Portillo's Avon

First time going here and it was really good. Deb took care of our order and was a delight to interact with. I had 2 hot dogs and my wife had the Italian beef. The beef was good, but probably would have been better with the hot peppers too. The onion rings were incredible! Don't miss out on those!

This is where I get my Chicago hotdog fix. Does not disappoint. Make sure it's your cheat day and order it together with chocolate cake shake. Great combination.

The particular location here is nice. There are many tables available to dine in and there is ample parking space.

First time visiting Portillo's, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is nice with a lot of older memorabilia and advertisements throughout. I got the cheeseburger and expected it to be heavy on my gut. It really wasn't. I ate the burger, fries, a strawberry shortcake and didn't feel like I needed to sleep it off till tomorrow. I'm looking forward to bringing the entire family next time.

The food is great. I love the beefs and dogs, my favorite. Atmosphere is fantastic so much history to look at. Can't go wrong with Portillo's

Stopped for lunch and I had a burger with fries. Very good. My friend had two hot dogs. He is originally from Chicago and he said it is a true Chicago dog. Great food.

I had a bacon cheeseburger, small fry, and chocolate cake shake. I was impressed with both pricing and quality. I would compare the burger to that of Red Robin. It was part restuarant tasting yet like a burger you grilled at home. The shake was decedent. As someone who loves sweet, I couldn't finish it. Not a negative, but I would definitely not order a large as it might be too much!

I've been here before but had something different. This time I had the Polish sausage with fried peppers and onions. It was very good, tastes much like the polish sausage at the fair. The staff is lovely at this location, very friendly and good at what they do. The ambiance is great, I prefer it to some places, its a bit dark but its supposed to be. I can take my son here, who doesn't do well with bright lights, and do not have to worry about him getting a migraine, so we can stay longer and enjoy each others company.

I was very skeptical of eating at a hot dog restaurant, but I'm glad someone convinced me to give it a try. From the moment you walk in, you're mentally transported to Chicago. I forgot that we were in the middle of Indiana. The atmosphere is highly enjoyable, lively and fun. The staff gets their job done with efficiency and accuracy and there are lots of delicious things on the menu. Go in and grab whatever looks good, I doubt you'll be disappointed. I will definitely be coming back for more.

Soooo sorry for the lack of pictures. I was hungry and once I took a bite of what I had ordered it was over with lol. So hopefully the review will do. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger which not only looked like the menu item but tasted like it looks as well. Onion rings big and crispy, tenders big and juicy and the chocolate cake shake as yummy as it sounds. I wish we had this in Texas because it definitely is better than a lot of the large burger chains. YUMMMMMMMYYYYYY.😋

Excellent! Being a former resident of Chicago, I have missed Portillos. This location does not disappoint. Clean...people are friendly and the food is yummy! You will get messy when eatting. Lol. Love you Portillos!

The garden dogs are great they taste just like a real hot dog 🌭 staff is always friendly and the food is always hot and delicious 😋

Fun atmosphere, great food, friendly staff. Onion rings are so good! Crunchy batter, not greasy, and great flavor. Plenty of staff.

Food was pretty good as expected. You can't drive past a Portillo's and not eat if you're hungry.

I got the Italian beef with hot peppers cheddar fries and a cold root beer!!! So satisfying 😁 I meant to take pics buutttt I ate it too fast LoL next time.

A great taste of home! The food is always good and is just like I remember it. The spicy chicken is legit! They're not as fast as they are back in Chicago is the only thing I can say is different. My go to is the chilly dogs and fries with cheese sauce.

I wish I know the lady that prepared my food, because she was so considerate and took extra steps to make sure there was no dairy in my food. Amazing service from her, and the salad was actually really yummy.

I love this restaurant omg this is my favorite place to eat I love the Italian beefs here and the service is so wonderful plus I enjoy all the stuff on the walls I will post pics of food next time I go

Looks and feels very much like their Flagship Chicago location. This is a new location. The staff is well trained, polite and friendly. Plenty of parking. The place is packed at lunch time. Food is amazing as expected. Prices are reasonable as expected.
