Kathy's Glass Menagerie

Kathy's artistry is simply beyond comparison. As repeat clients of hers, over the years Kathy has created gifts for our children - in particular, stained glass frames for their wedding invitations. Kathy met with us in her studio on each occasion to advise on selecting the correct glass colors and styles, along with just the right framing materials, to match our children's tastes. Then she continued to consult with us along the way as she created the perfect piece for each. These are heirloom quality works that our children and their spouses treasure. (She even collaborated with us to repair/recreate one after a doggie misadventure shattered part of a book-like frame she had crafted.) Kathy's incredible talent and passion for her work shone through to make each of our experiences with her a true joy along the way. And she knows we honestly think she charges far too little for her masterpieces. In short, if you want a unique glass piece, whether for yourself or a gift, or have a stained glass treasure in need of repair - Kathy is in a class all her own, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

To say that Kathy is a talented artist would be an understatement. Over the past few months I have been working with Kathy to learn the art of creating my first stained glass project. A challenging piece, 93 pieces. This challenge allowed Kathy to share her knowledge and experience with me while always maintaining her positive perspective. She taught me the art but more importantly to overcome obstacles and to fix the problems. And she did this with kindness and a smile. I am happy to say that I am able to work on my own and I am setting up my own work area in order to continue working with glass. And more importantly I am happy to have met Kathy and call her a friend.
