MCL Restaurant & Bakery Arlington

We have eaten here for many years, recently, we have noticed a good change in the food quality (for the last three years,it's not been great). The turkey & stuffing (even last fall) had way too much sage & we got way too small portions.Same day last fall, the Roast beef Manhattan I had to BEG to get a decent portion (server was a jerk),, recently gave you guys another chance,was totally wonderful! We had another Roast Beef Manhattan, Stuffed Chicken,was fantastic.Another day recently,I bought 2 sloppy joes to go,,was way too bitter, oh well,we love most changes, thank you,Teresa Puckett ps- we live in Shelbyville now,I drive the 34 miles just to get MCL for my family,,the kids meals are always fantastic!!

This place has a special feel of respect to me. It's always so quiet and the atmosphere is perfect for a group setting. I usually pop in and get the fresh food made daily that is sooooo good. If you haven't had that friend chicken get there it is amazing. I also recommend you leave room for a fancy dessert with plenty to choose from. I used a coupon today for free pie so I went with pecan pie wow,wow,wow, it left me speechless. This place is so local and has convenient parking. It's a must stop in if near the east side of town.

One of the most consistent places for comfort food. Great service and dine in. Yummy desserts. A little pricey but worth it.

Absolutely fantastic cafeteria style dinner. All the food was great, there were too many options to choose from. Very friendly staff with minimal to no wait even during the lunch rush hour when everyone and there brother shows up (wich is a pretty good indication of their food). I wish there were more places like this one.

I just moved in to a house very close by and they have been wonderful to me!

The food was good as always and the service was quick. Got through the serving line in good time, despite how busy it looked when I got there. MCL was there when I needed them, as they were one of the few places to eat that had electricity after the storm. Not the cheapest place to eat, but the food is definitely worth it.

I just had the all you can eat fish & it was so good & fresh... the tea was great also

Always love eating at MCL when in Indianapolis and this visit did not disappoint. Very friendly staff and clean condition were great compliments to the "tastes like home" flavors that MCL is known for. Highly recommend! Only have 2 pics to share because most of us ordered similar items. 😊 Yummy!

Fresh and delicious and really good, A young lady name Marissa Was So on top of things and ran the whole darn line today without a single complaint or frown pleasant employees make all the difference in dining places and I absolutely appreciate her and her attitude and attention to detail so sweet and so helpful she really made our experience GREAT 👍👍😁

Fried chicken is delicious. We go on Thursday for the liver and onions with mashed potatoes and gravy. The best. My son even loves the way they make on E 10th.

So much to choose from I bout got full just looking. So I picked the liver and onions, mac cheese, broccoli with cornbread. Haven't had this meal in a while and today timing was everything. Tender, colorful and worth the buck I spent. I shall return soon.

staff was friendly, food was mostly good! my beef stew was a bit salty. Custard was great just the right amount of spices. had our glasses filled often even though my table mate only had water. Love going there. Down home cooking quiet 🤫 even babies seem to know their to behave. Great place to unwind
and not have alcohol.

I always go for the roast beef manhattan! It was delicious! .99 pie of the day, pecan! We took a whole pie home for 6 bucks. Can't beat it! Home cooking, comfort food!

The staff was nice serving up the food, it's a cafeteria style where you can choose what you enjoy eating and the selection is wonderful. I had lima beans, broccoli and stuffed chicken breast. I was alone and felt very comfortable. I Love that they kept it nostalgic as well.

Everyone here is very, very, friendly. The food is always good, and hot. The staff all go out of their way to make sure that you have a good experience. They go the extra mile to ensure you are happy and have a very satisfying experience. If you have to wait on your food they offer a free drink and they make sure that all the rest of your food is hot to boot! The restaurant is always clean and the staff members go to extreme lengths to make sure that they wash their hands and to make sure your food is neat! Like I said you can not go wrong eating here (well picking up food, at this time) they have a nice menu of foods...So very, very, glad they are around.

Great food but the al la carte gets expensive!

Had a group of about 50 senior age people. We were impressed by the helpful courteous staff. The food is always good. Management and staff certainly deserve complements for their service
