John White, DDS

Dr White and his staff go above and beyond to provide excellent dental care. He created a plan to repair some of my teeth and to place a bridge. He was so kind and never critical of the state of my teeth. I have to drive a fair distance to go there and will continue to do so because of Dr White’s kindness and the quality of his work.

I reached out to John a little over a month ago due to some issues with wisdom teeth. Being 39, and never having surgery, or any major oral work, I was quite nervous about being put under and having all 4 wisdom teeth removed at once.

John, and his entire staff, could not have been more understanding, informative, and patient. The front desk associate Patty, was incredibly helpful figuring out insurance and payment, and did a great job staying in touch and being a liaison between John and myself when I had aftercare questions.

I am absolutely floored how smoothly this procedure went and the care I was given by John and his staff.

After my childhood dentist retired I was in need of a new dental office. I tried two different places before a co-worker recommended John White. What a waste of two years that was. John and his staff are exceptionally skilled and kind. I can confidently say that they gave me my smile back.

I recently visited Dr. John White's dental practice in Asheville, and I must say that my experience was exceptional in every way. I found myself in a dental emergency just before Christmas when I broke a crown, and Dr. White went above and beyond to accommodate me.

First and foremost, Dr. White was able to squeeze me in for an initial evaluation on short notice, despite the busy holiday season. This immediate response to my dental crisis was greatly appreciated, and it instantly put me at ease knowing that I was in good hands.

During my subsequent appointments for the crown repair, Dr. White's expertise and attention to detail were evident. The procedure was entirely pain-free, and he made sure of it by taking great care and using the latest techniques to minimize discomfort. He also took the time to discuss various repair options with me, which made me feel involved in the decision-making process regarding my dental care.

I was equally impressed with Dr. White's assistant, Melissa, who displayed extensive knowledge and professionalism throughout my visits. The entire team's excellent and calming demeanor was truly comforting.

In addition to fixing the crown, Dr. White went above and beyond by identifying another issue with one of my implants. He promptly scheduled me for a follow-up appointment the very next day, demonstrating his commitment to providing top-notch care. He successfully tightened the loose implant and adjusted its height to prevent potential future issues, all while explaining each step of the process thoroughly.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend Dr. John White and his team enough. Their exceptional skill, commitment to patient comfort, and willingness to go the extra mile make them stand out. If you're in Asheville and in need of dental care, you can trust Dr. White and his team to provide the highest level of service and expertise.

I have always had severe anxiety going to dentist offices. We called and told them and they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and let my voice be heard.
I originally came here to get a tooth injury fixed and Dr. White, Patty, and the rest of the staff were so kind and quick to assist me in any possible way they could. They fit me in the schedule and happily fixed the issue the next day. Throughout the procedure (and every procedure after) I was checked in on to be sure I was okay and felt zero discomfort.
After that experience, I knew I had found my dentist office for life. A couple of months later I came back for more work and a comprehensive exam. Not only did my teeth get fixed, my smile is what I've dreamt of having for years. I'm so thankful for Dr. White, Patty, and Gina. I highly recommend this office for anyone with anxiety, who feels overwhelmed with the state of their teeth, and need someone who will listen to each concern with open ears. If I could rate them higher, I definitely would. This experience has changed my life in the best ways and I can't say thank you enough to each staff member.

I recently moved to Asheville and was super nervous about finding a routine dentist. Dr. White and his team made me feel at ease instantly. I had a dental emergency and he worked me in within 24 hours to come up with a treatment plan. I just left his office after getting fixed up and it was phenomenal. (As phenomenal as going to the dentist can be, I know most of us dread the experience) but Dr. White and his team really know how to make it pleasant, and they make sure you are comfortable. No pain, and my teeth are looking great!! From kind staff, to a clean facility, and a top notch dentist, this is the place to be!

My experience over numerous visits with Dr. White and all staff could not be better! They are the rare combination of kindness and COMPETENCY. I’ve had so many bad experiences with previous dentists not numbing me properly and fillings breaking over and over. All procedures Dr. White has done have been painless AND effective, including a root canal and crown. He is truly a master of his craft.

I was so concerned getting a root canal after previous experience and horror stories, but still going strong with no pain after a year.

He created a custom plan to address all my dental concerns. His staff walked me through every step and was very transparent with what my insurance would cover versus out of pocket expenses. I sincerely cannot recommend highly enough!

I've been going to Dr. White for about 8 years and constantly blown away with how painless dental work can be. I have rather extreme dental and needle phobia and Dr. White is very good at working around this. he is always extraordinarily kind to me and his staff and his technique is gentle and accommodating. My visit last week was for a root canal that almost made me think i dont really have any of these phobias. I highly recommend Dr. White and couldn't imagine using another dentist.. Many thanks to the entire crew for being so amazing!

From the beginning to the (close to end), Dr. White has been professional, so so kind, and patient. All he cared about was making me comfortable during procedures and extending compassion when I needed it the most. His dental assistants were just as amazing as him!

John White was very nice the one time I saw him! Honestly, I only switched recently because my insurance is finnicky and wanted me to use a specific person. He gave me a thorough treatment plan with easy to understand prices. I hope I can return if I get different coverage!

I cannot express just how much I love this practice! I have had extreme dental anxiety for years, I was referred to Dr White and I am forever grateful! His staff is wonderful always going above and beyond what is required! I am so pleased with my smile already and I am still in the process of correcting years of damage resulting directly from my anxiety. Dr. White and his staff have made this possible for me! I am always comfortable and well taken care of there! They have never once tried to pass judgement or belittle my anxiety like so many others did. Every single person in this office has treated me with complete kindness, understanding, and professionalism. With each visit, any anxiety I’ve had lessens. It’s safe to say that most people don’t look forward to having any dental procedure. However, I do think you will look forward to the experience of being treated so well from the front desk to the chair. Dr. White not only explains things very well, but he has a very efficient and gentle way. And this goes for everyone in the office. I could go on and on and praise every individual staff member very easily. But just know that I cannot imagine having better satisfaction with a dental practice. Everyone needs a dentist, doctor, and someone to cut their hair, so you might as well find people who make you feel like a welcome friend to do these things. So, unless you are a mean and grouchy person, give them a call and start feeling good about your dental visits.

John White is the ultimate professional - yet friendly as well. I needed help fast - and his team willingly fit me in. He did my root canal & crown. I was very impressed as he used the latest tools & techniques. I could not be happier with the outcome. I recommend Dr. White very highly!

Before Knowing of Dr. John I inquired with another office about doing 2 root canals at once under sedation. I was told that was impossible and they would have to schedule with an outside anesthesiologist. After several weeks of no answers and no scheduled appointment I found Dr John White. Made an initial appointment for X-rays and discuss what I needed. He agreed doing both at once and could take care of everything their. A week later double root canal complete and I’m very pleased. Him and his staff are wonderful. For someone suffering from dental anxiety John White DDS is the place to go.

i can't say enough good things about Dr. Whites office. His staff has been extremely accommodating, professional and kind to me. I have extreme dental anxiety and they were wonderful at setting my mind at ease. After years of neglecting my teeth, I finally feel like I am going to get my smile healthy again. The staff as well as Dr. White are all very gentle, calming, and professional. The office is very clean and comfortable. I am very pleased I have found such a great team to help me with my dental needs.

From the first phone call to the office the receptionist Diane was a wonderful help and followed up with information on my insurance and had an answer to every question I asked! At the office I had a wonderful experience again with Diane and then was greeted and set up by Elaine who was warm and friendly! Then Dr. White came in and explained everything to me and was patient with any questions I had and very reassuring. I definitely am glad I made the choice of going to Dr. Whites office for my dental work! They do a wonderful job!

I had been to the same dentist for 25 years, and sadly, had to find a new one. This office had great reviews and due to all the comments I read about them catering to anxiety ridden patients, I thought it to be perfect for me. I was not wrong! The receptionist was a sweetheart from the 1st email to the scheduling of appts. She is kind, beautiful and seems to be such a warm person. I had some issues with my ins info and it didn't phase her a bit.. she was just as patient as she could be.
The dental assistant I was blessed to have was nothing short of exactly what my anxiety needed. She was patient, laughed at my silly comments, calmed my nerves, was gentle and such a beautiful person as well. She talked to me and tried to calm me by carrying on a conversation, as opposed to making me sit and wait. She was so sweet- exactly the type of person you hope to get at an appointment!
The dentist was also very professional, explained everything to me, made sure I understood what he was talking about and spoke to me like I was an actual person- not just a patient to bill. One thing I loved- you know how the rooms are open at one end and anyone sitting on either side can hear your conversation? Well with Dr. White, he spoke quietly when we were discussing my dental health. (He showed me respect in a way that he may not have even realized!) He was gentle, kind, soft spoken and made my nerves disappear. Having social anxiety to the degree in which I do, makes it almost unbearable to go places without someone with me, but this is one of the places

I have always been very satisfied with the fine work of Dr. White. He and his staff are some of the most caring I've ever encountered. He's always very careful to explain to you exactly what he plans to do, and what to expect. My husband and I have been patients of his for several years now, and felt especially blessed to have found a dentist and staff genuinely interested in us and our welfare. I, especially, have had a lot of anxiety in the dentist chair over the years because of work I've had to have done. So, I am thankful for the nitrous oxide available when it's needed. I feel much more relaxed now when having extensive work done on my teeth.

Oh my gosh!!! Such a wonderful and timely experience! I chipped my tooth while doing a ropes course at Windy Gap and Dr.White and his staff took care of me within 24 hours! Can’t even tell it happened!

Highly recommend. Dr. White is an excellent dentist whose main priority is making sure his patients are comfortable and get the best dentistry he can offer. Everyone in the office is super compassionate and friendly, especially helpful for people with serious dental anxiety like myself. Dr. White has been totally honest with me about my teeth and never made me feel ashamed or embarrassed. Without his help, I might never have gotten the treatment I needed.
