Vela

Finally got to try this place! It was a very spacious and beautiful restaurant with great ambiance! Their Octopus and Barrata from the starters menu were fantastic and the rigatoni was delicious. The highlight of the night was the dessert of course, (we even forgot to take the picture!) the vanilla ice cream with peach was to die for. 😋 The customer service was amazing and my friends and I had a wonderful evening here. I highly recommend this place!

The food here is FABULOUS! The interior is well decorated and there is a good vibe when you walk in. The people are very friendly, all in all its a great meal. The prices are consistent with the level of quality you receive. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely want to support this restaurant. I dropped a star on service because of an incident we had when seated outside. Our waiter basically forgot about us. One of the other waiters ended up serving us and the Owner was kind enough to comp some of the meal. This one incident didn't prevent us from coming back many times and this has not been an issue since. This is in a small shopping center so there is typically plenty of parking. They have a full bar but they do offer "cork service" for $20.

The service & dinner was excellent. Love the ambience of Vela. I had the bass special it was so yummy. We celebrated one of the girls birthday and we could have pick a better place to celebrate.

Had an excellent meal at Vela. The restaurant is beautiful . . . very modern and immaculately clean. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Little Gem Salad and a special, Branzino on a bed of spinach and thinly sliced potatoes. Delicious! I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. You will not be disappointed.

Shay and Jason have made Vela our favorite bar in Doylestown! Great food and better drinks…especially espresso martinis!

We went for dinner and it was a nice, romantic atmosphere, upscale casual dress. The food was delicious and the seating was spaced out so you felt like you had a private experience. I didn't see any kids in attendance. Perfect date night. Also, the chairs were very comfortable, and we're bigger people. Parking was available but limited in the small center, additional parking across the street.

Fantastic food - fall-off-the-bone ribs were to die for. Salmon was perfectly seared. Chef/owner does her magic and our group was totally delighted with all our food. Didn't even have time to take pics.

Was here for a baby shower. The space is huge and beautiful. The food was really tasty and the servers working were really kind & attentive. I have to go back for dinner. But the pizza was very delicious, salmon very tasty and cooked perfectly. The menu looks amazing . Far from where I live but may be worth the trip with the family.

We had Friday night reservations for 5. Started off with wine and a few starters. Mussels were one of the chef's special appetizers for the day, which we ordered and shared with the whole table. They were amazing, probably the best mussels I have had. And we mopped up the broth with the extra bread on the table. So good. Our main course: 2 of us ordered the Branzino special, which included some roasted potates and escarole. 2 of us ordered pasta dishes, and 1 of us ordered a burger. All the meals were great, well prepared, nicely presented. My only complaint is they didn't all come out at the same time; there was a several-minute wait between the Branzinos and the pasta dishes, which was a little awkward for our group. If I could make my rating a 4.5 I would do it just for this minor timing issue. We also ordered desserts - one blueberry crisp and the rest ordered pot de creme. All were delicious. The pot de creme was amazing. The attention to detail and care of the chef really shines.

I enjoyed our dinner at Vela and we will definitely return!

I had a party for my daughter's bridal shower in the private room. The atmosphere, service and food was excellent. The manager, Brian was extremely accommodating and helped make the party run smoothly. The food was so good that several of our guests made reservations for future dining. I would highly recommend Vela for your dining and party plans.

Stopped by this evening 3/15. Food was excellent. From the Swordfish to the Pasta and salad. The food was great. Very nice atmosphere too. Will be back soon. Ty

We tried Vela for the first time for a date and loved it! The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. We had the meatballs, spare ribs, and bass with an In Bloom, Bees Knees and an El Scorcho which was awesome 👌 The creme brele and some cappuccino dessert was also delish, highly recommend.

Took our friends here for dinner. Drinks,food, atmosphere, and service were all wonderful. Great place in doylestown and has a parking lot. So there is no street parking to worry about.

Food was simply delicious. I look forward to visiting again.

Service by Lisa was wonderful - that perfect balance of being checked on, and not intrusive, and there's an entire team of those who cleared our plates and replaced silverware that deserve the compliment too. Appetizers - mussels and meatballs were great , watermelon and beet salad was refreshing, each of our entrees = delicious. But let me go on for a little about the cocktails - what a nice surprise: don't pass them up. "Sunshine in my pocket" was so much better than I anticipated. Looking forward to our next visit!

Delicious food. Shared a salad but the pasta portions were not big enough to share, too yummy. Comfortable environment. Personally found it more enjoyable without the kids at this one.

We had a great lunch here. The food was excellent. We also found the restaurant very comfortable (seating) and attractive looking. I had salmon and my husband had rainbow trout both terrific! The draft beers were great too. Victory and Allagash and Long Trail. (We are not wine people but it's a nice wine list).

Tried Vela for the first time last night and was super impressed! All the food was delicious, appetizers, drinks, dinner - the halibut special and pork milanese were so good! Service was excellent and I loved that we could reserve outside dining on a beautiful night - the inside is gorgeous too! Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Modern looking, very clean. The food was excellent: chicken and fish entrees were both very tender, with vegetables perfectly done, not mushy. The kids' pizza was bubbly, thin and delicious . Desert was lame. Drinks were original and tasty.

My boyfriend and I went to VELA for restaurant week and had a great experience. Our server, Freddy, was awesome. He was super helpful and made some great recommendations and checked in with us multiple times to make sure we didn't need anything. We tried a few different cocktails which were all delicious. I also love that they leave a bottle of water on the table to refill your glasses. Between the two of us, we had the spinach salad and meatball appetizers, the short rib and salmon entrees, and the blueberry crisp and chocolate cappuccino mousse cake desserts. Everything was excellent! Loved the decor too. It's very open inside, so I can see how it might get a little loud in there if it's busy, but considering it doesn't give off a small/intimate vibe, that is perfectly acceptable. Overall, a great place to take a family member or client out to dinner, or just for a nice night out. The restaurant is kind of tucked away in the plaza where the liquor store is (which is how I first noticed it), so I hope other people notice it and give it a try.
