Love this place the employees were very helpful and kind. Lots to choose from and I love the way the clothes are organized. Also only for teens and adults just FYI. Lots of name brands for cheap

I had a great experience! Staff was really friendly. I had a lot of jeans that were in great condition and they took all of them and made me a great offer. If you’re selling make sure your clothes are in a bin or cardboard box. They can’t be in a bag.

I can truthfully say I have noticed the new owners at this store putting their all into it and trying to make it the best store it can be. It already seems like a night and day difference from the old owner who seemed less interest in the long term success of the store and just wanted a quick buck.

I will say since reopening they’ve had A LOT of people coming in to sell. More than I remember from a few months ago. I have seen on a few occasions recently that they have had to turn people away 1-2 hours before close (as it makes sense to do). If you plan to sell here I just suggest giving them a call before leaving if you are cutting it close to close time.

To the owners: your hard work is not going unnoticed. I’m sure it’s exhausting but thank you for truly taking the time and effort to make it an enjoyable place to shop at :)

It was surprisingly very clean. Most movie theaters have sticky floors and food everywhere. This one didn't.

I must say that the new Owners have changed things up in this place in just a few days of taking over. Loved my new great experience here.

Took my daughters here today. Had fun playing dress up. Got two Nike shorts and skirts also Juicy couture bathing suit all for under 40$ great selection for men and women. (Not a store for children.)fyi.

A lot of the reviews say they don't buy much, but you can understand why once you are in the store. The store is overwhelmed with clothing and I watched at least 20 people, within the hour I was there, trying to sell boxes upon boxes of clothing. There's just no room for so much clothing! As a buyer, I killed it. I bought two bags of clothing and shoes for 50 bucks. As a plus sized women, it's hard to shop second hand, but this place is much more size inclusive then the many other places I've been. I didn't think the price of the clothing was overpriced. They were having a clearence event where the already inexpensive clothing were 90% off.

So for those of you unfamiliar with Plato's closet it's a place where you can both buy and sell gently used fashionable clothing and footwear.

Most but not all of the items are in very very good condition. I've purchased five pairs of jeans and a pair of Adidas from the Newark location.

The staff is always very friendly and very friendly and very helpful.

they have much more of a selection of women's apparel than men.

Still worth a look for us guys though.

The people giving negative reviews are out of their minds! I came in with about 8 pairs of shoes, they bought 6 out of 8 of them for $84! They take a little while but that's ok. You will have time to do what you've got to do while they make a decision. Regardless of that, you should definitely do business with these people! As for myself, I'll be looking forward to coming back!

I love this place- always find something and it’s clean and organized.

It can be difficult to sell clothing (it may be due to the inventory they have already) but because I'm hardly a seller and mostly a buyer (I'd rather donate), I'm giving it a 5 star rating because they're selection never disappoints (for men anyways). Their prices are also more than fair in comparison to most thrift stores (besides Goodwill and the Salvation Army of course).

I've been an occasional shopper at this location for a couple of years now and have no complaints.

With having a newborn, this place is where I get all my clothes! They’re in style, and completely affordable.. also the added bonus of making money in return if I want to drop off some clothes and and clear out some of my wardrobe. They’re also always quick (from my experience) when checking my clothes to sell!

I spring clean every year around this time of year. Before I donate my cloths to the Sunday breakfast mission I always take my expensive pieces to Plato’s and I must say every time they take almost every piece. I guess that’s me being a1 personality (I take care of my cloths) but there amazing!

Love this store. Very well organized. There are a great variety of clothes in good condition. Prices are very reasonable and when there are clearances they are exceptional.

Great experience here. People are nice. And they have a lot of variety. You normally can get a good deal on selling your close they just have to be up to par and in style. I once came home with $50

This store is excellent you other people are complaing because they didn't accept your clothing. That's because why have a bunch of junk that no one is gonna buy they only accept trendy clothing and that's why it's goood

I am guessing five stars because my family especially my husband can go there and find everything they want to this day I haven't found anything that would fit me not even shoes LOL but no one came to ask if I needed help either so maybe that's my problem!

I was in there to consign some jackets and I looked around while they looked at the items and I was surprised at the inventory prices and variety of the store.overall it was quick and fair
