road. Love Love Love The Surfside. I could go on and on saying good things about it and how much our family loves it and our stays there. We have made so many memories at Carolina Beach especially at The Surfside. It's like our second home. The staff treats you like family. We are going back in July for another stay!

Great service, location, and amenities. The view could be better, but it was justifiable for the price. It's right on the beach, but a sand dune is blocking the ocean view. It's right next to the bars. While trying to sleep, you could hear the bass from the neighboring bar and, while this wasn't a problem for us, it could be for light sleepers or families. It's definitely within the budget and doesn't smell bad! I'd recommend!

I had a excellent time wasnt in my room much on the balcony yes. On problems were that we had a stove in our room but didnt have pots nor pans. No utensils at all. But other than that had a good stay

I've been going to the Surfside for 30 years. My husband and I brought our kids here and are now brining our grandkids here. NO it's not a fancy resort but if you get a Oceanside second floor room you have a wonderful balcony view of the ocean, which is an easy walk from the hotel over one sand dune. The accommodations are old, dated, but the rooms are for sleeping and bathing not necessarily lounging around. The pools are wonderful for those tired of the sea and sand. My adult children have fond memories of this place and we will continue to come to the Surfside when we are at this end of NC. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful with any requests.

We stayed here for the first time at the beginning of last summer and loved it! Very friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms, prime oceanfront location with access to the newly extended boardwalk. We will be back often!

I always have a great experience here. I've been living in Raleigh and now I live in Clayton and everybody I meet I send to you guys. Stayed in one of the updated rooms last weekend worth every update it looks great and thank you! Brenda is amazing!

I liked the atmosphere but didn't like the no phones in room . A/ c up on wall you couldn't reach it. No ice machine .shower head was way to low . Room was across from a bar that was very loud.

I came to be alone, away from it all back home. Wanted a place quiet and close to the beach. This place is perfect! Clean, quiet, and maybe 30 feet from the beach. It would also be the perfect place to bring my family back to as well. I will definitely return!

Great location. Clean rooms. Friendly, personal staff. Staff went above and beyond expectations. I will stay here every chance I get. Booking my wedding here. Worth the money. Get the beachfront view.

Staff stayed late for us to check in. The rooms were clean and the bed was soft. We were right by the pool, boardwalk and the beach. It's a great place to stay

Great little place to stay! It has boardwalk access to the famous Carolina Beach Boardwalk, as well as walk out access directly to the beach. Location is perfect, everything you could need for the perfect vacstion is either within walking distamce or short dricing distance. The rooms are kept well, and sercice is grest. I strongly recommend anyone to stay here.

On the beach in Carolina Beach! Staff is wonderful, room is clean. It's quiet in the winter but full of energy in the summer. Within walking distance of bars, restaurants, convenience stores and fishing boats.

The receptionist was very warm and welcoming. We have stayed a few times before. Always clean rooms. Beach front and great parking.

Where do I start Its close to the boardwalk and all the attractions as well. Most everything is with in walking distance also. If the ocean is not your thing they have a pool too. This was our first visit but wont be our last. Thanks

GREAT location! This was our 3rd stay at Surfside. Rooms perfectly fit our needs, and the rates are a steal for the time and locale! Really nice and welcoming staff as well!
