Duff Community Park

This is a really beautiful park even though it's a little small. But, hey, it's tucked right in the middle of everything going on in Penn Hills. There's a few pavilions, and it would be a great spot for a hammock day or a picnic. I have mainly visited for the skatepark, which is pretty solid. The ramps are metal, and there aren't really any small transitions to warm up on, but there are plenty of features to have fun with. The rails are waxed, which kinda sucks, but it's overall a 7/10 for me, which isn't bad for a metal-featured park. There is plenty of shade for hot days, too.

That said, this park is awesome. There is plenty of flat space for kids who are beginning to bike or skate, and ramps for the older ones to zip down. The skate pad is definitely a hangout for unsupervised teenagers, though.
If you keep following the road that goes past the skate pad, there's a nice quiet playground for younger kids.
The whole park is a good spot to play Pokemon Go.

Relatively steep slopes hill, may be hard with strollers.

Parking is locked to the top and bottom of the park.

There is a skate park up top as well as an abandoned but cut football field behind the municipal building with a dirt track for flat jogging or dog walks.

Better than it was when we got there this morning. Our church, Riverside Community in Oakmont does a project every year called Serve the Burgh and our project was to beautify the park, and we did. Mulched the playground and painted picnic tables and the posts on the pavilion. Looks great now.

Great park and very clean. I just wish the gates were open because I have a little walking problem. I did get good excersize walking the 'Penn Hills'!!!

A nice little park. Skatepark, playground, and several pavilions.

Beautiful, green, lots of trees, I have been there MANY times with my dogs and son.
