Empire Burgers + Brew

The Thanksgiving special burger was great (turkey burger, gravy, cranberry aioli, crunchy stuff). The side salad is also great, has strawberries and dried cranberries, so it’s not boring. The drink menu was ~extensive~, even the non-alcoholic options. There are two floors and each has its own fun/cozy vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive. Good time!

Usually when viewed from afar during peak times, it seems to be loud and bustling. We went during the weekday for lunch and it was calm and nice on the rooftop. The salad and burger was pretty good and the service was quick.

I would definitely recommend this place… just choose your experience by what day and time you go.

The burgers and fish tacos were delicious. The Gronk burger was a meal in itself, beefy but well balanced in taste and cooked to a perfect medium. I highly recommend it. The pretzel bun had a crunchy exterior yet was pillow soft on the inside. The burger cigars were an interesting take on bar food. BBQ Brisket was lacking the expected smoky BBQ flavor, but still a flavorful meal. fries were nondescript, no crunch but not really limp either. I would go back again.

I've been to Empire a few times now, and every time I've been impressed by the quality of their burgers (especially the house burger w/a sunny side egg, cream cheese, and maple bourbon syrup). The poutine makes a great appetizer, the draft beer list is awesome, and those fried doughnuts with crème anglaise are THE BEST thing in the zipcode. The rooftop tables are perfect year round, service is generally very good. I highly recommend Empire for their drinks, innovative burgers and those incredible not-to-be-missed beignets style doughnuts.

This was my first time at Empire. I will warn you up front that they do not take reservations, so you may want to go before 6 pm if you do not want to wait too long. I liked this place because the food was unique, the burgers were outstanding, and lastly, their drink menu was extensive. I ended up ordering the Gronk, and it was a big burger. My burger was slightly overcooked, but the overall flavor was really good. As for the atmosphere, the decor was cool, and there was some elevated outdoor seating. The inside had TV'S with football on. The only thing I did not like was the music as loud, and the room had a big echo. it was difficult to hear a conversation across the table. Our server kindly had the music turned down, but the acoustics of the room are still lacking. Great place to eat, and it really looks like it would be a lot of fun in the summer months as they have giant folding doors to item the restaurant up to their outdoor seating on the second floor.

A delightful dining experience. The service was fantastic, and so was the food. They have a great amount of food and drink options. The prices are fair and it's a really cool place to eat at. We had some younger kids with us too, and I felt that it is a solid establishment for the whole family.

I always enjoy the roof top outdoor dining area. Service is amazing and the food is the bomb! Cold drinks and soaking up the sun makes for a great lunch!

We only had to wait 15 minutes to get a table on the roof and it was well worth it! Server was so nice, food was delicious and the view was awesome. Can’t wait to come here again!

We hoped to be placed on the roof top but there was more than a hour waiting so we had diner inside. The place is still very nice inside too. Excellent choice of beers and burgers. The service was really warm and friendly. We enjoy our diner here. And the music inside was definitely a plus to give a rock atmosphere to it.

Amazing place! Went during restaurant week and got the prix fixe. The burger cigar was incredible and probably the highlight of our meal. Burgers were pretty good. Loved the fried doughnuts especially the creme anglaise it came with. Impressive beer selection as well. Atmosphere was great, we dined on the rooftop which was enclosed for the winter. Will definitely be returning in the summer to grab drinks!

Absolutely delicious food. The table got 2 different burger (the Grok and the Abe Froman) and a southwest salad. The food was beyond good. We ordered 2 non-alcoholic drinks. The waitress IDed us even though they were non-alcoholic. The waitress also seemed very timid for the industry, soft spoken and with the noise in the establishment, it was difficult to hear her

Finally had a chance to check out EMPIRE and while the rooftop was full we had a pleasant experience inside in this spacious space. Service was great and helpful! The pretzel bun from my custom order burger was memorable and complimented the sandwich well. Tried the homemade buffalo chips and they were just ok. Drinks were refreshing and the drink menu was expansive - refreshing and strong. Great place for a larger group as well as couples.

Hard to beat local choice for sports watching. Tons of big screen TVs, large draft beer selections, and better than average bar food.

Food was great! The burgers were recommended and I understand why. Prices were very reasonable for a downtown Naperville restaurant. Our server was very good too. Only downside was we sat upstairs and that Sun room was HOT. But wasn’t bad enough to effect my review, will definitely be back!

Food was amazing and definitely worth it. I had the gronk and wildflower cocktail. The gin cocktails here are really good and the patio seats by the water are great for date night.

This is my first time at Empire Burger and it definitely will not be my last! I wish I had gone during the warm summer months because I decided to be on their enclosed rooftop. It actually wasn't that bad but the day I went it was very windy so there was definitely a little draft through the doors. Overall the atmosphere is great.

The burger that I got is called a Key West burger with fries. It is a turkey burger with onions, maple bourbon glaze and pineapple. The maple bourbon glaze was truly extra! It definitely brought out a different taste than I've had before.

The drinks that I got (sorry, there are no pictures) was a whiskey sour cocktail and a FEW cider ale's on tap.

Also, from the hostess all the way to our waitress were extremely phenomenal people. They were very polite they were always asking if we wanted more to drink or we wanted something else to eat. So I truly give there service 2 thumbs up.

The friend that I went with today said that they have live bands I guess on certain nights. So this will not be my last time coming here.

Absolutely delicious burgers! We were very pleased with their prompt and courteous service and cleanliness of this restaurant. We had craft beer and their selection is vast. There’s two floors where to sit, the bottom seems cozy and bigger. The rooftop (closed in) seems to have less seating but it’s not cramped, it’s comfy. There is outdoor rooftop seating, but it’s winter so not available.
Had the G.O.A.T burger, I always have my burgers medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. The combination of the goat cheese with the honey and bacon were mind blowing! All their burgers have unique names with Jane being a basic burger that can be built up.
Highly recommend Empire Burgers and Brew.

*They do not take reservations and it’s a first come first serve basis on seating. It’s definitely family friendly and have free Wi-Fi.

I enjoyed my burger as did my family.
If we didn't have the kids and nowhere else to be, it might have been nice to have a couple beers too.
We ate upstairs, with the misfortune of that super cold weather in February. So I'm not really faulting the place for that, but it was cold up there, fyi.

Food was excellent and came out very quickly. Our server Steven was incredibly nice and very accommodating. The atmosphere in the rooftop bar was very well put together. Definitely recommend if your in the area and request Steven if you can, he was awesome!

Great selection of menu items! Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. Justin doesn’t miss on the cocktails from behind the bar and I will absolutely return from an hour away
