El Shaddai Chicken

The server made good recommendations for Peruvian dishes. We had the ceviche, the fried rice, and the tenderloin noodles. Everything tasted good, and our drinks were refilled quickly. Definitely worth trying if you are nearby.

Everything was excellent. Staff was pleasant. We only came in because we were at the laundromat next door. So glad we did. A great hole in the wall place. The quarter chicken meal was amazing. ACP also amazing. Great spot!

Really good for and great service. We went for lunch, came back with dinner. Great portions. It was affordable, convenient and delicious. If you are in town, and want to try out something different, I’d highly recommend 👌🏾👌🏾

Stopped in today since we're in the area and I really loved the chicken! So July and flavorful! The tostones with the chicken are a match made in heaven. My fiancé got the beef tacos 🌮 and he didn't loveeee them but they got the job done. Service was really great and I would 100% recommend this restaurant if you're in the area and in the mood for something flavorfulll.

I had the special, Peruvian Fried Chicken, jasmine rice, salad and potato. $12.99 was a great deal for the amount of food. Restaraunt was very clean. Definitely going back because the menu had so many options worth trying.

Lomo saltado, ceviche and passion fruit juice are delicious. Huge portions!
Also, the staff are great.
Lots of locals dining or getting carry out on a Wednesday night.

I can't say enough about how good the food is here. It's sort of Peruvian/pseudo-Mexican. But it is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. The flavor is fantastic, especially Carne asada. The atmosphere is simple and kind of plain, but the service is very good and attentive and the food is DELIGHTFUL!

First time to NC and found this amazing restaurant completely by accident! Lucky for us they were open, but busy. We were seated promptly by courteous staff. The food and drinks came promptly and our meals were off the charts delicious! The portion sizes were huge, too! That was yesterday and today we went back with a group of 10 relatives, we enjoyed it so much. Decor is not anything special, but the food and friendly faces more than make up for that. If you're looking for great food from a family owned and run restaurant, try El Shaddai Chicken.

I've had there food brought to me since I've been sick, and going thru treatments.. it was wonderful, " roterisse chicken was awesome, tacos yummy, and my favorite..guacamole delicious, food cant be beat for authenticity, and price is more than reasonable. I also appreciate that even though I get food late ( because of getting from treatments late) they still serve me with a smile and give great customer service. I am hoping again this evening, though 20mins from closing for my Shaddai Fix" thanks and keep up the great service and the healthy alternatives as well. 5 stars all the way..

Shad day was wonderful. The service was quick, the salsa was amazing, and the chips were warm. I ordered the Arroz Chaufa which was incredible! Giant portions...I ate 1/3 of it. We also got “the Lomo” which was fantastic. They do not have alcoholic beverages, but they do provide a few other options like horchata and Jalisco drinks. We will be back...because there were so many other things we wanted to try!!

So... Amazing... This was probably the best meal he had during our visit to OBX. We asked the waiter for his suggestions and he suggested three different options, so we ordered all three and they were all just absolutely great. We got all Peruvian food, but they had Mexican options too

You can get Mexican food anywhere, but Shaddai has 100% authentic Peruvian food that is beyond delicious. We got the Ceviche with Mahi Mahi, and the Arroz Chaufa, churros, and the flan. The food was over the top delicious. I ate myself full and then couldn’t say no to dessert. I have never had Peruvian food before, but I am in love. Cynthia was there to help us decide what we wanted and she was so patient! I can understand how someone could get tired of always teaching white kids like me from the Midwest about their culture, but she was 100% happy and open with us! She really promotes her love for her culture and it made me love the whole experience that much more. I was able to relax and get some dang good food while also learning and experiencing new things. I am a die hard seafood fan (especially on the coast) but I think I just found the one food that I would choose over fresh caught seafood - a truly amazing feat.

We were looking for food to eat quickly before we visited the aquarium, but we did not want fast food. This was the perfect fit! The staff were very nice in explaining the Peruvian foods. The food came out quick and was delicious. Definitely recommend stopping here! It is a hidden gem in the outerbanks and could be easily passed if you do not know where it is. We found it from Google maps on a whim. The portions are great too! You can order lunch and have enough for dinner at a reasonable price. They also have food for picky kiddos like chicken tenders. 10/10

The cuisine at Shaddai was authentic and absolutely delicious! Professional and very friendly staff. Outdoor seating was not an option so we got takeout which worked well. Definitely try the ceviche and rotisserie chicken!

Best ceviche ever! We split an order. Super fresh. Well worth the trip. Great horchata and Peruvian flan for dessert.

The food we had here was outstanding and one of the best meals on our two week trip. The salsa was the best I've had in years and our seafood with rice dish was delicious! Everyone we talked to (three people) were so friendly and nice! I hope their business is super successful!

Excellent food and service, hidden gem in downtown Manteo. Happily we found this place and all the reviews are correct! Friendly and helpful staff, very clean restaurant. I'll be back to sample the rest of the menu.

Food is delicious, and serving sizes for most dishes are big enough to feed 2 people. The chips and salsa taste just like how my mom makes em. I'll definitely come around here for food

My family and I ate at El Shaddai today, the staff was very helpful and kind. Went above and beyond explaining the different types of Peruvian dishes. Even helped us learn how to say some of the words xD. The food was amazing also!!
