Don't let this place pass you by!!! Easy to drive by..... stop in and enjoy!!! All food was absolutely fantastic...... but Clam chowder alone was worth the stop. Seat yourself and orders come right out in perfect timing. Stop in DON'T DRIVE BY!

Tried the special of the day chicken sandwich and side and a large coffee. Huge servings, malt vinegar at the tables, incredibly friendly staff and the coffee is SOOOO good!

I see a lot of outgoing food orders for delivery, which is an EXCELLENT sign (means that locals love it!) I've had breakfast here as well and always loved what I order. Only problem is that the servings are so plentiful that I can't finish it all and have to bring half home. Wait, is that actually a problem??? Nope! I get the bonus of another fantastic meal later!

Seating is a bit sturdy (bench seating, wood chairs), but the place was designed to be quick service.

Absolutely delicious! This unassuming restaurant is a hidden gem. The staff were very friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious! This is a great lunch stop if you're in the downtown area.

I had the fish and chips and it was the best I've eaten in a long time,this fish was cooked to perfection, absolutely delicious and the fries where great, very flavorful.

Wow! What a gem!! Stopped by here yesterday on a whim. BEST fried clam strip roll ever. Their tartar sauce was out of this world and the clams were fresh as can be, beautifully fried. All three of us loved it. The staff was so attentive and could not do enough for us. I encourage everyone to give it a try. We will be going back. The aroma and taste of that sandwich reminded me of being at the beach in the summer. I just can't say enough.

Just had lunch here for the first time. Enough choices on the menu along with specials it made deciding what to order a struggle.

I ended up with a fried chicken sandwich with a side of onion rings. The chicken was amazing. Crispy yet very moist. Cooked perfectly. The rings were tasty too.

Pleasant staff took the order at the counter and delivered lunch to my table quickly. Fresh ingredients at a reasonable price.

I'll probably try the steak and cheese hogie next time as it seems popular!

Best salads in the area. The Cobb is my personal favorite. Friendly and expedient service. We've never been disappointed with the food and are always greeted with a smile. If you're in the area, stop by and give them a try!

Try the fried chicken it's awesome, I got Mac and cheese plus curly fries with it. All delicious. I hear good things about the biscuits and gravy too so I'm going to have to go in the morning some time.

I’m very happy we have a new quality restaurant in town that serves great “fast” food. The Asian chicken wrap with plant based chicken option was fantastic! The clam roll was also great. They have lobster rolls in season too! Perfect for take out and door dash.

First time at the River Eatery. I ordered the clam strips platter with a side order of 6 jumbo shrimp. It came with a side of coleslaw and steak fries. There was something missing with the coleslaw flavor wise. But the fries were cooked to perfection, a little crunch outside and soft tater on the inside. The platter also came with 3 fresh lemon wedges and a couple leafs of lettuce. The clam strips were also cooked very well. Fried seafood can tend to be chewy/stringy. These were anything but. The side order of jumbo shrimp was just that. They were deep fried and delicious. Usually jumbo shrimp means bigger than tiny. Not at River Eatery. These 6 shrimp were HUGE. They were cooked to perfection with the right amount of crispyness combined with natural juicyness. Topped with fresh lemon juice and their amazing tartar sauce, these were by far the best shrimp I've had in years. I highly recommend this new, up and coming restaurant.

My wife and I shared a salad. Reasonable amount placed in the container. Really good quality lettuce too. One of the freshest salads we had in a long time. We plan on trying the whole menu out soon. The smells in there are so inviting. Will definitely be eating there again. Well worth the prices. 😀

Got the calamari and lobster roll. Both were prepared quickly and tasted amazing!! Not to mention the coffee selection was great. So happy to have a quality restaurants back in Winsted, will be going back again :)

I ordered lunch for everyone at work, we did Take Out. All of us were very happy with what we each ordered. The special instructions were met. Delicious, fresh and ready on time! Will definitely order here again.

First time here and truly loved LOVED the food. My husband had the cod plate which was very well cooked and seasoned. I had the chicken primavera wrap… soo good. Very clean and pleasant staff… Definitely going back!! 😊

Very good food. Prices are not that bad. They have a couple of flavors of coffee I haven't seen before. Worth a stop.

I went in for the first time. Ordered a steak and cheese with peppers and onions. Awesomeness!! Real steak and there were actually nice chunks of pepper and onions unlike places that use steakum presesed meat and onions and peppers that you need a magnifying glass to see. Keep up the great work!! It's great to see some quality food prepared in Winsted. Maybe you could turn up the heat on the pizza resources in town? Just an idea.....

I had the chicken soulvaki. The tzaziki sauce was authentic and so delicious! I like it best when my dad Joe and Moe are in the kitchen. Wish you all the best in the new year!

Great store to shop at. There Deli counter make the best grinders. SUBWAY EAT YOUR HEART. AND THERE CHEAPER AND BIGGER.

Smoked sausage burrito is delicious, they use kielbasa instead of ground sausage and its so much better. Great coffee, too!
