Comfort Inn & Suites Montpelier-Berlin

We checked in at about 9:00 the older woman at the front counter was delightful she gave me all the tips for the establishment. Great breakfast they had everything juice a waffle maker coffee cereal eggs one of the best hotel breakfasts and I typically stay at 30 hotels a year

I stayed here in May of 2024 for two nights. I am handicapped and needed a handicap room. When I arrived the checkin was really easy and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The first thing I realized when I entered the room was how clean it was and how fresh it smelled. There was a light switch upon entry. The other light switches were a big hard to figure out. There were plenty of plugin options and great WIFI, easy to connect. The bed was very soft and comfortable. I had a little problem with getting into the bed as it was pretty high. The bathroom was simple with a tub and grab bars all over the place. The toilet was placed pretty far from the wall grab bar, but since it was a higher toilet I managed.

The morning breakfast was really good. I got there at 8am and there was lots of food and choices. There was a huge group staying there so Saturday it was really crowded but the food was still well stocked.

They also had complementary coffee and cookies at all times.

Checkout was easy. I cut my stay short by one day and they quickly refunded me. The person at the desk offered me a bottle of water for my travels. This was an impressive move.

Clean, convenient, and friendly. It's a no frills place to stay, but it is a reliable standard.

Note there is an Erving station with a really good sized market and some counter service food right next door.

Our Tesla's navigation successfully directed us to this location for the super charger plaza, Upon arrival, we found that all 8 chargers occupied, resulting in a brief 10-minute wait and therefore We used the restrooms of the inn.
The front desk was super friendly and the bathrooms are were very clean. Recommended

Had a great experience from check in to check out. Was a quick 1 night stay in transit through VT, but Carol who checked us in drew us up a map on a couple things we needed to see/do in the area. Excellent crew, but Carol and her coworker went above and beyond. Clean, comfortable room.

I would like to commend Comfort Inn for letting me use the bathroom and giving me a warm place to wait while my EV car was charging. I wish the other charging options were this nice and accommodating ! Thank you. I’ll keep it in mind the next time I’m booking a hotel.

My wife and I have stayed in many Choice Hotels. Usually we stay at Comfort Inns. My hat is off to this manager and his staff. Especially his housekeeping. This is the nicest, cleanest hotel that we have stayed at. They have a full complimentary breakfast as well a cookies, sodas, and coffee for guests as they come in the door. This is a rare gem right here. We were very pleased with our stay.

To give credence to my note below, I work in planning events and have stayed in 5-star hotels around the world. When I travel personally with my family, I do not have, or want to spend, the dollars on the room, rather, I want to spend my money on experiences. That said, I don't normally write reviews but wanted to give my kudo's to this hotel. It is rated on Google as a 2-star but, in my opinion, it should be a 3-star. The 2-star rating may be because they are basic in design and decor. However, my bed was comfortable, everything worked well and I had all the amenities. Comfort and Cleanliness is all that I'm looking for normally.

My expectations were exceeded by the front desk staff, their ability to respond immediately to any needs making it so convenient, and the complimentary food and drink offered. Complimentary FULL breakfast every morning for 4 hours! (hard working staff were assigned during breakfast to clean, refill and answer questions.) Complimentary water, coffee, tea and soft drinks available 24 hours a day in the lobby. Complimentary cookies baked daily onsite, YUM!

I was very impressed with this Comfort Inn, their staff and attention to detail was above average. Highly recommend!

This is now our preference hotel in Vermont area, the rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is unbelievable, at the main lobby you can have water, coffee, sodas and cookies. The staff is super friendly and the location is perfect. Additionally there is an Applebees in the parking lot just in case you have a late night dinner need. Me and my family just love this place.

The room was great, breakfast was awesome & the laundry facility was a life saver. We loved the staff & enjoyed the free coffee, cookies, and soda every time we came in from our adventures. It was a 10 minute drive to Montpelier, which was more than I thought it would be considering that "Montpelier" is in the name of the hotel, but other than that, it was awesome.

Rarely do I give 5 stars to anything. But, in the 15 years I have been a choice member this is the best comfort inn I have ever stayed in! It must be new because it smells and looks that way. ALL the staff encountered were above average to myself and guest. I will only stay here when I return in a month, and I only wish half of the others would be this way. Cudos to the managing owners for their staff.

Nice, clean room close to downtown Montpelier. We stayed here two nights and it was wonderful. Location is great. Rooms were near and clean, updated. Breakfast was exceptional. Actual hot food and every other thing you could possibly want. Breakfast room was clean and well attended to. Definitely recommend staying here if you're passing through.

By far one of the best Choices Hotels we have stayed in - and I have stayed in many. The room and other areas were all very clean. We also found the staff to be very professional, kind and helpful.

The room is practically brand new. We were extremely impressed with how CLEAN the room was. The staff in the front were positive and super friendly. I came back from a ball last night and the front staff were my hype squad and complimenting my dress😂 OH and did I MENTIOM THE BREAKFAST! You can make your own Belgian waffles. They have buffet style. The breakfast is included in the price. Breakfast anywhere else for two people is over $50! The value for everything you get in the price is 100% worth it. You get parking, breakfast, cleanliness, AND quiet. Thank you for having us!

Best comfort inn I have ever stayed at. The rooms are very clean and spacious, there is free coffee/hot drinks/soda and cookies in the lobby, and most importantly the staff is extremely professional, hospitable, and just very pleasant to work with. Highly recommend, can’t go wrong here.

Hands down one of the best customer service experiences I've had. Very welcoming, everything was very clean. Close to Norwich University for those visiting (and they offer a discount for Norwich visitors as well). Great hotel! I will be coming back to stay here agian.
