Mountaineer Country Ice Cream

This has been my kids favorite Ice cream store since we moved up here from AL. Now, 12 years later, my daughter introduced her fiance to it. She goes for the ice cream, he goes for all of the rest. When she took him last weekend, for the first time. She didn't tell him about the tackle and hunting supplies. He walked in and his jaw dropped, and all he could say was Wow, and ice cream too. 😂

Oh the flavors to choose from, and the crafts are gorgeous, a little bit of everything. Great place, great staff! I had the Peanut butter pretzel ice cream, it's all Hershey's brand. Delicious! Sorry it's almost gone that's how good it is!😁

Love this country store, hunting, fishing, crafts and ice cream.. it's nice on a weekend drive when u have time to look around

This place has more fishing stuff then every big box store within 50miles. Bass, trout, musky, crappie. Gotta come see it and nice to support local. Good but expensive ice cream too.

I love this place. The atmosphere is wild and wonderful and it's the place to go for your hunting and fishing needs as well as for some good ice cream!! It's the perfect summer spot and there's lots of seating outside and around the building. There's a wide selection of ice cream flavors and the price was good the last time I went.

Over priced, but worth the price . The ice cream is very good , and milkshakes are awesome, the service is always great, and the store is very clean. They have lots of neat items in the store as well. Definitely worth stopping in and checking out. W

We live just a minute or two down the road and this is our go to location for ice cream!

The ice cream flavor choices are abundant and delicious (even though I always get the same thing) and their servings are huge.

The service is always enjoyable and good, aside from the occasional young college girl who likes Facebook more than their paychecks… but the rest of the employees more than make up for those occasional little girls!

Everyone is so nice and generous, and the ice cream is great. Overall, 6/5 stars, would recommend to anyone.

Some of the best ice cream in Monongahela county and a few other county's may I say choose a cup of cone choose your ice cream get to eating delicious

Customer service was amazing. There's a billion ice cream flavors there too. Before you get your ice-cream its worth looking around too, theres some really interesting things. My only complaint is it is definitely a little pricey for their ice-cream and the pricing is unclear, but it was such a great experience otherwise.

Recently found this place and instantly loved it!Great place to get ice cream! A little pricey but well worth it! You get large portions of quality ice cream! They even have an abundance of rocking chairs on thier covered front porch area to set back and enjoy it. You can even purchase rocking chairs, gliders ect! Las but not least the have a HUGE selection of hunting and fishing accessories (more fishing than hunting) And they even sell live minnows in 3 different sizes! My go to place for ALL my fishing accessories!

I'm not usually in this area but noticed the ice cream sign as I was passing the store and decided to turn around and stop. I will be stopping each time I'm in the area going forward. They offer 72 flavors of Hershey's scoop ice cream. During the summer, they offer over 90 flavors of soft-serve in addition to the Hershey's as well as other options. The gift shop is great, and I'll allow more time on my next visit to look around.

There's nothing better than taking my kids here on a summer evening. The selection of ice cream is huge and everyone gets what they want (a big deal for my family). Sitting on their porch eating ice cream while laughing and talking with my kids is one of my best memories!

My first high school job was in an ice cream parlor and I got to know the business there, especially the ice cream. The selection and the quality here are superb. The ice cream, the atmosphere and the people are very nice..

Mountaineer Country Ice Cream has so many different ice cream options! For both hard and soft ice cream! I always get the Brown Sugar Butter Bourbon. It's addicting. The store itself has a lot of items to look at, a little bit of everything. They also have lots of rocking chairs on their porch that are perfect for sitting out and having an ice cream date or bringing the family.

Owners are very welcoming! Ice cream selection is out of this world. Lots of parking and a sportsman's dream, although it involves a bit of hunt to delve into the massive array of inventory...But you ARE hunters and fishermen, right!?! Also quite a variety of home, cabin and mancave accessories. It's a pleasant experience!

Nice store. Very relaxed and friendly people. This store is loaded with all kinds of interesting items. I thought it was just firearms and ice cream. They have an abundance of novelty and gift items as well. The food was good. We had barbecue sandwiches and french fries. Give them a try.

I've literally been telling everyone I know about this place! They have the most flavors of hard scoop ice cream I've seen outside of a specialty ice cream parlor (and even more than some of those!). The ice cream is AMAZING, and they have a huge porch full of gliders and rocking chairs where you can sit and chat with friends. I can't wait to come back!

Wonderful place to search for your best fishing and outdoor clothing. Henry can help with fishing spots and suggest the best lures. You can tell they really focus on customer service. Ice cream is pretty good as well.

Great ice cream pricey but good and best variety of cones, hot dogs, candy, neg full size Trump as you walk in behind counter and same as you exit at the door. Meh!
