The Metropolitan, American Diner & Bar

My family and I made reservations for four people at 6:15 PM. We were seated in less than 20 minutes. It was packed and people had to wait over 40 minutes. Make sure to reserve a time before going! Our waiter sat us in a booth that gave us comfort and privacy. Drinks, bread and butter were provided right away. We had Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the Metropolitan Caesar Salad as appetizers. The salad was grand (the eggs and scallion made it even better). Our main dishes were amazing! Portion sizes were all generous. My parents ordered the shrimp and scallop in crab sauce and shrimp and scallop linguine. I ordered the blackened tuna ahi wrap with sweet potatoes. Each dish was beyond delectable. 10/10

Solid spot after a Costco visit. Great menu. Lots of kid choices (impressive) that included drink and ice cream. Onion soup was not your typical French Onion but really tasty. Burger was cooked perfectly. Turkey Club sandwich was delicious. Waffle and chicken sandwich was tasty and cooked perfectly. Our server, Tony, was high energy, super cheerful, and did a great job.

We will definitely be back!

First time for breakfast! Did not disappoint! That's so good! Our server was amazing - always checking to make sure we were ok or needed anything. Coffee was fresh, and food came out quickly. Opened at 11 am so could be late breakfast/brunch or lunch! Recommend highly!

Very satisfying dining experience, servers well trained and professional, food served very fast, environment clean and spacious, price reasonable. Very convenient reservation system, just go online and search out for this restaurant and you're in. No phone calls nor wait outside in the cold. If you register as member, they give you $5 off for $50 last visit. Highly recommended and will visit more.

This was the perfect stop and cop a meal experience. The food matched the marvelous service. Delicious food and the atmosphere were very inviting. The server was wonderful.

Food tastes amazing with really great pricing. Huge menu with plenty of options. We were glad we found this place. The dining atmosphere is nice too. Spring rolls are a must. Try all 3. They are delicious.

Amazing restaurant on Upper State Rd (near Costco) in North Wales. We came here for lunch. Enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day to try their breakfast! The food is outstanding and portions are large. Everything is made to order and plated beautifully. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The Metropolitan is popular and therefore very busy. We were very happy with our meals and recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

Wow, is all I can say. Servings are enough for two people. Service was great, and the food was excellent.

We stopped at this restaurant while we were in the area looking at campers so it's the first time since it's 45 minutes from home. The breakfast my husband ( pancakes & lots of bacon ))and grown son ( French toast & a huge piece of scrapple) had was great, I had the Crab cake and it was one of the best I've had. We all said we should take a trip back . We were there at 3pm.

I went there on Saturday for lunch with a friend. I had never been to Metropolitan before, didn't even know it was there! I'm very grateful to my other friend who gave me the gift card. This place was just excellent on every level. Our server, Denise, was patient, as the menu has lots of choice. She was pleasant, eager to share recommendations, and when I needed my food wrapped, she actually went and wrapped it! I hate when restaurants plunk down to go containers at the table and have the patrons do it themselves! Anyway, food was great, service was excellent, prices, very reasonable, definitely a place I'd recommend!

Service could have been much better . The waitress seemed like she wanted to get out of there and did not seem to know much about the menu. Was very surprised for we have visited so many times. I think in the bar area it is way much better. So next time we will wait. It's so sad to write this review, but we want service to be a pleasant experience since we don't go out often.

Food was good! Our server kevin wonderful! It was my birthday and he made it special. He went out of his way to get things done that weren’t on the menu! Great time great memories!

Food is delicious and large portions. The cheesesteak egg rolls were good but would’ve been better with some horseradish sauce but still a nice sized portion for an appetizer. The Crispy Shrimp Tacos with pineapple salsa were delicious & the potato puffs AMAZING! Our server was accommodating and helped us decide what to choose.
Overall great service.
I recommend Metro & will be returning.

A mouthwatering and unexpected little diner off a side road. The staff was nice, atmosphere calming, and food was delicious! With big portions for the price (we were stuffed an all we got were entrees)!
I highly recommended checking this place out of you're looking for somewhere new to eat

The food was outstanding. My entire family enjoyed the entire meal from the bread to the dessert. The waiter was awesome. We will return soon.

We just had an 80th birthday party/family reunion for 35 people in their back room and everyone had a fantastic time! It was the perfect space for our big group. The service was excellent. Linda the Manager was great to work with in the weeks leading up to our event and on the day of. Lots of great food options that cater to many different tastes and they're also quite conscientious about gluten-free and vegetarian options. Highly recommend it!

So good! I had such a good time with friends at this restaurant, I haven’t even left the parking lot and I’m already posting this review. I had the walnut mandarin and feta salad with the Cajun chicken and corn chowder.

My friends and I are already making plans to come back… and we aren’t even local!

While I don’t recall my servers name, she was a total gem. My friends burger was undercooked but both the server and manager were so nice about fixing the issue that I’m not even holding it against them.

Burgers are very good. General T'so bone in wings are fantastic with their homemade blue cheese is great. Chicken breasts with mushroom risotto is delicious according to my wife. Service is always terrific. I have been going here for about 15 years and will keep going there.
