A transcendental movement took place upon entry into this forest. Enchanted geese 🪿 gathered near our presence and ate vegetation as if we were part of nature alongside them. I highly recommend gracing this place with your being. It’s game & life changing.

It's difficult to keep a review for this Brandywine Festival of the Arts short and sweet. After attending, I can attest to how this event and outdoor space work well for individuals with health limitations or disabilities like myself. A couple of my friends shared with me over the years how much they enjoyed the Brandywine Festival of the Arts, and I could see why!

Having it in Brandywine Park was spacious and convenient enough of a location to access. We came from Newark, and moments after exiting off of 95, we found parking. We didn't take a shuttle because it was close enough to walk past the school Warner, down the cobblestone street (which I love and remember from childhood), and into the park for the festival. You pay a $5 entry fee and start roaming about discovering the sights, sounds, and smells of food from over a dozen vendors.

Keeping the original spirit of the art fair from many years ago, the Brandywine Festival of the Arts still has live music, local food vendors, and children’s activities along with the local artisans. This festival was pet friendly, and people respected the suggestion to only bring dogs who can handle being around a lot of people. The vendor tents were all set up along flat grounds, which made an easier walk.

I saw several people in wheelchairs, families with strollers—and the only time it felt like a struggle was exiting the event and going uphill to the street where we parked. Those cobblestone streets don't feel so nice on the joints when it's steep! I suggest moving over to the green space to walk up the lawn if you find yourself in that position. All in all, I had a wonderful experience, and I enjoyed meeting some really creative souls while buying handcrafted gifts!

I really liked that it was full of animals but small enough of a zoo that I could walk it a few times and not be tired I also enjoyed the snack bar and not being so over priced. The gift shop lady was amazing we had a very good time

Awesome place for family, friends, and fishing!!! (Not sure if that last one is allowed) Today, I walked over 3 miles on the trails and enjoyed every bit.

There is plenty of space for pets, lots of space and equipment for exercising, playgrounds for children, and benches for scenery viewing.

This gem within the Wilmington city limits is historic as well as beautiful. You’ll find a rose garden, several bridges, monuments, a fountain as well as the zoo and stadium on your walk along the river.

Nice trails along the Brandywine and its adjacent canal. Easy connection to Trolley Square and Brandywine Zoo. Great views of Wilmington and the River from various vantage points and bridges. Plenty of exercise venues. Also Jasper Crane Rose Garden is a delight along with nearby memorial fountains.

This is a well maintained, peaceful and beautiful park. Great for picnic, photography, jogging, running, dog walking etc.. The large and amazing place has got a nice feel, it’s so refreshing to walk around here. Spring has made the park even more beautiful 🤩. The cherry blossom was awesome as well.

Generous amount of parking lots.

Great little park.

We visited the zoo, strolled through the rose garden, and visited the swinging bridge. Free entry and free parking.

This is a very nice park. Much of it is a trail by a creek, complete with a waterfall in the middle of the creek. A bridge connects the two sides. There's also trails off to the side. There's a nice fountain near the parking lot.

Nice 2 mile loop around the river to walk or run directly opposite the Brandywine Zoo. Additional wooded trails. It's safe, scenic and well maintained, even in winter. Ample free parking. Each season offers beautiful scenery. Dog friendly. Picnic spots and benches around the loop. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful park during all times of the year! There is a paved path where you can walk through the whole park on both sides of the river. There are picnic tables and benches throughout the park. There are various exercise stations. There is a sit-up station and a pull up station with three different heights of pull up bars. There is also a little Zoo but they don't have very many animals. A great place to go for a walk if you live in the city!

This 175-acre city park located on the edge of the Wilmington, DE business district is a peaceful place to unwind on the paved trails that run along the Brandywine River. But, its not just for those looking to get out to bike, run or walk the trails. Also inside the park is a zoo, a football stadium, a formal rose garden, memorials, picnic tables and waterfalls.

This park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted…the same architect who designed New York City’s Central Park. Established in 1886, it is the largest urban park in DE.

The park is a great place to walk. It connects easily to Trolley Square or downtown, has a lovely rose garden, is next to the Brandywine Zoo, and had events from time to time. The best of these is the Brandywine Arts Festival in September.

Beautiful park in downtown Wilmington. It has a paved trail that connects to Alapocas Woods Park. It's definitely worth a hike.

I walk through this park at least a couple times a week. Yo. It's a great (grate?) place to do some walking and talking. This is MY opinion and you don't know me but... Know this... I do want you to enjoy yourself (for real for real) and I reckon Brandywine Park (the park I'm reviewing) would be a swell place to do such a thing. Bring your dogs/kids/spouses(/cats?) And I'm sure they'll agree. BP (Brandywine Park) is a wonderful place to be.

Update - 7/12/2022
Hey I was JUST HERE AGAIN EARLIER. I'm here all the time these days actually. Has anything changed? (Google asked me, which is why I'm here giving an "updated" review) I don't believe I've noticed any notable changes. That bridge (Bancroft?) is still closed since like last September so... no change there. It's a nice park that cuts right through the heart of Wilmington. Go there and you'll (likely) agree. 10/10 (5/5)

Really an incredibly awesome zoo in a perfect amount of space! Originally constructed in 1905 it has historical significance in Delaware and will undoubtedly leave a good, lasting impression!

My boyfriend and I took a nice walk down this beautiful park. Best day ever tbh. Got to see a couple of dog walkers and a few people here and there. Plus it was pretty quiet all day too. This was a the most beautiful waterfall I've ever seen at this park. I would definitely come back here again.

Beautiful park. Lovely asphalt walking/running paths. Great photo opportunities. There is a picnic area with a grill but appears you need to reserve it. That info is posted. Fishing in the creek is nice.
