Facility where my mother was previously is closing unfortunately, St. Johnsbury facility offered her a bed. This has been a tough period for her as we just lost my dad, her husband in December and now having to relocate. So thankful for the really amazing staff and more updated facility at St. Johnsbury rehab.

I am thankful that Genesis will once again in the facility. Hopefully more opportunities offered to the residents.

Where do I start? No communication from anyone when it came to following up on my dad going to the hospital and back. We had him transported to another nursing home closer to family and no one called my family or that nursing home to say he was en route! My dad has a DNR in place but we fought about that too because even though my mom signed the paperwork, it couldn’t be found! Can’t get through on the phone either. Either rings with no answer or out on hold with no answer! Could say more but I won’t.

You let my father die alone in your facility, without us, because you couldn't communicate clearly and concisely. "He's dying" isn't hard to say, better than "He's declining" and when asked what that meant, told "He's on a liquid diet from being sick with the flu". I don't even understand why he wasn't transfered to the nearest hospital if it was that severe. You've robbed us, and him, of saying goodbye and I will NEVER forgive your facility, or UVMMC for it. If anyone values their loved ones, do NOT have them transfered here and do NOT let UVMMC strongarm you into doing so either.

How DARE you call my mother up and speak to her in the tone you did saying it was HER fault in hindsight not playing enough 20 questions with your staff to suss out her husband's condition, or that he was put in your facility to inevitably die anyways and we should've known that. I'm GLAD my brother and I were there with her during your little phone etiquette blunder. You disgust me and my family.

This place is a dump! My grandmother has been there for a few months and her health is deteriorating fast. She was supposed to be there temporarily for PT but two months later and she can't even walk anymore and now has bed sores. She does not get showered when she is supposed to, was supposed to sit up her her chair every meal (which she did not) and when she asked for help to the bathroom the staff tell her "we just brought you. We will check you again in 2 hours". OMG are you serious! ?? The LNA actually looked at me the other day and said she couldn't check her bc it was above her pay and the nurse had to do it. I was an LNA for many years sweetie that is your job. Residents throwing things in the hall, calling 911 to get some attention. How is this place even still open? I wouldn't even have given one star but couldn't write a review without atleast one. If my grandmother dies bc of neglect and laziness among staff you're gonna hope you're shut down.

No communication from staffing, only excuses of being short staffed, huge risk of patient falls due to lack of attention to simple nursing tasks

I currently have a random resident calling me repeatedly at all hours of the day. I've tried calling back multiple times asking for them to try and find out who's been calling me. But like the other review mention how the staff couldn't care less, I was told just to block the number.... If only there were phone logs these modern day phones could access to figure it out.

Bad place to take a family member my mom was there she layed in her own sh. and pi all day no one cared she lasted 2 weeks and when she pass away she drowned in her fluid know one gave her any help she had things came missing and wasn't returned Bad Bad place

Gross neglect including extreme lack of dietary needs to just survive
