Really cool and welcoming independent book shop! Definitely a must go if you're in Oakmont. Lots of cool selection, reasonably priced.

I love visiting this shop. The person who was working last time I went in was super helpful. I gave her the vaguest description of a vibe I was looking for in a book she was still able to help me find something to read. 😅 even though I didn't quite know what I wanted myself.

Mystery Lovers is a gem! The owners are wonderful, strong women who support our community. The staff is friendly and very helpful as well. There is something for readers of all ages in this warm and welcoming shop. My kids get excited about choosing their books, which makes me excited about their desire to read! I personally don't like mysteries, but that's not a problem because they have plenty of other genres for me to choose from! I've often ordered books that weren't in stock as well. I highly recommend Mystery Lovers for all readers!

I love this bookstore! It was recently purchased and the new owners are investing in updating the business side while retaining the wonderful local bookshop feel and theme. My book club meets there monthly and the store is very helpful and accommodating. Online ordering has been added. Cool thing that the new owners saved.. visiting authors signed the bathroom wall. Awesome!

Small independent book shop in the heart of Oakmont. Sells more than just mysteries, has a decent children's selection along with bestsellers, local interest, and some cookbooks. They're willing to special order books you're looking for. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They have author signings, book clubs, and even book subscriptions. Great local place to support instead of sending money to Bezos.

This was an awesome little bookshop. When we walked in the employee greeted us and offered to help us find anything but didn't pester or try to sell us anything we didn't want. We spent almost an hour just browsing the large selection of mystery, thriller and horror books. Definitely recommended for any book lovers looking to support a great local business.

The Mystery Lovers Bookshop is a great local bookstore with a surprisingly wide selection of mystery novels. The people who work there (I'm not clear on if they're the owners) are super helpful, friendly, and knowledge. I excitedly recommend it to everyone who loves to read.

Love this bookstore. This is what neighborhood businesses are all about. Staff was friendly and helpful even when I came in close to closing time. The book store concentrates on mysteries and I am an avid mystery fan.. Nothing like a book that one can pick up and turn the pages.

Not only is this quaint bookstore a gem, it also offers some great events. The owners often host Sisters in Crime authors. Even the kids' section is fabulous.

It is quaint but friendly and full of fabulous books I'd never heard of! I could've sat there all day and read or bought a year's worth of new books. The staff was extremely personable and helpful.

It's the best local bookshop in Pittsburgh. They specialize in mysteries and books about local history. They'll gladly special order anything, too. They often hold special events with authors. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Cozy, indie-bookstore vibe. Friendly, helpful management. Great concentration of mystery titles, including both a kids' and a used section, as well as new books (& a small, well-chosen selection of high-interest non-mystery and local interest titles).

Wonderful first experience. Highly knowledgeable and helpful- I went in to browse and discovered an armful of intriguing books I can't wait to start reading! I'll certainly be back soon.

If you have a spouse that adores mysteries, then make sure you bring a snack, ‘cause they’re going to be there awhile chatting up the expert and friendly staff. If you are the one who loves mysteries, do yourself a favor and get down there ASAP (and leave the spouse. They’ll just get in the way ;) )

Absolutely great and friendly service. I was looking for a book they did not have. Trevor found it for me, ordered it and shipped it directly to my house and included a free book too as an apology for a delay that was not his fault!
