Steak 'n Shake

Can't go wrong with Steak 'n Shake! I was on an out-of-town trip with a group for work. It was very nice to be able to let my people order one at a time from the kiosk and personalize their order without pressure to hurry. Very clean and bright inside. We placed an order for 8 and it didn't take very long to get our food. My burger was a little too crispy and not enough juicy. However, the onion rings were delicious and my Peanut Butter Shake was thick, creamy and absolutely YUMMY! The service crew were polite and efficient. The bathrooms were clean. We were able to have a hot, tasty, leisurely dinner and still make it to the theater for a musical with plenty of time to spare. If you happen to be in Normal, IL and want a quick bite to eat, Steak 'n Shake is a reliable, consistent and convenient place to go. Go for the burger. Stay for the Shake!

Ex employee here. Have been so excited they re-opened and I can say I was not disappointed. Waited less than 4 minutes for a perfect burger with everything I asked for, fresh fries and chicken tenders still steaming through the drive thru. So happy and impressed and will be back often!

Sadly, there's no better place to go and quietly have a good burger, these days, than Steak and Shake.
Since the whole ordering format has changed, people don't seem to "pack the place" like they used to. But once you get past ordering from the kiosk, the food is still the same! Can't beat those fries!

The absolute best burger I've had from any steak n shake

It's back open! Tried to stop here last year after a Cornbelters' game and it was closed. Stopped again this year after a Cornbelters' game (there was a banner outside welcoming us back) and they were open. The staff was very friendly. The service in drive-thru was quick and the food was exactly what we expected from Steak 'n Shake. We'll gladly stop here again!

We had to wait several minutes for our order, but the young man working who ran our order out to our car was delightful and kind and made our stop worthwhile. He deserves a raise.

The service was spot on and very nice. 2 servers took care of our meal and everything was great. The Guacamole Double Steakburger was extraordinary, I recommend it if you want a break from the average burger. The prices were extremely reasonable with the kids eat free on weekends. My kids loved the peppermint shakes too. The restaurant was very clean despite being very busy. One of the best fast food experiences I have had.

Late night trip to the area with my wife brought us here, excellent all around! Wait staff was awesome and accommodating even at 1AM. Recommend for sure. Special shout out to our server Candy, helped us find a cheap option and was way nicer than we deserved, 10 out of 10 server!

Fast and friendly service through the drive thru. We ordered rich and creamy thick shakes, very berry strawberry with chunks of strawberry in it and Hershey's special dark, and free fries! Steak 'n Shake has the best fries for dipping in shakes! Their double steak burger with cheese and classic dress is the perfect combination of deliciousness!

Really helpful wait staff, great food at S&S. Love the chili, burgers are always delicious. Location is easy to find on the north side of Normal. I don't normally give 5 stars to any fast food places, but Steak and Shake will always be a favorite.

Hamburgers and hand dipped milkshakes. Both are made to order. The hamburgers are gently seared on the outside. They are a mouthful of juicy flavor. The milkshakes are thick and creamy. Topped off with fresh whipped ream and a cherry on top. If you like hamburgers Steak 'n Shake is the place to go.

Never been a fan of all the automated ordering stuff so I really appreciated that despite the kiosk style ordering the guys brought our food out to us and the manager came around and checked on us.

Steak and shake is always good and this was no exception. The food is priced fairly reasonably, but was delicious. The staff was very helpful and asked multiple times if we were satisfied.

Steak 'n Shake is a really great place to eat they have all kinds of sandwiches and drinks. But the best part is their shakes the have so many difficult kinds from cereal flavored shakes to Oreo flavored shakes.

It's the typical steak and shake layout. The food is great for the price and happy hours is a great deal. Generally pretty clean and great service.

Happy hour 2 -5 half price shakes. Great value, friendly staff. Fast accurate order fill.

They cleaned up the restaurant. It's very nice there's no sitting inside but you can walk in and get your food to go

Food was amazing! Only $4 for a triple steak burger, fries, a cookie and coleslaw. For some reason I got chili instead of coleslaw, but whatever.
