Been going to Mike's shop for at least 10 years. He has been the guy that is honest and will not lead you astray. He'll talk with you through actual options. Discuss with you on what to do next. Won't feed you nonsense. My family and I love bringing our cars to him. I will even advise people I know to give him a call. He even has a FREE rewards program that's really useful that'll help towards future costs/labor.

I’m impressed. I had my car in for some routine maintenance, and made the appointment for a time I could wait there for it. I was in and out in 40 minutes, which is something that never happened at the dealership. Actually the time went too fast, because I was enjoying a warm, comfortable, (nothing fancy), and clean waiting area, and hadn’t finished reading one of the new magazines that had been neatly arranged on the table. They are so friendly, even on the phone. The atmosphere is so positive and pleasant , with no indication of stress, or shortage of staff, which the dealership always had. I wish I had started using Cardinal Automotive years ago. I highly recommend them. What a great business, Mike!

My wife accidentally left her driver's license and credit card at the location while she went to get her UHAUL wiring fixed by the UHAUL location 5-10 minutes away. Well, Mike was great and he stayed late to wait for my wife to return with the van to not only return her driver's license and credit card, but he also attached the trailer that we rented. Fantastic experience in a stressful situation.

Mike has been my mechanic for decades. I completely trust him. Recently I took my Buick in regarding the check engine light and the touch screen entertainment panel was also out. My radio, backup camera, bluetooth were nada. Mike fixed my radio and diagnosed the check engine light. It was a bad catalytic converter. $1500.00
And he's completely honest! He told me to take my car to a GMC dealer because the catalytic converter should be covered under an 8-year 80,000 mile warranty as it only had 63xxx miles on it. He was right! I chose O'Fallon Buick and I'm glad I did. My car is fixed and running like a top again! Thanks Mike!! You are awesome!!!

Mike at Cardinal Automotive is wonderful! He is very honest with any repairs needed and overall just such a trustworthy guy! I live in St Louis but Cardinal is absolutely worth the drive. I was beyond impressed!!! I neglected my oil light for quite some time and it came back to bite me in the rear when my engine finally died. I weighed the value of my car against the cost of a replacement and ultimately decided a replacement would be the best option. I searched for shops by ratings and Cardinal auto popped up with pretty much 5 stars and nothing but great reviews. I now understand why. They basically took over everything without any issue. They had my car towed to the location, they assessed my vehicle and in complete sincerity explained that I had no choice but to replace the engine. I asked for an approximate estimate and in the end, I paid exactly what he originally quoted. Mike contacted me to discuss other issues with the car that would be best to replace or fix without pushing me towards spending more like pretty much every other auto repair shop has done. When all was said and done, my car ran perfectly. Not to mention, cardinal auto offers a ton of extras. They gave me estimates for other issues that I will eventually need to address, they have an awesome rewards program and they even offer a roadside assistance benefit if you don't have AAA/etc. On top of everything, Mike was kind, informative, understanding and HONEST. Quality of work was exceptional but I was even more impressed by the customer service. I have never written a review for anything but I can not help but rave about Mike and Cardinal Auto.
