Ole Frijole Mexican Restaurant

We dined at this restaurant while visiting family in the area. Everything we had was fresh and amazing. The facilities are clean and the staff were all engaging. The only negative thing i can say is that I will now not enjoy birria tacos anywhere else! The birria blew me away. The taco shells were thick and appeared fresh made. This will be a mandatory place to go anytime we are in the area!

This is my new favorite go-to place for Mexican food. The quality of their ingredients shines through in how delicious their food is. I absolutely love their salsa. It's got a great depth of flavor in both their mild and hot salsas that I can't get enough of. I'm not a huge guacamole lover but I'm told you Must get some. Prices and serving sizes are very reasonable.

Today is my second visit in one week. We really enjoyed each visit here. It’s relaxing, comfortable, the man and woman who attended us are super nice and friendly, and so attentive. The service is amazing, they know to come refill your drink or salsa. My partner wanted to make sure I write about that bc he drinks a lot and at other places has to wait so long for a refill. I ordered chorihuevos on my first visit and enjoyed that, and today I had the lunch special #8 which has a tamale, rice and beans. I am SO glad I got this. I’ve never had a tamale with a little meat and sauce on top, but I know there are so many ways to make tamales so this was fun to try and super delicious. Their orange juice is the best, just FYI. Eating here feels like I stopped at my friend’s house and her mom cooked a meal for us to enjoy. I really like it here 💙💙💙 Oh my partner ordered a chimichanga with steak and he loved it, he said the dough of the tortilla is so flaky like a puff pastry. He scraped his plate clean!

Very friendly staff. Never seen a guacamole bar before and this one was clean and tasty. You can choose if you want mild, hot, or spicy. They kept your chips and salsa fresh and hot. Very attentive waiter. Restaurant was very clean and open so you don’t feel cramped. Their margaritas are amazing and rather large (jumbo).

Tortillas soup was good a little spicy. My one beef taco was really good. My mom loved the fajitas and the nephew loved the ole frijole burrito! Service was fast and correct. I have never been here before but i will be back!!!

Excellent food and the service to match. Entrees are reasonably priced and you get generous portions, and everything we tried was delicious! Staff was all very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean and well kept. Definitely will dine again.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better guacamole in Louisville. I'm serious. Unbelievable guacamole. The rest of the items that I sampled this evening were above board, but the guacamole was out of this world.

This is my family’s absolute go to! The food no matter what we’ve ordered has been amazing. The service is always great and it will continue to be our favorite spot. (The mild salsa is so good we go through like 3 cups)

Me and my boyfriend have gone to every single Mexican restaurant in the Louisville area. Out of all of them this place has marked every checkmark we give it from the sweet tea to the chips and salsa and the food was absolutely fantastic. I never write reviews. This places is super u debated but I will tell you I will go no where else for Mexican food again. This is my new home. lol.

This is a hidden gem!! Birria tacos, burritos, rice, queso, fried tacos were all amazing!!! Staff was very courteous, proportions were generous, flavor was excellent!! Found a new favorite!!!

My favorite place to go Super Cheap and greatest service ever. I fully recommend this place. Owner is behind kitchen with full family helpers really nice people from 🇲🇽 Mexico. I’m cuban and we love visit Ole’s restaurant at least once a month 🔥🔥👍🏼👍🏼

I had been hesitant to try this restaurant because there had been so many failed restaurants in this building. That was my mistake.
First off when walking in, the restaurant had a different interior and was comforting for some reason. I guess it was just a nice change of pace.
The chips and salsa were really good, but I couldn't help but notice the guacamole bar, so I asked the server about it. He said he could whip me up some fresh guac in the kitchen if I wanted, mild, medium, or hot. I like a good spice so I ordered spicy guac. Let me just say that it was so good and fresh that I made a point to order a to go order to have my friend try it. The spice level was just high enough to enjoy the flavor and have that flavorful kick of jalapeno. I would say it is the BEST guacamole in town.
I also ordered the California burrito. It was huge and flavorful. Between the chips, guacamole, and burrito, it was enough food for two. Really my meal was around $15 if you subtract the to go chips and guac.

Be sure to give this place a try, it is easy to overlook, but worth the visit.

Great food they added a drive thru around back for shut down. Margaritas at the drive thru. Only takes 10 minutes to get food. Lunch everyday till 4. Cheaper than fast food.

Food is always great. This is our new go to Mexican place. Plus they have a drive thru for take out orders. Win win win.
