The grounds are beautiful & serene; dogs run off-leash & you can sense their pure enjoyment. The chapel is designed with dog themes, including the weathervane & its a perfect place to see & feel the memorialized tributes of all the beloved furry friends that impacted their families. Although this place brought me to tears, it is a peaceful & soothing setting to sit & reflect.

Also, check out the gift shop with a touch of whimsy featuring artwork, crafts, clothing, etc from local artists, you'll definitely find something - even for cat lovers too. Check out the bathroom even if you don't need to use it!

This spot was so beautiful and peaceful! I visited the gallery and the chapel, as well as walked around the grounds a little. They had trails to hike on that were very well groomed and a nice little pond with benches nearby. The chapel was breathtaking and a bit emotional, the walls are covered in photos and notes to passed pups from visitors. It was very quiet and peaceful while I read some notes, just a really wonderful experience! I want to go back and bring my pup, they would love it!

This place is a GEM in Vermont! My Aunt recommended it and she was so right! Not only is the art and chapel a sight to behold but the nice trail walk is splendid too. We loved seeing all of the love for long lost fur kids. It brought tears to all of our eyes, not for the sadness but the beauty and love. We then walked the trails and as an amateur photographer I could have gone crazy with the views! This is a place to get family pictures, senior or pictures and a wedding would be fabulous at this spot! They have a dog pond to have the dogs swim and play ball too! The trail was easy for the kiddos and full of beautiful views with so many wild flowers. All through the trail was sculptures that truly added to the walk. We were there for about 3 hours and it wasn’t enough to just soak it all in, but we were on a time restriction. We made a donation to enjoy the grounds, based off their suggestions and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend to packing a lunch to have a beautiful picnic at this spot!

This place is great! There is ample grounds for the dogs to roam and play. There are beautiful mountain views as far as the eye can see. One of the best things about Dog Mountain is the Chapel. It is a place to honor and remember man's (or woman's) best friend. The Chapel has thousands of pictures, notes, and cards honoring pets of all breeds. It is a really cool place that is worth checking out if you come to Vermont!

Absolutely an amazing experience for both humans and pets! It has trails u can walk, but I always go for the freedom of allowing your dog to Rome free. No fence or designated places for pets only! The best part is all the happy puppies 🥰

A friend recommended stopping here while we were in the area. Very cool spot. It was raining, so we did not explore the trails, but the Dog Chapel was beautiful and moving. The art gallery was interesting to wander through as well. I would definitely recommend stopping here and wandering this beautiful farm and art gallery, especially if you love dogs.

My dogs and I love Dog Mountain! We have been numerous times, even though it's over a four hour drive from us! We finally got to go for one of their summer parties and had an absolute blast! They have lots of area for dogs to run and play and swim and a Chapel dedicated to our passed pets that anyone can add to.

Very cool place to bring your dog. There are lots of play areas with a small pond that the dogs can swim in. They have an obstacle course for them to run and also a small enclosed area to let your doggo run if he doesn't get along well with others. The dog chapel is a must-see with lots of tributes to those who have passed over the rainbow bridge. There is no cost for admission but there is a suggested donation of $6. There is also a dog themed gift shop.

My girl and I both love this place so much. The expansive lawn, diverse trails, dog chapel, and dog gallery are all fantastic. If you're a dog parent, you must bring your furry child here! It's free to enter, but if possible, please buy some souvenirs or donate to support this dog paradise.

Went yesterday during a major holiday and a Monday so the chapel wasn’t open. The grounds are open even though Google said Dog Mountain is closed. Just and fyi the grounds are open daily. It’s just the chapel that is closed. My pup had a wonderful time running around off leash. The other pups who were there off leash were calm and didn’t bother with other dogs. It’s not like dog parks where owners don’t seem know their own dog’s behavior. Met another person with the pup. I can’t wait to take the pup in the warmer months to check out Thor activities. This is such a special place. Well worth the long drive. So calming and beautiful to be there with the mountains in the background.

Dog Mountain is a dream come true for us. We came here to celebrate my puppy, Lily’s birthday! The land itself and trails are lovely. Dogs are allowed to roam freely throughout (except in parking areas, and the gift shop). Lily swam in the pond and made lots of friends. It was her happiest day coming here.

The deeply emotional part of our visit was to the chapel to honor dogs who have passed. Its walls are covered with notes and photos from the families of their loved ones.

Lily and I look forward to continuing to support Dog Mountain. We are so thankful for this beautiful place and the memories we made during our first visit here.

What a beautiful place for all dogs to have fun being themselves. My favorite is the dog chapel where people can leave a memorial for their beloved dogs. It's difficult not to shed a tear in writing in the journal, remembering the happy days.

This is more than a location. This is an emotional and uplifting exoerience. I went there with my tiny Izzy to pay tribute to Wolfie, Jimi, Anubis, Bella, and Cooper. The sheer number of loving goodbyes and all the heartfelt anguish expressed was overwhelming. The amount of pure love depicted was palpable. If you've ever loved and been loved by a dog.... Go there. You'll not have an experience like this. And let your dogs play with others on the beautiful property or splash in the pond. Izzy and I travel and live full time on our motorcycle and we are so happy we made this 1000 mile side trip. You'll be glad you went too.

It was such a great experience for our dogs and us. Beautiful property that is all about dogs and their fun and happiness. But, also to remember and honor a passed furbaby at the stunning chapel. You can post a photo or message and see the memories others have left.

Several activities for you and your furry friend(s), or just sit and watch as they romp and play and swim. Several trails for different levels, large meadows to run, quiet corners to enjoy the peace and beauty, and many other doggie friends. We ran out of time but wanted to check out the agility course. We went for a couple of hours at least on two different days. There is still so much we wanted to check out and enjoy. Our dogs could not have had a better time. They could be themselves and do what they wanted. They were exhausted!

Check out the little gift shop before you leave and learn all about the property and its story. We will definitely be back.

Took my border collie here for my birthday. It made me really happy to see him playing with the other dogs. It's beautiful on the mountain in the Spring. There are tulips, green grass, ponds, farm buildings, and hiking trails, lotsa forest surroundings. The chapel is special. Dog owners who's dogs passed away have left personal note messages to their loved one. Pretty amazing little chapel with stained glass and you could spend a good hour in there just reading the messages. I hear they do lotsa events there and concerts too for owners and their pets. One of my favorite places in the area to visit.

If you have ever lost a pet, this is definitley a must. The gallery, the shop are a beautiful nod to this place, but the Church itself is beautiful. The amount of individuals who have traveled here to drop off a picture of their beloved fur babies is uncanny. Truly a beautiful place.

If I could give Dog Mountain 10 stars I would do so in a heartbeat. What a wonderful, joyous, beautiful place, where dogs and their owners can roam freely and run and play to their hearts content on miles of trails, open fields, and a doggie pond. And don't forget to ask about the outdoor concerts, an added bonus if you happen to be there on the right day.

THIS MIGHT BE MY FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD!! I have 2 dogs, and they are my entire world. There are not enough places that take time to not only let dogs be free, but take time to honor and pay them respects. I spent an hour just looking at other dogs photos. When you walk into the chapel, you can feel how much love and care is placed in this room. I laughed, I cried, I mourned, and I loved it. Upon leaving, we stopped in the art gallery, filled with the artists work, that you can purchase and bring home a little memory of your visit. And a trip wouldn't be complete without the staff greeter Maggie, who barks to let them know you are here and barks to say goodbye. Amazing experience all around <3

Wonderful experience, there's isn't to much parking, but it's set up for dog walks and plenty of play stops along the winding trails. Be sure to bring a photo of your padded away best friend as the chapel is full of pay memories. Screne location and a must for anyone visiting st Johnsbury

This is a place specializing in remembering our dogs who have passed too soon. It's a lovely spot with a chapel to post pictures or remembrances of old canine friends or just to meditate or remember.
