Brandywine Valley SPCA, Delaware - Copeland Center for Animal Welfare

Everything was wonderful. We didn’t have to wait long at all for our kitten. Her name was lunchable but we named her Luna 💕🥹and we adopted another kitten her name was Hayden and I named her Midnight🖤😘

The staff was very friendly, helpful and made the adoption process very easy. The New Castle facility appears to be top notch, and the facility and animals were both clean and obviously cared for. We're so glad that we could add Snoopy to our family and give him a loving forever home!

My old lady, Gracie, had been struggling with food and irritation in one ear and one eye, which all were symptoms of a less terrifying diagnosis than what the internet and a family friend had suggested! I didn't know cats got herpes, the kind that cause cold sores, which was such a relief. The medication and gel for hair balls cost more than Amazon, but I don't know if the herpes medication is available there. The wellness visit was affordable, plus the medication was $140, which isn't bad, especially knowing the vet we took our dogs to years ago charges $900 to spay large breeds! The front desk told us that cats were $70-80 and 40-70lb dogs were $200. At most, they would coat $300. This is good to know since we have a German Shepherd we got as a puppy.
The vet and techs were gentle and compassionate, I was very satisfied with using this place in the future!

Brought my dog Arlo there to get spade. Would 100 percent recommend. Not only was the price hard to beat, the service was fantastic. The woman who helped me showed her care for my dog and was nice and kind and topped the experience I had. Had extra services done and also did a wonderful job with that too.

I love this place! The lobby is expansive and beautifully decorated. The facilities are clean and the dogs are well cared for. Mac was amazing and helped me find the perfect dog. Everyone there is so nice and helpful and they all knew so much about the dogs. The dog meet system is incredible and their behaviorist was awesome. Will definitely adopt here again. Thank you so much BVSPCA!

oh my goodness! Honestly, I went in without really any expectations or the intent to leave with an animal. I was greeted by several workers and they were all so helpful. In the end, I left with Phoebe. MY LITERAL SWEET HEARTED BABY GIRL. So precious she is, honestly a perfect match! I love how they gave me her records, a “tips + help phone line” PACKET - incase I run into any issues. Really helpful how Brandywine Valley SPCA set me off for success with Phoebe.

All of the cats seemed very happy and the whole building was very clean! The staff was super friendly and you can tell that everyone there really cares about the wellbeing of all the animals. We love our two new kitties!

We adopted a female. Cat yesterday Name blueit She is a rescue amazing little girl. we are so forever. Happy to have her.

Ended up with the perfect little kitten thanks to the ladies up front who suggested him! We went to check out a couple cats we saw online, none checked all the boxes (age, size, playfulness, etc) until she mentioned Salsa. We instantly fell in love with him and knew he had to come home with us 🥰 he’s the perfect addiction to our family and we wouldn’t have met him without their help! Thank you to everyone who helped us find our perfect match and making the adoption process easy, we couldn’t have done it without you guys!

My experience was great. A young lady by the name of Mack assisted us with finding the prefect cat to fit our family. She took the time to explain their personalities and details of the younger and older cats. She helped us decide if we wanted a kitten who requires extra attention or an older cat who can manage on their own. When we are not homes She then showed us which she called the best cat “Colby Jack” . Which she was right he is the best. Aside from Mack all the staff we can in contact with was very nice and pleasant. The process was easy and simple. Thanks to everyone and most importantly a big thanks to Mack.

Lindsey, the manager in the Wellness Clinic, took such good care of me and a trapped stray that needed some extra medical attention that I wanted to give her a shout-out here. She is professional and kind, has an abundance of compassion, and most of all, she is a great listener. I cannot say enough good things about her, her management skills, and the Wellness side of the facility. All of the staff, techs, and doctors there have always treated me and my kitties exceptionally well. Sadly , my experience with the shelter side was not nearly as honest or compassionate.

The facility was clean and the staff were nice. Everyone there seems to have all the animals best intentions in mind. The process was easy, yet thorough. I adopted Ace, and he is a very sweet cat and is settling in quickly. I am very thankful for BVSPCA’s care that goes into all the animals.

The ladies at the front desk at the New castle location were so friendly, nice and full of knowledge. I learned a lot from them not only about the procedure and what to expect, but about my dogs, which was cool and helpful. They had a lot of helpful tips as well. It was such an easy experience.

First time there with my babe, and we found a Baby kitten that we love...We adopted a girl kitten.. Her name is Sheba G..

Had my dog, Stan, neutered. They were great! If you're looking for an inexpensive place to have your dog neutered or spayed for less than 200 dollars, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! Everywhere else I checked were trying to charge 350-500+ for the same procedure! The only thing I would recommend, though, is to go to Petco or Amazon and buy an inflatable neck collar as opposed to using the clear plastic one that this place provides. Will take $10 off the total charges if you don't take the collar from there. The nurses and docs were awesome! They were friendly and gave you plenty of information on aftercare, also.

Amazing experience. Very quick and simple adoption process. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could.
The workers were very helpful and welcoming. We had to stay a bit longer because we went there almost near the closing time. But the workers did not complain at all or rush us. Instead they helped us get our new family member in very smooth process.
I will highly recommend bwine spca to friends and coworkers.
