Bristol Fire Department

I just had a C/O detector go off in the upstairs of my house. The fire fighters that showed up were very courteous and helpful. They determined it was just back up batteries that were getting low, and cleared the whole house just to be sure. They also gave me helpful advice to replace a couple of my existing smoke alarms with combo smoke/CO detectors for added safety. Gives me great peace of mind that we have a solid and professional fire department here in Bristol that responds very quickly. Thanks guys!

You all have no idea the impact that you made on my children by participating in a Birthday Parade when you did not have another emergency to attend to! My five year old idolizes you all and wants to be a fire fighter when he "grows up" and it literally brightened his smile during a time with so much uncertainty due to COVID-19. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am as a mother.

There are some very nice people that work here, yet despite being diagnosed with AFib a week before and bring in the midst of an episode. The EMS deemed my call for transportation to hospital unnecessary and did not use diagnostic equipment on me before my arrival.

Years ago, back in the early 1970s, the wife of the Fire Chief was found at the bottom of the stairs in the family home on West Morningside Drive. Rumor was that he was seeing a woman who lived just down the street on the corner of Short Street and Morningside Drive. I believe her name was Mrs. Stone. My late sister, Barbara and a friend, Andrew Cliché, told me all about it at the time. I will never trust this fire department because of it.
