NWB Next Whiskey Bar Lisle

Been coming here for years. Love the burgers especially and the side salad is a favorite with just a bit extra with radish, shredded carrots and mixed greens. The salads are large and filling, the Mac and cheese very comforting. Delicious cocktails and lots of variety. Keep it up and we will be back!

Anytime I’m close to either the Lisle or Plainfield location, I make it a priority to stop in and enjoy their food. It’s the food, the decor (cozy, loungy, moody) that draws me back in every time. The food is always beyond fresh and the menu is delightful. This time I ordered one of my favorites, the shrimp salad as well as the chicken egg rolls(which are sooooooo good). Always a great experience here!

Katherine and I have been going Next Whiskey Bar (NWB) since it’s inception in Lisle, Illinois. NWB is a gem in the midst of the Lisle and Naperville area and rivals any establishment—especially in Naperville—for the most expansive, rare, and sought after bourbon, rye, and whiskey offerings.

The staff has always been friendly, and the bartenders/mixologists have always been happy to create a personalized craft cocktail for us with our spirits of choice along with any further choice ingredients from our corroborative conversation on what we would like to achieve.

The food at the NEXT whiskey bar has always been good and it’s honestly only gotten better.

At our most recent visit, I got the Shrimp Citrus & Avocado (Greens salad) and it was absolutely delicious!

Look, my wife and I are from New Orleans. The Sazerac they make is equivalent, if not better than what you can get in NOLA! The food...OMG GOOD and hot! Worthy of checking out and falling in love with the place.

I really enjoy the food and service. I ha the NWB burger and a salad. For dessert. I had the whiskey, caramel donuts they were fantastic, warm, and fluffy. The service was spot on the staff was very friendly and helpful. The drinks are outstanding and reasonably priced. My only suggestion is the dressing on the salad, tasted like it came out of a bottle from Kraft it really was bad and did not fit in with the quality of your other food. Everything else is hand made goodness but the salad dressing is sub par. Change that out to home made or at least a higher quality.and you have a Michelin star worthy restaurant.

I went to this restaurant on a Monday afternoon for Valentine's Day with my husband and another couple. The waiter didn't remember much about which whiskey drinks were served on the flight menu. He was nice but lacked details on food and drink items. I also found this place especially quiet. I felt like my friends and I had to whisper while talking to each other. The music playing was a good selection of music but again, very quiet ambiance. I felt like everyone was listening to my conversation. The drinks were average. The bacon wrapped shrimp was the best food item we ordered. For some reason, they charged $1 for the large ice cubes - that's so odd to me. I would go back but only out of convenience.

Update: I went back to NWB on a Friday night. The waitress was attentive and nice. She was constantly checking on our group of 9 people. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp again because duh! But this time a friend ordered the whiskey donuts for dessert and seriously they were AMAZING! Highly recommend those. Also both drinks I had were delicious and my favorite was the Whiskey Sour, those cherries are delicious. The ambiance was much better this time, the restaurant was busier this time around so I had to change my star rating for this place. Also my husband really likes this restaurant so I'll probably go back again.

First time visiting and will be returning! Food was of great quality. Everything ordered was done accurately and in a timely fashion. Tremendous selection of Whiskey & Bourbon with a good mix of cocktails as well. Service was super and atmosphere inviting. Only 4 star due to sheer size of restaurant. It is very small and tight. Otherwise, an outstanding establishment worth visiting.

Stopped by for a burger and sat at the bar. Nice place with a cool atmosphere and extensive whisky selection. The burger was great and the bartender made a top-notch last word.

Stopped by here for lunch with out of town friends. The neighborhood street it sits on is in the downtown area and is very cute giving hallmark vibes. It was a weekday so it was quiet but picked up around the lunch hour. Our waiter was very kind and provided us with his recommendations when asked. They have a large menu with plenty of selections for picky eaters. Food tasted very good, better than I expected. I had chicken and waffles with chips which were delicious. My friend ordered us the whiskey donuts which reminded us of Louisiana beignets. It’s a good size dish that is easily shareable between 3-4 people. I would eat here again and recommend it to friends.

We had some appetizers, which were fine, but we went for the whiskey selection. There was a great selection and great service. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try something they don't want to invest in a bottle for as a trial.

This is one of my favorite places to eat, I just wish it wasn't so far from where I live. They have a huge selection of Whisky and their poutine is amazing. The staff also has excellent customer service, only downside is they don't take a reservations so it's first come first serve.

Loved this place. I wish I didn’t drink so much so I could of been a bit more hungry for my delicious food. I got the turkey 🦃 burger with goat cheese and red pepper sauce (forgot to take a picture) with a side salad. The champagne dressing was so refreshing. Drank tons of bourbon. Go check this place out ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lived here for two years and finally went here after I moved. Was so surprised at the food selection! Thought it was mainly a bar for whisky but there is something for everyone here. Of course I had to get an old fashion, but hot chicken sandwich and donuts were fire! Waitress was super nice and definitely will be coming back.

Great service and great atmosphere. You can just sit and enjoy the day watching people and cars go by without feeling rushed. They have a huge whiskey menu (of course) but also beer and wine. The tuna and Gobbler were excellent as were the homemade chips. Definitely will be back!

Pork Belly slab on some of the finest beef burger around! Finally a place where they add just a splash of BBQ sauce! The Med Rare Beef and Pork Belly stand out in every bite!

Finally Finnish it off with a shot of Amaro for digestion! Sweet as Pie! Get it on Brother!

We've been coming here for several years and I'm shocked I haven't left a review yet! Today I wanted to call out the exceptional service we experienced from the employee, Sam. He was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent suggestions.
We've always had delicious food and drinks here. The burgers, poutine, Mac and Cheese, sandwiches, and of course all the various, DELICIOUS, whiskey drinks, the whiskey doughnuts, mmm everything is a good choice.

From the atmosphere to the food to the creative cocktails, I really enjoyed my dinner at NWB. I had the El Toro, a spicy burger with pork belly and corn guacamole; my wife had the Asian peanut salad. I'd choose a side other than the sauteed kale next time.

As for drinks, I had the Black Manhattan, and my wife enjoyed a special version of an Aviation. It tasted as interesting as it sounded when our waiter described it as being "barrel-aged for 2-4 weeks."

I was surprised how delicious and plentiful the whiskey donuts were. As we were told, they really are a must-have at the end of the meal.

The restaurant's contemporary interior and classic rock sounds completed the delightful evening. Oh, and I didn't mind catching some of the baseball game on the big screen TVs from time to time!

It's great to have places like NWB making downtown Lisle a place worth visiting.

As I am in search of the states best whiskey bars and old fashion drink. I came across this bar. Which is located in downtown Lisle.

Our server was excellent and very accommodating, he recommend a few different drink and food options. I ordered the 29er and must say this drink was top notch. It was so good, I couldn’t switch up and try and anything else. The burgers and cheese curds are also very good options as well. If you love old fashioned’s run over here!!

We were there a couple weeks ago for a wedding. In 4 days, our group went on 3. All the food we got was amazing, loved the French onion soup! Plenty of options when it came to the drinks. And the people and service was top notch! We had a large group and they were very accommodating. Which I took photos to share, but the food was all so good, I forgot. So ill leave a photo of my cousin, enjoying his pink drink at NWB wearing a shirt with my face on it. Also some photos from another cousin that went (food photos!!).

Amazing place with amazing atmosphere. Must try burgers. The cocktails are on point. The music also was fantastic. This place is located in Leisle downtown. Easy parking outside in main street.
