Spotted Horse Tavern

Everything was ON POINT.
Food was hot that should be hot and cold food was freeing cold as it should be.
Only downfall, eating outside on a blustery cold night- just make sure to wear appropriate shoes! My toes were frozen! Then again I expected heaters in the outdoor dining room as most other places have. Otherwise it was nice, not too loud for a Saturday- and I was told it was a 45/60 min wait- and as we were deciding what to do within 10 minutes the hostess had a table large enough for 4 and we were a party of 3. (My son had a broken foot and they allowed for a 4 person table to accommodate him having to have it up)

Wow and Yummy sum up our lunch and experience. Great service and the food was awesome. We live about an hour away and we will be back because it’s worth the trip! It’s also a lovely town!!

My go-to for pre-theater meetups, family dinners, or just a casual lunch. I’m never disappointed and am branching out by trying different menu items each time I go. Buddha bowls are always good. Mussels are fresh.

This was the best meal I ever had at a restaurant! Ditto for my husband also. The place was a bit noisy around the 5:30-6:30 dinner time, then calmed down after that. This was also the first time I had a hot fresh cup of coffee in a restaurant. It appears this is a popular place for friends and families to go. I am telling my family and friends the food is magnificent.

Loved stopping by the Spotted Horse Tavern while shopping in town for the day. We shared Brussel sprouts, meatball egg rolls, & fried calamari.

The patio was lovely, staff was friendly, professional, & attentive. The wine list was wonderful. We had a rose and a pinot Grigio.

We would definitely return for lunch and sometime would love to try dinner. Their menu options were vast and looked delicious. Everyone in the restaurant young & mature were raving!

We have visited this restaurant twice now. The food and drinks have been great both times. We have sat in the indoor and the patio areas. The only drawback to the indoor area was the noise level. We were there when it's was packed, and it was hard to hear anyone who is not sitting right next to you. BTW, my hearing is very good in general, so it's not that.

Tasty food, great presentation, warm ambiance and attentive customer service at the spotted horse tavern. Freon the amazing simple yet warm and inviting decor to the well prepared, flavor rich dishes, you will never be disappointed.
Try the pretzels, Reuben and the tuna tacos. Solid 5 stars, wer will be coming back.

This is a good place for a casual
Meal while out in Westport. The burgers are great and the service is always fast and good. I like the Shelton location better Both are very nice.

Oh beautiful shore line of ct... The lovely sites of shoreline and historic homes. The spotted horse is one of those old homes from the 1800s turned into a restaurant. As you know as much as I love today trends... I love history. So fine an 1800s home turned into a restaurant is my thing. Friendly staff. Covid precautions and procedures in place as well. I sat outside on the covered porch.. Online menu. Unless you couldn't get it to work. They provided a physical one. I ended up with a seltzer water, corn and chicken tacos. About 4 choices for sides I chose sweet potato fries. Every thing was great. The table next to me was great group of people and it was great afternoon with now new friends... Just gotta love places where staff and others are friendly and friendships are made.

The best veggie burger I have ever had. Drinks were great too. Nice waiter.

Sat at the bar the bartender was very nice. The Barn Burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Will stop by again if in town

In town from outside of Philly where the restaurant scene is top tier. This place is well over a 4.3!! The appetizers were fantastic (mussels, meatball spring rolls, Cesar salad, burrata salad). We had the halibut special and it was amazing! Great atmosphere and great service as well. Highly recommend

Great restaurant, delicious food. Shrimp spaghetti was sooo good. Also steak and fries.

Apple Tart with ice cream always brings me back to Spotted Horse. The lively atmosphere, the music and a delicious menu makes this place super awesome. I highly recommend it.

The food, selection, atmosphere, & service were all excellent. We stopped on a whim while driving from NY to MA and are glad we did. Everyone in our party of 4 was pleased with their meal.

Great local lively spot. Reasonably priced good menu and friendly staff. Wish they took reservations it would help them keep up with demand.
