Rockfish

TLDR: service: remarkable. Prompt. Offered a wine taste. Graceful with finicky babies.
Food: well-balanced flavors. All options amazing taste and texture.

Zorana was the best server ever! I would give 6/5 stars if I could!
We had our agreeable 14 month old [who decided to be fussy tonight] with us - Zorana was prompt with all the food, had a friendly and graceful demeanor, and was super understanding and accommodating to my daughters needs (extra napkins, straw with the cup, etc)

The food came out quick and was delectable! I had the clam chowder (trying to compare them all around the island 😉) and mussels. The clam chowder was the perfect consistency and not too salty! The mussels were the perfect balance of garlic and wine - the ingredients complemented each other so well.
At the table:
My FIL had the short rib grilled cheese. He said it was *very* good. The fries are shoestring - so the perfect amount of crunch!
The husband had the Poke Bowl. It was very clean, fresh, and again - well balanced ingredients! I tried it and recommend it! The tuna was fresh and again - well balanced (see a theme here?!)
My MIL had an arugula salad and chicken sandwich, which she loved.
Overall, each meals ingredients were very well balanced. You can’t go wrong!

The ambience was festive for the holidays! The seating was incredibly comfortable (we had a booth).

I’m really impressed with Rockfish! And thankful for Zorana’s grace tonight :) cause this mama stresses when her baby is fussy!

Great place for seafood, especially lobster rolls! Atmosphere was nice, although the TVs are a little distracting and annoying. Beer on tap was amazing, very good selection. Risotto was a little heavy but overall experience was really good! Slightly pricy but very big portions
Great small groups and couples

I visited Rockfish today since it was a 15 minute walk from my hotel and was pleasantly surprised about how good it was. I had the calamari as the appetizer which was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection, and the banana peppers was a great added touch. Now for the entree, I had the warm lobster roll and the short rib truffle mac and cheese. The lobster roll was warm, buttery, and overflowing with lobster. The french fries were crispy and airy and really good. The short rib truffle mac and cheese was creamy and had chunks of tender short rib pieces. I would definitely visit again to try even more of the other menu items and do recommend this restaurant.

The chef brilliantly paired a perfectly broiled nice-sized halibut filet with wild and white rice topped with the most amazing Avocado and cilantro dressing. The two complemented each other perfectly. For $38? Halibut cost $30 a pound. Yeah, I'll be back. I forgot, my wife raved about the lobster roll. All claw and knuckle meat.

This is an update. They are back to 5 stars in our book, after some glitches last year that included an order of monster sized tough calamari. Ordered it recently and it was perfect. Lobster dishes really shine, including the lobster tacos. A bit too much cheese on the Caesar for our taste, but otherwise it’s a top notch salad. Some probably prefer it that way. The ambient noise levels can be high. But that actually works for our group.

Came here in a cold and rainy night. Rockfish made up for everything. It has 50% taco night. Did not sound as exciting initially. But oh, the food is sooo good! We had cod taco, Cajun shrimp taco, and lobster taco. All strongly recommended. Everything deserves a 5 star. The house special margaritas are super good too. Even without the 50% off still 5 stars.

While visiting "The Vineyard," after perusing many streets, we decided on Rockfish. The menu just outside the entrance displayed a pretty good assortment of menu items and the interior was a bit more upscale than many of the surrounding establishments.

Once inside, we were greeted and immediately seated. The server was very nice and took our drink choices. After briefly glancing at the menu, I decided upon the jumbo lobster roll.

Our orders arrived in a short time and everything looked wonderful. My lobster roll was overflowing with lobster and a generous portion of fries sat alongside. It was the best lobster roll I've had to date.

There are less expensive surrounding places to eat, but if you want some quality dinner in food, I recommend trying Rockfish.

There was no wait, we were seated upstairs right away. Great town view from the window where we were seated. Our server showed up very shortly after we sat down. She provided us with good and efficient service. We had the Risotto Balls and Burrata for appetizers, they both were delicious. All of our dinner items were well presented and very tasty. Would highly recommend the Rockfish restaurant in Edgartown.

Great service and food! The pan roasted cod was delicate and flavorful with a refreshing salad. The short ribs were tender. I accidentally spilled water on the table and they didn’t hesitate to quickly re-plate the short ribs. I look forward to visiting again!

This was the best dinner we had on Martha's Vineyard! It wasn't even very expensive. I had the pan roasted cod with haricots verts, pine nut & black currant salad, citrus beurre blanc & mashed potatoes. The presentation was gorgeous and the flavor was fantastic. The salad was amazing and the citrus beurre blanc was zesty and light.
My sister had the short ribs, which she liked.

We ran away from a different restauraunt so we could stumble upon a different venue and ended up at Rockfish.

Everything was perfectly cooked, the drinks were well made and it wasn’t too busy!

We ordered a Manhattan and glass of red wine.

The fried Brie with heirloom tomatoes as an app.

Entrees were general Tso’s cauliflower, and the salmon over risotto.

Will be back again and would reccomend to a friend.

Food and service was great. Despite Covid restrictions, we enjoyed a an outside table for two. Steamed clams on homemade linguine was amazing. Scallop and rissoto dish was out of this world!

Staying in Edgartown and wanted something local so found Rockfish “near me” and sat at the bar. The bartender (Remy) made me the best spicy margarita and I followed that with his meal recommendation, which was the codfish meal but I wanted a salad so I swapped out the mashed potatoes with a mixed greens salad w asparagus + topped it with their home made Caesar dressing which was out of this world!!!!! Everything was perfect including my bar mate who ended up buying a few rounds of my favorite Grand Marnier served up neat in a sniffer 😎

Nice selection of local beers. Lobster tacos were very good. Nice atmosphere. Good service.

Rockfish is a year round restaurant in Edgartown that serves up some of the most delicious entrees on island! We love going there for date nights! They have a great cocktail list but also cater if you want a delicious mocktail - mine was a type of passion fruit mojito, so good! Order the pork belly as an appetizer, and the scallops with the BEST risotto are a must. Large portions, great flavors, and fantastic service.

We really enjoyed ourselves here for lunch. We came early and the place was nearly empty. Filled up as we ate. We tried a burger, pizza, salad and buffalo fried cauliflower. We enjoyed all of the things. The cauliflower was really cooked perfectly. I've ordered this dish from many restaurants and I really think this was my favorite. Not overly soaked with sauce just right. The burger with the pork belly was serious. I got the sauce on the side which was a good move for me as I don't love sweet with my food (only dessert). Fries were stringy cooked well and tasty. Pizza had prosciutto and arugula and oil. We are not into using a lot of oil these days at home and this was absolutely delicious. A bit much on the oil but didn't take away the delicious pizza and flavors combining. The salad was very good said my wife.

Short ribs grilled cheese is excellent. Fried fish superb. Excellent beer selection. Top notch espresso martini. Service outstanding.

I ate here on June 27th. The shrimp appetizer was outstanding, the large shrimp were really flavorful. I really enjoyed the Greek salad and the main course of fish over mashed potatoes and cauliflower. I spent over $106.00 here and I was not disappointed.

Soooooo GOOD! Not sure why we waited so long to try this place! It will be our “go to” for sure!!! Pics of. Tuscan Chicken Wing bones because we couldn’t wait to dig in!
