Skyland/South Buncombe Library

We love our local library! We visit once a week and the staff is always kind and helpful. Excellent selection of kids books and mystery books for mom.

I have been a member of Library for the past seven years. The staff are all very nice, courteous and helpful…they are great. The facilities are homey and welcoming and have all of the Resources you would expect. There is no better way to spend local money. It is especially a pleasure to see kids at the library!

The staff is kind, efficient, and detailed. All my requests has received a response, and I leave satisfied each and every time. Thank You for the safety sheets of plastic, very calming to not have to be concerned about healthcare while seeking a good book to enjoy.

I recently moved to the south side of Asheville and discovered the Skyland Library. The kindness of the staff is wonderful, the atmosphere of this library is peaceful, tranquil, and enlivening to my heart. I greatly appreciate the health and safety I feel within while onsite. I always drive to this library, but if I wanted to walk, how would I do it??? There's no sidewalk. Does south Asheville have a history relative to sidewalks in the neighborhood, I would love to know this story.

I honestly don’t understand why people are rating this library so low for not having outlets and charging for WiFi. It’s a LIBRARY where you go to get BOOKS. Yes you can also do a few other things there but they are not the main focus. Go to Starbucks to work like everyone else and leave our adorable, friendly, cozy, neat and well kept neighborhood library alone.

Friendly, knowledgeable professional staff. Over time, I have found multiple services at this location. My vision has changed, so I used the old Ebook system (Overlook), until I updated to the new system (Libby). I find this system for reading good books, to be top notch. Try it!

We like this library and love people working there! Always great service and help with everything!
We also love a beautiful tiny garden, which was created by librarians at their own expense.

I want to apologize to the volunteers and fellow voters for my odd behavior. I have ASD and I got extremely overstimulated faster than even I anticipated . I didnt mean to be rude or scary. I was focusing so hard on not having a complete meltdown that I never told anyone I was autistic. Thank you for being patient with me and not kicking me out. I'll plan better next time. Hope whoever was there sees this and can accept my apology.

oh it was GREAT. the books are great and there is an AMAZING selection of them. and it is SO quiet so that you can work on there. and the staff is SO lovely. and also art.

Great library and friendly service. The people who are complaining are just cheap. A dollar is not expensive for wifi, considering most internet providers charge $60 a month or more.

The librarians are amazing. My 5 year old adores them all. ❤

Never been there so I cannot give a review honestly. I turned around in their parking lot and it showed up on my phone to review it. I give it 5 stars for a nice smooth parking lot.
