Underwood Park

Tennis court, basketball & soccer areas, playground, picnic shelters, bathrooms, water fountain, close to the constitution trail, butterfly garden 🦋, large parking lots , close to ISU campus... what else do we need?!
Great for walking dogs!

I took my granddaughter there. She is two. She loved the swings, slides, and balance board. The park was very clean!

The new playground equipment is great! There are shelters, tennis courts, a basketball court, decent restrooms, lots of green space and plenty of parking. The play ground is a bit of a walk from the parking lot which is where the restrooms are located so that can be a little bit of a draw back with small children. My family loved going here!

Nice pavilion to sit and enjoy some lunch and nice weather. Generally, there is usually plenty of parking.

The Brander Shelter is a great spot to rent for an outdoor event! Love that is handicap accessible.

If you live around uptown Normal, this is a great place to go at night to check out the stars. For a park that's inside a city, you can see quite a few.
Otherwise, the kids love the playground. They always seem to end up playing with other random kids, there is loads of nice green space besides including a good climbing tree for the more adventurous kids (and adults).

It was clean, very open, and had a brick and mortar bathroom available (I didn't go inside tho) they have tennis courts, soccer fields, pavilions, a big playground, and plenty of space for everything else.

It's really good park. Kids had fun.

Such a lovely park. Our dog enjoys sniffing all the trees and bushes. The Constitution Trail is right there also. Friends enjoy meeting there for lunch.

Great Pickle Courts!

Great Park for a walk or pickleball.

Having a small outdoor wedding in mid-September. Park maintenance is fantastic! Everything is clean and the trees are healthy beautiful green. Lawn is well maintained.

Beautiful park. Lots of green space. Clean bathrooms. Nice little shaded playground. A few of the trees could be trimmed around the playground and the bushes by the bathroom wreak of cat pee. But overall a very nice park.

Nice wide open spaces.

There are 2 distinct parts to Underwood park. The north parking lot is accessed from Linden Rd. and has a shelter, picnic tables, and a porta potty. There is no playground.

The south side you access from Jersey. That also has picnic tables, a porta potty and it does have a playground.

Excellent playground for kids of any age! Awesome equipment, lots of green space, soccer field, great restroom facilities, picnic area and more!

In my mind this one the nicest parks in Normal. It is big! It has something for everyone and it is beautiful. An afternoon with the kids or a gathering for picnic, it is a wonderful picturesque park that is on the east side of Normal.

Always avoid place to relax and take kids.
