Cliff House Restaurant

One of the most unique dining places in Stowe. Need to take the gondola to get to the top of the mountain. This restaurant has absolutely gorgeous views and food. Reservations required.

Service was absolutely amazing and so was the food. I loved their waffle sundae! The spicy black bean burger is a great option for vegetarian food. It’s a must try. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant.

Thanks for the Gondola ride up and down the mountain. The waffles at the Cliff House were great. Although we didn't have time today, we will be back soon to take one of the trails to the top of the mountain.

This restaurant near the top of Mount Mansfield is perfect for lunch while taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The views are worth everything you spend to ride the Gondola up from the base, and the food is priced fair and very tasty and well prepared. Afterwards, enjoy walking around all the nearby trails.

Very very Good food!! Awesome views!! The Chicken sandwich and Arugula salad was Fantastic. All of the staff was very kind and accommodating!

We had a great lunch here while skiing. The service was great and so was the food!

Food was okay, but the view is spectacular especially in a nice sunny day in the Fall foliage changing time! A reservation is highly recommended. We had outside seating, and was a bit windy that day as it's on the top of the mountain. Staff were friendly.

The meal was surprisingly good, pub fare with some local flare. Portions were big enough that I had second thoughts about hauling my stuffed body up the cliff trail.

The views are excellent though - even if the food had underwhelmed, the experience would’ve been worth it. Our gondola ride took us through and above the clouds which we watched begin to clear as we ate, revealing peak foliage.

Offers some breathtaking views of the mountains while dining on some lunch. Just an fyi since it is a ways up the mountain that food choices are limited, which can be expected. They do have a few taps if you're looking for a beer after getting off the gondola. The only gripe, which is understandable as well, is the pricing. I'm sure it's not cheap to have a restaurant that far up a mountain, but the food was surprisingly good even though the prices might be tough to swallow. I'd say bake the views into the price. For thr cost of the gondola and the food itself probably won't do again, but glad we made it up there at least once. The experience was great as we sat out on a warm, sunny afternoon.

Amazing food, Amazing service, good Vegetarian options.
We are vegetarians, so we ordered black bean Burger with side of salad and fries, Sangria. Everything was too good. If you are a salad person and then would definitely recommend fruit salad there.
And I love sangria, so I am very picky about that, it was tasting amazing. Check out the pictures

Although I couldn’t see elsewhere but just being on the mountain was a wonderful experience for me. Planning to visit again for sure.
The meal was delicious .

Had the poutine' a bloody mary and chicken sandwich. All were very well executed. 10/10 would do again.

Such a place ,delicious food and has an amazing views. Make a reservation before you go to this place. Mac & cheese with braised pork ribs is so delicious, so creamy. Thank you for the service and stay safe

We arrived 10 minutes late for our reservation, but they still had our table. Traffic was very slow to the gondola. According to Google, traveling by car from Burlington to the Gondola should have taken 1 hr. It took us close to 2.5hrs (it was a holiday weekend), so travelers beware! The food was very good and the service was great. There was a low-lying cloud the day we went up, so you could not see expansive views, but we loved it just the same.

The cliff house is one of a kind place that one does not come across often in one's lifetime.
How should I describe it? You sit in a warm cocoon of a place and enjoying good food while soaking in the panoramic views of Vermont from its highest peak!!! The food is great! We had the clam chowder, the cliff house burger, bbq pork sandwich and a chicken wrap. Everything was beautiful! Also, if the ambiance and food doesn't warm you up, sit back and enjoy the house special hot toddy and the spiced cider!

Very expansive and super nice. The view is on point. Must purchase food when take a table. Soup is like $16 and it's the cheapest option there.

Great views, warm ambiance, hot chocolate, decent service and falling snow add up to 5 stars for Stowe's Cliff House at the top of Mt. Mansfield. Worth the effort. Reservations required as of 02/2021. Plan ahead to get there based on lift lines at gondola. You have one hour to dine and the clock starts whether you're on time or not so plan ahead to ensure you don't get stuck in long lines at the base of mountain and end up missing your treat at the top

What a view. Never pass up an opportunity to eat on top of a mountain. And the food is good.

How can you go wrong having lunch at the top of a mountain? I've come here both during ski season and off season. Food is awesome, the drink selection is excellent and you just cannot beat the view. Don't cheat yourself when you visit stop in!
