Taqueria Mex-Dom

We've found our new favorite taco spot, and let me tell you, it's a gem. The tacos were absolutely delicious! We tried the migas and potato egg and cheese - perfect for a breakfast taco fix. Unlike many places where tacos skimp on filling, these were generously stuffed—I only needed two instead of my usual three. Plus, they weren't greasy at all, which was a big win.

Their homemade spicy and mild sauces were a highlight; both were incredibly tasty. If you like spice, definitely go for the spicy sauce! You'll also notice their love for dogs when you visit because there’s a lot of dog decorations.

This is a food truck, so limited seating. Service was great. Food was delicious!

First time here. It was recommended by the AirBNB we had rented nearby. Food was great, the atmosphere was great- great Austin vibe. Definitely recommend! Migas were delicious!

Amazing experience at the nicest little taco truck! The staff is so friendly! The decor is creative and the comfortable seating combined with the shaded cover and misters make this spot an oasis even on these hot days in Texas! Worth the visit!! 😍🌮🥑

I moved here from Southern CA a few years ago and can't say enough great things about TX... but we aren't huge fans of "TEX MEX". I have tried dozens of places in Austin for tacos and just can't seem to find anything close to the tacos I enjoyed when I lived in San Diego.

Living in San Diego, I spent a lot of time in Mexico and I would definitely say they make tacos a particular way. And it was easy to find places in Southern CA that served what I refer to as "authentic" Mexican tacos. When I came to TX, I had heard all about TEX MEX and the "tacos" and was really surprised at the difference between the tacos here and the ones from Mexico/SoCal.

But, I'm resilient as a "foodie". I will keep trying until I find that one place and yesterday... I finally found what I would say are the MOST authentic Mexican tacos. I happened to find out about this place on a Facebook post and drove out. It's not a place I would have driven by and even if I did, I might not have stopped. But again, I am determined to find someone who can make tacos like I'm accustomed to eating. It's a little trailer located right on the road and they have a big "TACO" sign on the road so you shouldn't miss it. If not the sign, you will probably see a crowd of people enjoying tacos or waiting for their order.

I started off ordering what I would consider the 'basics' - a Carne Asada taco and an al Pastor taco. For me, if these are good, the rest of the food is likely to also be good. For starters, they prepare it when you order it! This is a great sign. So many taco places I have been to, they have the meat all ready and just scoop it into a taco shell. Taco meat should be made to order and not premade so already, you know this is a quality taco shop. You can get corn or flour tortillas but I strongly recommend the corn for a taco. They serve them the traditional way with two tortillas and the tacos come with a generous serving of meat. And talk about hot and fresh! I've also found here in Austin, it's been difficult to find legitimate salsa. I had the green sauce and without question, the BEST salsa I have had since moving to Texas. They really should be selling their salsa!

My first round of tacos was so amazing... I ordered more! I ordered more of the carne asada and al pastor to take home to the family and even ordered some bean & cheese burritos. Oddly enough, a bean & cheese burrito is such a staple of just about any Mexican restaurant in SoCal but try and get one here in Texas and it's almost impossible. It was refreshing to find a place that makes a bean & cheese burrito and make them authentically; in a large flour tortilla.

If your only experience with Mexican food is "Tex Mex", do yourself a favor and make the trip out and experience some authentic tacos. If you have moved here from SoCal and are missing tacos from home... you'll want to make the drive out here for these tacos! And if you like spicy, you must try the green salsa.

By the way, to save time, they do take phone orders so you can always just place your order on your way over and they will have them ready when you arrive. They are very nice people and the food is amazing!

These folks were so sweet and even gave us a jar of salsa to take home. She even shared her recipe for their delicious salsa with us. If I could give them 10 stars I absolutely would!!

This place is HANDS DOWN BEST TACO TRUCK. Hot sauce is yummm- I like the spicy and it’s really not spicy though. The potato and egg and bean, onion and potato are where it’s at.

I tried the campechanos (9/10), pastor (8/10), and green pork (10/10) tacos. Excellent service.

Seriously the best taqueria I've ever been to! I've never had a bad meal from this place. The ladies who own and work here are wonderful people and make an amazing green pork. Everything is made fresh to order and is always so flavorful. AND if you're into hot sauce, this is the place to go. We love them and probably eat here at least once a week.

The food and the service are both excellent. You can't beat their breakfast tacos. And the ladies who run the taco truck are the friendliest and most accomodating people i have met in a long time.

I drive by this place daily and never knew it existed. One day, my son came home with the most delicious tacos. It was tasty and right amount of flavor & meat. Love the location, right near the Briarcliff entrance. Peeps, its worth to stop-in and check out their deliciousness. Yum!

I rarely post reviews and typically only when the experience is exceptional - both good and bad. In this instance, I have to share that this was one of the best burritos, if not the very best, I have ever had. I ordered the carne burrito and it was outstanding. This restaurant is located almost an hour from my home, and I am already trying to decide when I am going to make the trip back. Highly recommended!

We ordered over 100 tacos for a retreat and they were amazing!! The ladies were so good at communicating and they got up so early to prepare them. The tacos are delicious, especially the tortillas. We will definitely come back!

Mexdom food is absolutely fabulous!! Kirsy and Susan (the owners) make everything from scratch each day and use the finest ingredients. We’re from San Diego and we know truly authentic Mexican food. We moved to Briarcliff and eat at Mexdom a few times a week. Their street tacos are sooo tasty! Pollo, asada, carnitas… theyre all great. And each day Susan makes a delicious daily special. 🌮
