Joseph Ambler Inn

I came here for a funeral luncheon. The food was very good. I enjoyed the steak they had and the desserts they offered. The location was very nice. The architecture of the buildings and the views of the woods and creek, I can only imagine how beautiful this place would look in any season other than winter.

Attended a funeral lunch in last week. The setup was beautiful the grounds are breathtaking. Such a cute little place to have a get together. We had the choice of two menu options a herb chicken or a salmon. The salmon was wonderful the sauce was delicious. The staff and bartenders were very professional and everything was perfect.

We all (8) had a wonderful time. We had the octopus and egg rolls for appetizer. Food was very good and service was attentive.

I take my parents here for lunch regularly and we all have a great time. The only reason I don't give service full points is because sometimes restaurant service seems to compete with event service. It makes sense that event service is given priority, and the food is so good it has never been an issue. Highly recommended.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday here. Nice outdoor dining and seating. Fresh bread and salad with walnuts and fresh berries. Good drinks. Filet was cooked to perfection. My sea bass over crab risotto was very good. Complimentary dessert for my wife’s birthday. Great service and friendly conversation by our server, Denise. Will definitely be back.

First time there, even though it is close by!! Started with a glass of wine, warm bread and butter. Entree was their chef's special - crab imperial stuffed lobster, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables (green beans & carrots). Creme brulee for dessert. One of the best meals we've had in quite a while. Food was delicious (compliments to the chef), and the service was excellent!! We will be returning!!

Well, its an old historic hotel- Beautiful grounds and buildings. We had a maintenance issue that was quickly resolved and we were compensated for our issue- who could ask for more? BTW- the restaurant was incredible!

Joseph Ambler Inn was a dream come true for wedding venue! Working with Jamie and the rest of the staff was so easy and stress free. We had a lot of requests such as specialized meals for guest with food allergies, how to set up the décor for the reception, and space for hair and makeup. All of these requests were accommodated with no issues. One example of how Joseph Ambler Inn went above and beyond, was about 2 hours before the wedding we realized the petals for the flower girl had not been delivered. At this point our entire wedding party was having their photos taken. Without even being asked Jamie and her team had gone to a local store, bought roses, and prepared them for the flower girl. I think this just illustrate that at Joseph Ambler Inn they truly care about your special day, and you are not just another event. Outside the wonderful staff, the location is also just perfect. Most of our guest were arriving from out of state so having the opinion to have our guest on site was perfect. We also were able to have all our events on site including rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, welcome party, ceremony, reception, and afterparty. On top of all of this the food was just amazing!! I cannot count the number of people who told me how much the enjoyed the appetizers, meals, and drinks. If you are looking for a venue that truly, does it all and goes above and beyond on your special day, Joseph Ambler Inn would be the ideal place for your big day!!

Today 12/27/23 we celebrated Christmas with our family it was a wonderful day. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. I would recommend the Joseph Ambler Inn for any occasion.

Unfortunately, I visited the Joseph Ambler Inn for two funerals. The service was wonderful. It was beautiful and relaxing. The food was great! I'm not sure if I could afford to stay or eat there on my own, however.

We had a surprised 70th birthday, had a buffet for 46 people. It included filet mignon, crab cakes, salmon, mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, pasta carbonara and ice cream Sunday bar. Food was excellent and delicious, service was excellent, abdbi thought the pricing was reasonable especially for the great quality of food.

we reserved a room in the restaurant for a 90th birthday party. It was lovely and private and the service staff was fantastic. The fillet is the best.

Thank you for making our graduation celebration spectacular! Sean, our host, catered to our every need and request, anticipating all the necessities. The food and drink were decadent. The outdoor patio with beautiful grounds and quaint buildings for our backdrop made the evening enchanting. The staff who supported Sean were terrific.

JAI never disappoints! Our family and friends had a magnificent time. Thank you again for making this event a lovely family memory!

Great place to stay if you’re in the area. The separate Thomas Wilson house was very charming and the room we stayed in (410) was a corner room with a lovely view of the trees and greenery and birds chirping in the distance. We got booked into the wrong room at first (a suite with tub) and actually found the standard room we booked more to our liking due to the setting. Dinner was good albeit on pricier side; note that you do see and hear the street from the terrace. Breakfast was ok; would have preferred to not have Styrofoam cups for coffee .

Step back to colonial Buck's County at the Joseph Ambler Inn. An event destination, as well as a bed and breakfast, the Inn houses a bar and restaurant in the original, rennovated stone banked barn. We'll suited to large groups due to their event hosting pedigree, the restaurant at the Inn is the place to bring a large party to celebrate your special occasions.

Great evening with friends recently at the Joe Ambler Inn. Service, food, and atmosphere was exceptional. So lucky to have the Inn literally right down the street.

We went for my girlfriends birthday. The filet was amazing. The absolute best was our server Denise. Hands down the best server I ever had. She was so friendly and attentive. She was like having another friend with you. She is such an asset...Ambler be sure to take of her. Employees like her are hard to come by.

We went for Mother's day. It was wonderful. The service excellent and the food delicious.
We had crawfish etoufee (?), Pork schnitzel and scallops. All were done perfectly. Only one minor note...the broccoli cheddar soup was good but a bit salty.

Jamie Burns, Banquet Manager, was very accommodating with a late request for a small banquet room for my family’s repast. The food was exceptional, the service was phenomenal and the rooms were charming! I cannot thank Jamie and her staff for a wonderful experience during this difficult time. I highly recommend the Joseph Ambler Inn to anyone considering a great venue. They deserve more than five stars!!
