I took pictures of the wings and mac but I should've gotten the sweet potato cake because that's what I'm still thinking about.
They're currently cash only, if you're unsure call before you go.
Order @ the counter - mine was about 15 minutes wait and they'll bring it out to you.
I got the hot honey garlic fried wings and they were very tasty. The sauce was glossy and sticky and slightly sweet, more like orange chicken, but I'm not complaining.
The mac and cheese wasn't my favorite, but mac is a personal thing. The flavor was great, I just prefer a roux-based creamy cheese.
The sweet potato cake was dense and a total flavor bomb. I'd take this over a pumpkin pie any day. And the cream cheese frosting was stellar.
When I go back I'll try the smoked wings.

Ooooo boy! Been hearing great things about Dreadlife Kitchen for a long time! We ordered both the smoked and also fried wings with Mango Habanero and BBQ sauces with Mac n cheese sides. The wings are HUGE! The wing sauces are thick and so flavorful. Award winning wings! Excellent Mac n Cheese! Delicious!

All I say is wow! Carribean Soul Food. What cool place with great food! Great relaxing interior, it was spotless. I can see what the hype is about Dreadlife Kitchen. This place is fantastic! This is an amazing dining experience, the reason for 4 star service is that you order at the counter then they bring you the most mouth watering food you have had in a long time! First up was the loaded fries, covered with cheese and pulled pork , topped with a zesty barbecue sauce, an amazing blend that is a meal of it's own! Next up was the shrimp and grits, this is what I came for; mind you I drove 40 miles from Waynesville, it did not disappoint. You get a bed of the most consistent and well done grits in the south, topped with about 8 large shrimp and covered with a wonderful sauce that brings it all together. The owner is a beautiful soul, his personality and presence there is amazing! Overall this place is definitely a 10 out of 10. If you ever find yourself out near Ednyville, NC you must stop and give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Everything was incredible. I especially loved the catfish and that fried cheesecake egg roll was absolute heaven! They were so kind and I loved the relaxed atmosphere.

Outstanding food , super friendly staff. Fried corn was the best, but the smoked wings and thighs were as well- flavorful and tender. Finished with the raspberry cheesecake eggroll- superb. Try this place!

This is one AMAZING place! A MUST dine-in. The owner and staff was the kindest people we have met!

This was by far the best meal I’ve had all year, and the best wings I’ve ever had. This food is so good that it can single handedly cure depression. My husband was enjoying it so much that he kept doing this weird head nod of approval with each bite. The sweet potato tots and fried corn were both incredible, service was good & everything was reasonably priced. I’m still full from dinner and already want to return to try more on their menu

My coworker and I had lunch here today. He told me that the wings are amazing so I tried them, they are AMAZING!!!!! The owner and staff are super friendly, and it truly was a wonderful experience. I definitely will be returning.

I got a cheeseburger, fried okra, Mac and cheese, and wings (I put them all on the same plate after we got home) and the grilled chicken salad! All of it was delicious.

The oxtails & rice tasted just like my Mom used to make🙂 Of course I had to order fried okra & collard greens as my sides. My husband had the hot home garlic wings....also yummy.

I have been driving by this place for a number of years now and finally stopped in today. What a wonderful experience. The service was good and friendly, the food was excellent. We went in as a party of four all ordering different entrees. Everything was delicious.

These are the best wings I’ve ever tasted! The first wing I picked up and took a bite blew me away with how flavorful it was. My family had been here in the past and they kept talking about it. I’m very happy we came. I’ll def be back!

We just went to DLK for lunch after seeing some awesome reviews. The mango habanero wings and plantains were absolutely phenomenal!! If you find yourself in Hendersonville you should definitely give them a try. They also have a food truck that goes to nearby Bold Rock Cider in Mills River. Owner is a lovely guy! We will definitely be back.

First time visiting today for lunch after being told about this restaurant by a friend. We were not disappointed & will definitely be back! The Smoked Wings were flavorful & tender. We tried Teriyaki & Jerk. We also tried the Fried Okra and added Garlic Parmesan when the cashier told us it was her favorite way to eat it. Very tasty!
Planning on going back and taking family and friends. There are several more menu items we want to try such as the Brisket and also the Tacos. Great food & service!

We love this place. We had the jerk chicken philly, fried okra, patty melt, cole slaw and sweet potato tots. Great quality, good prices and the food was very tasty. I can't wait to go back and try their pork chop sandwich and chicken wings. You really need to visit this place. The owner was friendly and welcomed every person that walked in!

Great service and delicious food. You get huge portions. My husband had the lamb gyro and I had the chicken sandwich. We also got wings with the flavor honey hot mustard is out of this world.

Great wings! Nice size and a large selection of sauces & dry rubs. Would totally go back when in the area!

Dread Life Kitchen catered a staff lunch during the YWCA's professional development week. It was our Friday meal to celebrate a wonderful week and it was incredible! The wings were amazing and the vegan burgers were such a great alternative for our non-meat eaters. Dread Life delivered to us and worked so graciously to meet all of our needs. The baked beans and coleslaw were so filling and delicious and everyone on staff kept raving about the wings! What a perfect way to end our week.

Chicken strips are seemingly a whole chicken each, I have a huge appetite and can usually not finish it. It’s a little on the pricy side but you get what you pay for: absolutely delicious food, with great service. The owner and employees are all super nice as well.
