Carle BroMenn Medical Center

Last week I was hospitalized with pneumonia and scarring of my lungs ( a new development that required that I go on oxygen). From Late Friday (the 5th) until Monday (the 15) I was treated by the medical staff of BroMenn through a pretty serious health crisis. I cannot say enough good about the care I received. Both professionally and personally, the nurses were outstanding. I was first treated on the cardiac floor and one male nurse (I regret I don’t have his name) was a godsend. He carefullly explained what medicine I was receiving and took great care in making me feel comfortable. Then I was moved to the sixth floor and encountered Nate on Friday and Saturday (12/13). Nate was an angel in disguise, realizing my discomfort with not having a shower and took it upon himself to make that happen. He called it customer service..I called it caring in the real sense. I want to commend the entire staff but those two young men impressed me because they were so good at their jobs. Please find a way to let them know what an impression they made.

Carle BroMenn Medical Center provided excellent care for my son who suffered suicidal ideation, anxiety and anger issues. Their staff was caring and professional, and they provided the care he need to turn his life around. I am so grateful!

Visited with a friend who was in pain. Exceptional care all the way. Super friendly staff. Wasn't busy at all and got an ER bed in under 30 minutes. Competent care with insights from a PA and nurse along the way that led to great in-house medication and a referral for prescriptions from our local pharmacy.

Wife had surgery here today. The building was very clean and modern. It was outpatient so I did not get to see the rooms but everything I did see was immaculate. The staff were all kind and attentive and were quick to answer any and all questions I had.

I visited today to meet a potential resident for our community and was blown away by the kindness shown to myself and the patient in their care. The superior experience did not stop there as they helped the patient transfer process quickly and professionally.

It felt very empty, but everyone was really nice. Valet parking.

I had a surgery at Advocate BroMenn in May 2020. I was so happy with the care I received before, during, and after surgery. The nurses and staff were amazing. I never felt like I was being a bother when I needed assistance. I was made to feel that my care was important. I wish I remembered all the nurses that cared for me during my stay and the food service providers that brought me my meals so I could thank each one and let them know how much I appreciated their care and kindness.

Never had a bad experience at this hospital and I was in the ER twice within the last 6 months. Yeah they were slow, but there's a SHORTAGE. I swear some people have inability to understand that I guess. I've even had to go here for lab tests and x-rays and was always treated with courtesy as I'm disabled. Compared to OSF this place is 100 times better.

Beautiful, comfortable, and friendly! Instead of recorded music over speakers, a kindly volunteer was playing a beautiful baby grand piano that was tucked in a corner. I was in and out of the lab in less than 30 minutes 😁

From the ER (Davina and everyone else) to the CVCU (Regina and everyone else), my husband received the most qualified, professional, conscientious, respectful and warm, friendly service. Everyone we dealt with went above and beyond for us. They made my husband's serious, unexpected health issues much easier to bear, and we are grateful. :)

My two year old visited the ER last night. During this emotional (for me) visit, the ENTIRE staff that we worked with was nothing short of amazing. An EMT checked us in with the utmost concern and care, the two nurses that checked on us were thoughtful and even provided extra care at the end, the doctor had the BEST bedside manner I’ve ever witnessed as did the staff member who conducted his CT Scan. I wish I could give more stars for these staff who were working at night during COVID-19!!!!! Kudos to all of you!!

We have had nothing but the best of experiences at BroMenn, even during some scary times. The doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers really seem to take the calling of caring for their patients seriously and are friendly and helpful. My husband had a scary ER visit that lead to an overnight observation, and I had a hip and knee replacement there. Each time we were treated with the best of care and consideration.

My husband received excellent care from the entire staff, from the doctors and technicians and most especially Carle's superb nurses. He is doing 100 percent better. We owe you all so much! Thank you!

Enjoyed my stay , the nurses are extremely kind and caring.

Dr. Gephardt saved my life. He did a 6 hour surgery to fix what another doctor screwed up in 2011. No one else would help me unless it was "a matter of life or death ☠. The nursing staff was fantastic 😊. Thank you again for saving me.

What a great group of people. I came across many people and not a one of the was rude. People went out of their way to help me. The radiation technicians I worked with were very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the whole process and told me what to expect and who I could reach if I had any issues. They had valet parking which helped a lot. It was refreshing! It is now the first place I look when being referred to a specialist. Quality care.

My mother receives all her care through Carle care system and they have been nothing short of SPECTACULAR! From the doctors offices, to urgent care, to outpatient services and ER... WE have never had anything short of five star service, care, and compassion from the front desk, to every nurse and doctor that we have encountered. Highly recommend if they are in your network, you should choose them!

Preface: Review of the Mother Baby Unit not regards to the entire hospital.
I cannot say enough good things about the Mother Baby Unit at Advocate Bromenn Medical Center! Through my entire labor, delivery and the days of recovery we were taken care of in the best way possible. My baby had some troubles with breathing when he was born, and immediately every nurse and doctor was on top of it while also keeping me calm. Dr. McManigle with the Neonatology unit took charge and immediately we felt like he was in good hands. During his stay in the nursery every nurse took excellent care of our baby and also my nurses showed me so much care in my stay I highly recommend here for your labor and delivery!

Had a great experience in Same Day Service (outpatient surgery). Staff was great and facility great. Hats off also to the volunteer playing Cat Stevens song on piano! Great experience

I am extremely happy and proud to be calling this facility my new place of employment! I have lived in this area my entire life and BroMenn has an amazing reputation. While it is impossible to please everyone, I am confident that Advocate BroMenn has the best interest of its patients and their families as a top priority. I am looking forward to being able to making a positive impact in the lives of the people who I serve here.
