I need to add to this review.
Inspired by a friend, my Tuesday dining companion and I went to our favorite sushi place. Now, two/three weeks ago we tried an all you can eat place that just opened up. A fairly high end one. There were 4 of us and all of us left unsatisfied. The quality there and presentation and heck, the whole dining experience was just off enough that we'll not go back.
So, back to our usual place and boy, were they on point with the meal. Not only was the fish super fresh, everything was just right.
Now, I suspect they went a little above and beyond tonight because I told them about the other place, but this place is consistently excellent. So, without further ado, I present our Dinner.
On the large plate going clockwise, we start with tuna sashimi, salmon sashimi, sex on the beach, Monroeville roll, Pittsburgh roll, eel roll, spicy tuna roll, and in the center tamago sashimi. The upper left had some lovely orange pieces in a cute basket and everything was presented beautifully.
The second plate is one of their signature dishes called a Pink Lady Roll. The special sauce is a mix of spicy mayo and eel sauce and something else we cannot figure out. It's spectacular.

(three years ago) Excellent as always. Being very diligent in keeping stuff sanitized. Sushi was, as always, spectacular!

Lots of parking. Clean restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff. Nice ambiance and relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food that was fresh and made to order. Prices were reasonable for the quality received.

A gem of Monroeville! It's been consistently great since I started going 15ish years ago. Quality and delicious sushi and hot dishes. Good atmosphere and great service. Great bar and menu choices.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to, everytime I go I know il be leaving with a happy stomach and smile on my face, best sushi anywhere around, always so fresh and beautiful and their regular entrees are amazing as well! The rainbow roll is so good and my partner is obsessed with the seven stars around the moon dish, will always recommend this restaurant :)

This restaurant is an Asian fusion restaurant. I like the decoration and atmosphere in the restaurant. We order 3 dishes (pink lady roll, Sun bay jee, Seven star around the moon). The food is really good with cool name and fancy description. For us, we would love to go again to try out other dishes.

Pink Landry roll is super good. The sauce is not too thick so we can still taste the flavor of different fish.

For Sun bay jee, it is quick different from the one we expect. Usually, we use chicken thigh or at least chicken with bone to make it, but they use sliced chicken breast. The seasoning is not strong. In summary, I like it since I do not need to deal with the bone when eating.

Seven star around the moon is a fancy and delicious dish. The description is fancy and we want to know what it means as heavenly, so we order this dish. The 7 fried shrimps are the best fried shrimp I have every had. They are very crispy, big and thick. I don’t know how they make it, but it is amazing! The fried meats and vegetable taste balanced. The meats are tender and there are a lot of scallops in the plate.

Their food is always perfect! I have fears with eating food and sushi is one of my biggest food fears because I don't want to get sick and I trust this place fully with their sushi. I am extremely picky when it comes to the sushi I like and I will literally always love this place and I never question the quality of their food. My go to roll is the volcano roll which is always amazing. Definitely give it a try you will not get disappointed.

We eat here often and the wait staff are friendly and attentive, service is prompt and the food is great! I love coming on a cold day and getting a pot of hot tea! My husband likes their sushi, and their lunch specials are reasonable and served with soup or egg roll. Their hot and sour soup is yummy. One of our favorite dinners, when we visit in the evening, is the Sun Bay Jee — sliced chicken with garlic, ginger, onion and basil served sizzling in a hot pot. The smell alone is fantastic! They are usually pretty busy, which says something for their customer loyalty as well. Parking is free and plentiful too.

Always a wonderful experience. My favorite roll is the Pink Lady, and I am not exaggerating when I say that I literally tell everyone at the table to stop talking and I close my eyes with each bite. It's heavenly.

Traveling from out of state and came across Taipei-Tokyo. The reviews were good so we had to try it out. We ordered a few sushi rolls and also some Chinese dishes. Everything was fresh, tasty, & authentic. Jerry was our server who was friendly and made this experience feel like home!

We celebrated my friend's birthday here last night. The food was delicious and the service was fast. Our server took good care of us. Definitely recommend this place for Sushi and Chinese.

We have eaten at this restaurant literally dozens of times. Always just a great experience. This is one of the only restaurants that never has a bad or off day. Amazing every time. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Probably one of the best Chinese restaurants around. Very good food and service, and the sushi is very fresh. Definitely a great place to grab takeout or just sit inside for a date night!

We have been going to Taipei-Tokyo for almost 20 years. It has changed ownership a few times but the food and service quality have not changed. We love their sushi, calamari dream, salt and pepper trio, pad thai, and shrimp fried rice, but we have tried just about the whole menu and it’s always been very tasty. The portions are big, which is very nice if you like to have left overs.

Nice spot for a variety of Asian dishes near Monroeville mall. Sushi here is good and the Chinese dishes were well seasoned in a variety of sauces. Nice spot not to far from the hotels and mall.

An amazing neighborhood regular!! Their entrees are amazing but their sushi is even better!!! The best in the area, for the price and customer service. The staff is very accomodating and helpful. My partner and I frequent at LEAST once a month. Stop by! You won't regret it ☺

I’ve been coming here for years with my family - probably almost 20 years now! The food is always great and I love having a place where I know I can go and get good food consistently. I particularly love their sushi. I feel like it’s some of the best value sushi in terms of the quality and price. I love to get the Sushi Regular combo and everything always tastes super fresh. You don’t need to go into the city and pay and arm and a leg for good sushi in Pittsburgh!

The sushi was great and the service was super fast. I also ordered a meal that came out fantastic. Will be returning soon

Great place to sit down and get some good Chinese food. I like their Chicken and Broccoli. They are very friendly and provide great food and service. I would highly recommend.

Authentic Taiwanese cuisine and yummy sushi. I highly recommend going here! I would recommend the stir fried udon noodles, Phoenix sushi roll, Pink Lady sushi roll, and basically any seafood. It is fresh and has fast and friendly service.
