Cajun Shack NOLA

Found them when I visited New Orleans looking for vegetarian options. I was so pleased I went back three times while visiting. Good food, fun friendly staff. Let you taste the food to make sure I liked it. Give you good amount food on your plate worth your money. Seafood boil better than others around the area. Good flavor not over seasoned with cayenne pepper. It's seasoned right. Crawfish not from gulf your choice, though.

Take out only but they have the best 20 min wait for fresh fried Turkey Wing. Seafood boil has sugar in it and doesn't taste good with boiled eggs. Not much for vegetarian.

Garlic crawfish is very good! Every time I come home to visit I have to stop and get at least a couple pounds of crawfish!

The shrimp tho … not seasoned. I thought it was just an off day but it’s consistently not well seasoned after several visits.

I don't know what real gumbo tastes like but theirs was good.

I came into town from D'Iberville, Ms. Ms. Kim Nguyen was awesome, as well as the young lady that took my order on 6/7@ 11:00. Your establishment is very clean, and the selections are amazing. Prices are great too. I will be visiting again!!! Thanks. Definitely a 5⭐ in my book.

The best Dungeness crabs in the city hands down. They always taste fresh and are not over seasoned AND the price is right- 15.99 a pound. I recently purchased some for a party along with crawfish, potatoes, and corn. The other food was ignored and all the seafood and fixings were gone! The people that work there are wonderful and take the time to drain the water from the bags before weighing them. That extra step shows me they care. I've tried different things on the menu and it's always good, never old tasting. I highly recommend!

Tried the garlic crawfish on their recommendation and it was surprisingly good. Still prefer the good old fashioned to it but worth checking out if you stop by this place. Looks very clean and well kept too. Love to see this in the east.

THIS PLACE IS A MUST TRY! I can not wait to go back. Everything that we tried was amazing. The boiled seafood had a great balance of flavor and spice. The chicken wings and fried turkey wing was seasoned and fried to perfection! The price was good for the amount of food you get. The staff was friendly and the establishment was nice and clean! Definitely going back sooner than later.

l love the boiled crawfish and shrimp...ate here 4 days. I didn't like the fried seafood and rice and the garlic flavor fhrimp or crab legs.

I love the service ,the fresh food ,and the boiled food . My other half and I have been trying different things off the menu for a few months now and haven't been disappointed yet.

Coming from out of state we do not have seafood like this in Chicago. Had the gumbo and Shrimp Poboy, was not disappointed. Will definitely come by again if we are in the city. Staff were nice and answered our questions.

Great place to get some viet cajun crawfish. There wasn't any place to eat though so make sure you have a location where you want to eat.

Quixk service friendly staff. Havent tried thier crawfish yet but it always smells delightful. Got a large red bean for about 8$ ate of it for about 3 days. Everything fresh im in love with thier corn omg. Just try this place very clean in the inside

Service was great. They let us sample the crawfish even though they knew we weren't going to order it as we were just passing through NOLA and were ordering to go to eat in the car. The crawfish was good with decent spice. We ordered poboys. I got the oyster and shrimp poboy. The oyster side was good, but nothing special, just perfectly balanced and well fried. The shrimp, however, was well seasoned and very tasty. The poboy bread helped balance the saltiness, however the shrimp seasoning may have been a bit too salty if eaten alone. Otherwise the food was great.

Best gumbo In New Orleans... So Good had to go back for more.. actually everything is good and fresh!! Broiled Crawfish was amazing better than Castnet( I love Castnet)!!!

The best crawfish in town Try Garlic and butter crawfish amazing great flavor if you like plenty Garlic flavor Cajun shack is where it at no regrets you would be coming back 2nd rounds please try them

Had a shrimp Po Boy there and the shrimp were huge. Me and my wife enjoyed our meal. We will be back again.

Omg! I love this place! From the fried turkey wings to the garlic butter crawfish, I want it all! The staff is so friendly and keeps us want to keep coming back!
