Might not be as big as a home Depot or Menards but the product selection is excellent. Even better is the exceptional customer service you get at an ace hardware. I've hunted for employees at home Depot and Menards on hundreds of occasions and rarely got an adequate answer. At ace you are greeted right away, can ask any and all questions and get knowledgeable and reliable answers. Exceptional ace location.

They have everything. I am truly amazed how much they are able to pack in that store. Truly a neighborhood staple, always lots of workers to help you find things. Much better experience than bigger home centers.

What I really like about this hardware are the people who really know their inventory and what to do with the items. If you have a question about a particular use of an item, there will be a person on the floor with an answer. Contrast this against the big box stores where help is available, but most often is limited to showing you what aisle something is located in.

The store is well stocked and you will find what you need. Rarely have I come away empty handed because they did not carry something. Also, always check out the discount boxes for items that you may only need a cheaper version of a tool or such.

Nicest group of employees here, so helpful. Love supporting local retailers as well. They have a great selection of products. I actually found products more rare at this Ace location then at the big box stores.

We had issues starting our lawn mower this season and went to Ace with not a clue on how to fix it. Rich was extremely helpful! He even let us bring in our mower and was able to tell us exactly what was wrong with it. Thank you for the GREAT customer service!

Love Douglas Ace Hardware. The employees are always super helpful and they have answered all of my questions. Even if they don't have the exact part needed, which rarely happens, they strive to help identify a possible replacement or a suitable work around.

Your solid neighborhood hardware store, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and most of the things you need you'll find there, from a pair of pliers to bird seed. They also offer a number of other useful services like matching paint color, tool sharpening, and fixing bug screens. Their prices won't beat those at Home Depot, for example, but the location is definitely convenient!

The sales staff are very knowledgeable and willing to help. You can buy just one screw instead of a whole pack. They have a nice collection of Hallmark cards, too.

A Sunday afternoon field trip to one of my favorite places.

Today's mission ~ replacing our BBQ grill (our old one had a slight mishap last week) They carry the full line of Weber grills and a few of other brands. For those of us without the assembly required gene, they do offer FREE assembly. Bill, the salesperson helping us, asked when we needed it and my "in about 2 hours, we have company coming" response almost required a call to 911. The place was very busy.

So, my fully assembled grill will be delivered during the week.

This is a great hardware store with very friendly employees and if they did not have what I needed on hand, they have ordered it and I have it within days. And don't forget your rewards card.

Not to pricey. The staff has helped me with kids school projects and found the items also helping me with how to build what's needed. Usually alot more friendly and knowledgeable then Home Depot, Lowe's, Menard ect..

Great help, very helpful. Didn't know what type of replacement valve I needed for my toilet, but as soon as I showed the picture in my cell phone, the employee was able to give me the correct one.

Love the staff here. Always friendly, helpful and honest. I recently moved to woodridge, but still come back as this was my main one for the last 9 years.
