We bought a beautiful blue Subaru Forester Limited today from St J Subaru! Our first Subaru!

We first visited the dealership on May 6th and got a great intro to the brand from Cole who was patient (not pushy!) with us. Once he heard what we were looking for he found the perfect car that was due to arrive later in the month and helped us to reserve it so we could buy it today.

Cole was extremely helpful through the whole process. We never once felt pressured or hurried to make a decision, and he answered every text and email the same day.

Once we got to finance, Josh helped us fix the credit application that we screwed up and even called the bank and advocated on our behalf, lowering our interest rate by almost three points! When we found out he was a fellow veteran everything just clicked.

Super happy with our experience at St J Subaru. I think we figured out this was our second best car buying experience ever in 24 cars. The first best was when my son sold me a car ;-)

We brought our Subaru ascent in for a transmission recall, Jesse took care of us he was great to deal with! Upon the technicians multi point inspection they found multiple issues adding up to the thousands of dollars for repairs. Jesse took the time to find that our car had a 60k mile power train warranty we did not even know about and we had 59,860 miles so everything was covered! They gave us a loaner car made sure we were comfortable in it for the time repairs took. All around excellent experience and we will absolutely be return customers!

I highly recommend Saint J Subaru. They’re great to work with - I’ve purchased three cars from salesman, Matt Robinson. I live 15 minutes from a local Subaru dealership but choose to drive over an hour to Saint J, definitely worth the drive! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a wonderful car buying experience 2 months ago at St. J’s with Jerry and Justin. I purchased a manual transmission 2019 Impreza with 70K miles in September 2023, and always felt like they were being straight forward and honest with me. I paid for an extended warranty, and ended back up at the dealer today with brake pads and rotors that needed replacing. My warranty didn’t cover these things, but when I pointed out I’d only had the car 2 months, Heather, who is also wonderful, went to talk to the service manager, and then let me know they’d cover the cost because “We’ll keep our promise to you.” I will be a repeat customer after this and recommend them to anyone looking for a new Subaru in Vermont.

I worked with Jerry Schartner and I recently found my dream car at St. J Subaru and found this dealership to have the most integrity in Vermont. I did my research and went to dealerships to compare my options; other dealerships lowballed my trade in by 3K to try to make a huge profit. My experience working with Jerry Schartner at St. J was exceptional: I received an honest and fair appraisal, he knew the incoming inventory off the top of his head and the negotiation process was straightforward with no hidden costs or surprises. Jerry stood out because he has an authentic and down to earth personality and I could tell he really cared about customer satisfaction and making sure I had options with the features and upgrades that mattered to me. At the formal signing of my lease, I had a great chat with the finance manager who is a family oriented Veteran that demonstrated it is possible to run a dealership with a fair and honest business model. He also helped me bundle in some options for a phenomenal tire & rim road hazard warranty and undercoating that will save me quite a bit of money over the next three years, plus great peace of mind! I would recommend anyone in the market for a Subaru wait to sign a contract at another dealership before offering Saint J a chance to beat that deal. Before driving up to Saint Johnsbury, I had a very stressful experience trying to negotiate with Twin City Subaru in Berlin where the sales rep and general manager were exceedingly dishonest and aggressive. When I looked back at my Fitbit data from other dealership experiences vs. Saint J Subaru, even my heart rate agreed my stress level was dramatically lower working with Jerry. I feel great about my car and confident that I got a fair price. All of the sales reps were respectful; my personal favorite was Jerry Schartner. Upon picking up my new Impreza Premium Hatchback, Jerry was very knowledgeable about all of the new computer safety features, cruise control, navigation system and device pairing. He followed up on the phone after my purchase to make sure that I was satisfied with my new car: I absolutely love it! I am really glad that I chose St. J Subaru in St. Johnsbury. 5 stars ⭐!

Had a great experience at SJS I worked with ROSE WOOD who was a dream to do business with! The reason for 4 stars was that after leaving the dealership with my new to me used car we were heading home my tire sensor failure light came on!
12-8 a week and one day I had to wait to bring it in to be serviced and I had TWO failed tire sensors that had to be replaced HEATHER in the service department was a dream to deal with as well. Now I'm all fixed and can give

First time Subaru owner and first time getting my Crosstrek serviced. Luckily this St J location is the closet Subaru service center to my house and I feel very lucky. The customer service is excellent, waiting room is comfortable, and the servicing itself is very efficient - I was told 1.5 hours, turned out to be less than an hour and they even cleaned my car. Highly recommend this location for all your Subaru needs!

What a great experience! Rolled into STJ Subaru only to look as my car was totaled by a tree. Had the pleasure of working with Matt Robinson, he truly worked magic and got me into a car within a couple hours that was a perfect match for my kiddos and I. I drive over an hour to have my car serviced at St.J Subaru. They take videos of what they want to replace. They are honest about what needs to be replaced now and what can wait for later. They don’t overcharge and their customer service is excellent. They have an open naturally lit waiting area and provide snacks. I have never been so relaxed getting my car serviced.

Great place to buy a car. We showed up late at 3 when they closed at 4 from driving over 200 miles that day looking at cars. People were more them happy to stay late and help us find our new car. We left with our new car around 6pm.

Where do i begin?! From the moment i walked in i felt so comfortable. My sister and i sat with Nick in the show room and talked about why i wanted to look at trading my Jeep. This was the hardest thing for me to do because this was my dream truck. But with in the first 20 minutes, he had me in a beautiful Subaru Forester. I had a VIP Program Voucher, and I’ve worked with dealerships for years and know that typically anytime they’re forced to honor below invoice pricing, the salesman and finance managers can get pretty rude because they know it’s not going to be a great deal for them. that stigma was blown out of my mind when I came to St. J Subaru. at first I went back and forth with Kevin on the phone, and was able to secure an incoming car, put Down a deposit, AND get all my trade info entered. then I talked with Matt, my salesman, who was fantastic with getting all the credit app stuff done before I got there (I was driving almost 2 hours to see them) when I got to the dealer, it was fleet fast and we were in finance with Josh. He was awesome, we connected on our kids and what they can do to your car, and he was able to work in some additional warranty for us to protect our lease. With having worked in the dealerships for years, my expectations were very low but these guys did a fant job! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

This place was terrific! I work in sales and they gave me the experience you should expect when purchasing a car. I worked with Kyle, he was very helpful, knowledgeable and not pushy. Answered all my questions and helped me get into what fit my needs best, for a fair price with the craziness of the market. The General Manager even came out to thank me for my business. Not something that happens often. I would always recommend this place and make sure you ask for Kyle if you need anything!
