Ulysses American Gastropub

I had a great time at this establishment, meeting with a few friends. It wasn't crowded on a Sunday around 230, making it more intimate. Bill was a great host..drinks were good, food was good. Will be coming back..

To be honest, we had taken a break from Ulysses after COVID because the service was not great and the food was meh. However, we recently started ordering takeout again and the experience has been far better, even better than before. Just recently ordered the filet mignon and it was stellar. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and the steak and sauce were delicious. Service was also fast and friendly picking up from the bar. Will definitely be giving Ulysses more of our business.

My aunt and I just left there. This isn’t the first time I’ve visited this establishment but today they were exceptional. The mushroom soup was FANTASTIC, just a cozy and hearty bowl of heaven. The crab pizza and drinks were delicious. Our waitress was absolutely lovely but Mark went above and beyond. They both were very attentive, kind, and so generous. Without a doubt, we will be back!!

Absolutely the BEST mushroom soup I have EVER had in my life!! Very nice atmosphere and attractive look inside. The manager, Mark, was extremely attentive and generous. The French dip, burgers and nachos were all delicious. Come to Ulysses and you will be glad you did!!

I wish I could give 10 stars to this restaurant but I guess 5 will do.
First let’s start with Jennifer. Hands down best service ever. She set the bar high for quality service and she delivered.
Whoever was in the back cooking. Put his/her heart in the food. Everything was well seasoned and served to perfection. Damn even the Pepsi was fresh. Definitely would go back. Well worth the money!!!! Don’t skip this visit

Went with my friend last night. Their kitchen wasn’t open which I wasn’t expecting, but since I only had one beer the bartender said it was on the house. Never had that happen before and I was really impressed.

Awesome place to eat and relax. A little pricey, but worth it. Food quality and variety are excellent. Service was a bit odd at times, but cordial.

Outstanding food and company. We stopped here mid-travels and are so glad we did. Don't let the outside appearance fool you, the food here was excellent. We had chicken corn chowder and split a blackened catfish Ruben, which was perfectly cooked and creative. Brussel sprout side *vhefs kiss* Everything was flavorful, the bartender made great draft recommendations and the clientele were so friendly! Thanks for a perfect stop on our way!

This Bistro doesn’t have a Michelin Star, however are the best Bridgestones money can buy. Occasion dining for everyday. Fine dining meets Micro Brew. Spectacular creative, fresh and opulent dishes. Casual, clean, current modern meets old neighborhood friendly pub.
Visiting with others surely will impress and create another fan. Fair priced for quality. Gastro comforts that make each meal a memorable occasion. Worth repeating.

This place has the best fish and chips I have ever had in my life. I love fish and chips and I have had it in England even. The crisp on the beer batter was even and perfect. The tartar sauce was well balanced and the malted vinegar aioli rocked my palate. The fries were crunchy in the right places and salty. My server Carolyn was super attentive to my medical needs and timeline too. She was fast and efficient and super friendly. You absolutely must try the crab nachos, you wouldn't think this combo would work but it did. They balanced the crab and lime and cheese and cheese sauce perfectly. Good guac too!

This is a great location to grab a drink or a meal. They have several delicious menu options with reasonable prices. The menu also includes some kid friendly meal options. We were all a fan of their homemade kettles chips. The restaurant is much bigger than it appears from outside. There is a nicely designed bar area, plenty of booths further back, and a private dining area. With their rotating selection of taps I look forward to coming back and trying some others beers and new food.

I had my daughters baby shower there. The manager & staff were amazing! The manager gave me a 200.00 gift card towards the cost of the event. I was shocked! I highly recommend this place! The food was great, they constantly came in the private room we reserved to see if we needed anything. I will definitely use this place again for parties. Top Notch!!

Went late after a show at Arden gild great service comfortable place with very good bar food, and since everywhere else in the world closes at 9 this place deserves more stars for being the only pace you can get a burger after 10!

Great bar/ restaurant. The staff is great and the bartenders are super. The food is delicious and the menu has a great variety.

Really great food, fantastic service and a very solid gastro pub feel. If you're in the Wilmington area you should definitely check it out.

just had dinner here for the first time with my nephew. everything was amazing! courtney and dan were an absolute pleasure. they really make the night for us! my nephew and I will definitely be back for more!! thanks a bunch and keep up the amazing work.

A perfect Sunday brunch spot. We arrived around 1pm, so they only had the brunch menu available. But that didn't matter, as we both found something delicious to have. We started with the crab and artichoke dip. A generous variety of fresh cut veggies, pita bread and tortilla chips. The dip was fresh and delicious. I had the salmon BLT with a side salad instead of chips or fries. My boyfriend had the breakfast burger with fries. Both were so yummy. We both had leftovers, and some dip/veggies to take home. Our server was easy-going and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing and quiet. Highly recommend a visit. If you prefer a quieter setting, just check Google for the restaurant's peak times.

I grabbed an early dinner from Ulysses at the bar - first time here. I was met with quick service and friendly chatter by the bartender Laura and also a man who possibly seemed like a manager? Before I, or anyone else, was done taking a last sip of a drink, she was there asking if we wanted something else. The place has a great selection of drafts, cocktails, drinks, etc. Lastly, their French dip, cheesesteak egg rolls, and mashed potatoes were to die for. And I had enough for a second meal! I will definitely keep Ulysses in mind if I’m ever in DE and want to grab a meal! Thank you.
