Shelter Cove Park

Such a serene place to watch the sunrise or sunset! I love taking photos of the clouds the sky the water..just the scenery in general. I will eventually get a good camera. Great place to walk and explore. It is a safe place. I have seen patrol come through. The soccer fields and the playground are great for kids. I go here frequently for the views and for some peace and just to clear my head.

Cozy & quiet beach on the bay away from the crazy ocean beach season. Went on a Friday afternoon and it was $7 per person. Age 62 and older can buy a lifetime beach pass for Shelter Cove and Ortley beach for $15.
There were 2 volleyball nets set up, a parking lot, and convenient bathroom on site which I didn't use so I cannot describe it. There is not a concession stand on site so you will need to bring snacks and drinks, unless you drive out to the highway for lunch and go back.
Mostly women with small children, but very well behaved. The swim area is roped off and there is a lifeguard on duty until 5.
It's definitely a great place to relax by the water without the craziness of the ocean beach crowds and traffic.

Absolutely loved it kids had a blast didnt have to stress the kids getting pulled out by the water .. Was a beautiful day an very relaxing ,clean an everyone was friendly. Definitely going back ....

Great park before the beach and beautiful view down on beach. Fields are huge and plenty of parking...very nice area for many different occasions. Kids had a great time next time will bring spotty boy with us

Perfect place to relax and read a book or get a sandy workout in! On warm days it can be quite busy and although it is a small area everyone always stays distanced! Adjacent to the bay is a basketball court, volleyball net, soccer field, bathrooms, and a few picnic tables. There's a nice spot for everyone here!

We enjoyed the beach here today. It's wading water and if you come with little ones, I highly recommend floaties!! There's a playground in the sand and bathrooms on site as well. Parking was free (the beach was too! But I don't know if this is all year or just the off season). It's a little beach, perfect for families with little ones. Bring toys, blanket, and enjoy!

My dog loves running here and we often meet other four-legged friends

Quiet and a lovely place..out of the beaten path of tourists. Good for quiet time!

7 bucks during the week 8 bucks holidays and weekends, Bayside beach mostly older people and people with young kids I like this beach. My only issue is some days the bitting fly can be a little much. It's not all the time so bring some skin so soft.

This is a great little beach. Has a playground and plenty of beach space to lounge on. There are also volleyball nets set up.

Always love taking the kids here. They have tennis courts along with a beach that you can enjoy all year round

What can I say about a place I have memories with for over 50 years? Watching it grow from a little beach with locals to a place where all can come and enjoy what the shore offers without all the traffic!

Small beach, popular in summertime with locals. Has open soccer fields nearby with a play ground, basketball courts, and tennis courts.

Tim and Pete were very nice and knowledgeable, took their time and explained everything in detail to me. Would definitely recommend
