An amazing venue. Great staff all around. Fantastic sound. They book incredible acts. Such an intimate space. Youll feel like you've found a secret club. Bartenders are kind. Bathrooms are clean. Nice side porch for fresh air. A beautiful space in the Drake neighborhood.

Best music venue in the Des Moines metro area. Great performers touring the country come to xBk. Sit eight feet from the stage, meet and maybe share a table with band members. Great sound and lighting attract local music, so xBk is worth following to enjoy music with your friends and meet more.

xBk is our favorite music venue in Des Moines now. We love coming to shows here - the sound is great, people who work here are very friendly, and the vibe here is always fantastic. Restrooms are very easy, as is getting drinks from the bar. Bar prices are fair especially for a live music venue. One very nice touch here is they keep a cooler of water out so you can help yourself. Just an all around great place - we don’t hesitate to come for any show here that we are half interested in, just because of the venue.

My favorite local venue for catching a show! It's small enough to not feel overwhelming for someone who doesn't love massive crowds but also big enough to attract some great musicians. My kid is also a part of Girls Rock DSM and they host a lot of the events for the organization so I love that xBk staff is super supportive of the teens as they explore their musical talents.

This is the best music venue in the greater Des Moines area! They have wonderful cocktails and non-alcoholic options! The staff is incredible and the sound is second to none!

Des Moines— what a great venue for live music, we caught Avey Grouws there yesterday. They put on a fantastic show to a full house. Hard work to think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than with family, great friends, and live Blues…

We are a nonprofit who serves Black women DV survivors and their co-surviving children. We have an annual event, Empowerment Arts Showcase, where survivors share their art - music, drawing/paintings/mixed media/etc., poetry, dance, spoken word, and any other art - and how that culturally-infused art has empowered them, rescued them, inspired them, strengthened them, sustained them. Then we explain our flagship program, Empowerment through the Arts, and invite survivors to sign up because now they know what it can do for THEM.

The staff was kind, great problem-solving, fun, and professional with myself, my team, the artists, the vendors (food, photographers videographer) and the guests who attended. Our program is impactful and lovely - but being with them in their space with the gorgeous lights and sound?! That took it over the TOP!! We will DEFinitely work with them again. Went to go see black flag with some of the boys amazing show and great venue cool lights and loud speakers if there’s ever a artist you’d like to see and there here I would absolutely recommend going to see them had a very good time here

3-27-2023....Saw a tribute to Arthetha Franklin...her birthday celebration..birthdate March 25. I was blown away by everything about the night ..The performance was on point. Both ladies were stunning. I don't remember bands name but I will post later with more details.

A wonderful addition to the DSM music scene! We enjoyed the intimate venue that allowed us to be very close to the musicians. The cocktails we had were great; we look forward to future concerts!

Fantastic new venue in Des Moines. Cool setup. Great sound. Wonderful service. Amazing owners. Love the little record section/selection they have courtesy of Vinyl Cup Records. Drinks were reasonably priced. And the show (Lvvmaking w/ Goatfoam) was top notch to boot. Can’t wait to become a regular here!

Went to a show last night and the place was really nice! Drinks were good, place was clean, and parking was convenient and easy to find!

One of the best places in Des Moines for live music and the acoustics are awesome!

Went and saw Elise Trouw and was pleasantly suprised with how much they've done with such little space.

Atmospheric balcony, great stage view(s) and some pretty great sound. I also like the area it's in, it feels very 'fitting for the occasion'.

Went for Andy frasco and the un. Drinks were stellar. service was great, clean and one of the best venues I've been too. Don't shy from this place.

Fantastic place to see a show, very impressed! Great layout, easy to get a drink, clean bathrooms, and not a bad spot to view the stage. Can't wait to come back!

Great intimate venue, reasonable ticket prices; they even have a little bar in there. I've seen a couple of excellent shows in there for $12.

Wish there was non-bar stool seating on the main level, but it was nice! Somewhat gave modern Mews(RIP) vibes!
