Hang Ten Grill

Yum! One of our favorite places we dined while visiting Carolina Beach. We sat on the upstairs patio since we had our little dog with us. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick! My husband and I both ordered the Mahi sandwich and loved it. He got fries with his and I got the chips with mine. The fish was blackened perfectly and tasted great. Our waitress was Steph P. and she was amazing! We would visit this place if we were in town again! PS - they also charge a convenience fee of $1.69.

My family and I were looking for a good lunch spot in Carolina Beach. We did an online search and after reading reviews we decided to try Hang Ten. Did not disappoint one bit!! Our starter was the hush puppies served with a cinnamon butter. Really, really good! I had the BLT and it had some of the crispiest bacon, super yum. The kids had burgers and said they were some of the best they’ve had in a long time. My husband had the Philly chicken and let me tell you he is picky with his chicken. He loved it! Crispy well seasoned fries were our side. We will def be returning.

My boyfriend and I went here today while on vacation. We’re looking for new delicious eats. Well let’s just say this place was outstanding! The atmosphere and team that were working were very friendly, quick, and efficient! We both ended up getting the Mahi Tacos and my gosh what a fresh and vibrant dish! The fish was tender, well seasoned, and fresh. Paired with the aioli it was phenomenally refreshing on the pallet. We got the chips as well which were really good. They were thick and crispy so it added a well balanced play of textures within the meal. The atmosphere was very pleasant it felt cozy and welcoming with an outside seating area and inside was close but not so close that you don’t have room to move. I like the idea of being a close knit area welcoming of any visitor that comes up those stairs. I sincerely hope this business does well because they are very deserving of it. Well done.

Excellent customer service. A place I could eat all the time and feel completely at home. The waitstaff was very friendly. The food was brought out fast. The Cod and hushpuppies were really good, so was the grilled cheese. Can't wait to go back and try another dish.

We've eaten here a couple of times in the past. The food was great. They had some good music playing. I had the fish tacos and they were outstanding. I got chips as my side. They were cooled a little more than I like but still good. They also had Pepsi products and I was needing a Mtn Dew!

Enjoyed this place so much! I love how the hostess calls your name and you follow her to your table. Very well run restaurant with great service and the air conditioning works! The food was good and the drinks were refreshing. Good vibes here. We walked, so we had two each. If I could give one small suggestion, toast the bread on the sandwich a bit longer. Food was good. Service was ok. I had a grilled chicken sandwich that was tasty. My wife's Mahi tacos (tried a bite) they were excellent! Fries were good and kids liked their meals.

I had a great experience at this restaurant! My server was very sweet and patient. She had no issue with me changing tables when one was available outside. She also made sure I always had a beer before the one I had was empty. Actually all of the waiters and waitresses that I heard interacting with customers were friendly. I had a burger with onions and jalapeños, fried pickles, and fries... all of it was good and the prices were fair. Highly recommended!

While we visited Kure Beach, we dined at Hang Ten Grill. This restaurant has so much to offer: cleanliness, an inviting atmosphere, hospitality, and delicious food. We purchased four different cheeseburgers with seasoned fries, and everything was hot, fresh, plenty, and delicious. Upon our request, all burgers were cooked well done. Prices were what we expected, based on the location and current economy. We were a bit surprised to receive our bill with a convenience fee because we always pay with cash at independently owned establishments, but the waitress immediately updated our bill upon request. Thanks for our delightful dining experience at Hang Ten Grill!

Good place for a lunch. Not easy to park, but the food was very good and tasty.

We really enjoyed this place. Hubby had Pistol Proof beer and I had a traditional margarita. Both were excellent. For food he had a grilled chicken Cesar wrap and I had a Below the Belt burger. He liked the wrap but the burger was decadently delicious with chili and slaw on top! And good fries too. We sat on the deck, and it was comfortable. Great service too! We'll be back!

So good! There was 5 of us and we each had something diff and all of it was good! They made my cheesesteak into a wrap for me and it was FANTASTIC! Our sever was great! Def recommend!

Really surprised by how much we liked this place. It’s a very casual beach vibe restaurant that’s good for kids. Food was surprisingly good, and our waitress was so nice. We’ll be back on our next Carolina Beach trip. Note - parking is limited. Only a handful of free spots, otherwise you have to pay.

How is this a 4.4 (only)? Every visit. Super friendly, beautiful and professional staff. Ah to be young again :). Sandwiches and O rings best I’ve had on CB Island since arriving here in January. Well located and sweet outside seating. Good craft beer selection.

Wow! What a fun and friendly atmosphere. I brought a hungry crew of eight. We waited a little while, but it was oh so worth it. The food selection is wide, from seafood to burgers to salads and more. My crew each found something they absolutely loved. The portions were abundant. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We loved the Hang Ten Grill and recommend it to anyone in the Carolina Beach area!

Tuna was fresh and cooked to perfection. I had it over a salad. The Hang Ten burger is nice also. Wait staff was efficient and friendly. Decor is very pleasant, and the wait is not bad. Back for another meal and they are just as good. Love that they serve salad with fish, this time Mahi.

We love Hang Ten and always have but we dropped in recently for a quick bite and we were blown away by our meals.

I’ve always liked the mahi sandwich (blackened) but yesterday I ordered it as a wrap and it was phenomenal. My husband tried the hang ten burger for the first time and said it really stood out to him being well made and with quality ingredients.

Also, they serve Imperial beer. 🤙🏼

We loved this place!!! Amazingly friendly staff, great location and excellent food!
After a day of kayaking the river and walking the beach, we were looking for a good place to get fish and chips that would allow us to sit with our dog. It's not a large place, but we loved the cozy atmosphere and top-deck seating.
The timing worked out perfectly for a parking stop out front (there are also metered parking spots available) and a table opened quickly for outdoor seating. (Right in the corner, which was even more perfect with our dog so she didn't bother people)
The food was ready surprisingly fast and my goodness was it good! My husband ordered the Cowboy Burger and I stole more than a few bites (he enjoyed my fish, too...and our dog enjoyed sharing both our meals.)
I believe there were some outdoor games available, but we were too focused on food to take notice. If you're looking for a nice "chill" place to hang out and grab some delicious food at a great price, this is the place! We will definitely be back!

Showed up close to closing time and they set us right down. The food was excellent and the service was superb. Definitely a great spot to grab lunch or dinner. The prices are very reasonable compared to other nearby restaurants.

Loved the environment, liked the music, while waiting for table. Not far from carolina beach, only ten minutes walking distance. Fish & chips were awesome.
