Local joint with the yummiest food. We aren’t local and were in town to pick up some furniture from Craigslist. Stopped in for a sandwich and a burger. The owner took our order. You can tell they pride themselves in quality and taste. Atmosphere is very homey. Wish I could give them 10 stars out of 5. If you’re going for sandwich, go for chicken pesto. So good.

I have driven by Flatlander for years on my way up to Fontana, WI, and finally stopped yesterday for a sandwich. I felt like I was stepping back in time. Upon walking in, I was greeted with a warm smile and hello by five workers in this family-run establishment. While waiting for my sandwich, I checked the history adoring the place's walls. You can eat in, but I got my order for takeout. My club sandwich came with some of the best homemade chips I have had, and it was great! Don’t forget to grab a homemade cookie (chocolate chip was my choice, but they all looked great). In the future, we will remember that we can pre-order and pick it up on our way up. Shout out to the family for working hard all week and taking the weekend off! Thank you.

I have always enjoyed this restaurant. I used to work in Marengo and this place is literally the only reason I come back to said town. The food is always great and so is the service. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing. I have seen the same people working every time I come here which is probably why the quality and service has always been superb.

Really nice store. I ate very well, and it's fair. I don't usually eat, I went out of my comfort zone and was amazed it was great.

Sandwiches are always made with fresh, healthy ingredients that taste good and prices are very reasonable. Service is good but can get pretty busy at lunchtime.

Loved the Wednesday night supper club dinner this week...baked ham, homemade mac and cheese and peas and carrots. Really, really good. Will definitely order again! A very real talent and home cooked meal! Made me think of my Mom! Definitely recommend Wednesday night supper club. Thank you so much!

Flatlander is a great lunch spot with convenient parking, a vintage Americana decor, and a menu I must get through because it is all so good! They serve several coffee styles, one thing that is “a must” for me, and food is loaded with flavor and great texture. The refrigerated beverage unit is packed with water and flavored drinks or, like me, order your brew anyway you like it at the counter. Pick a table and your food will be delivered soon thereafter. They carry a great line of fresh cookies—try the chocolate walnut ones!—and fruit bars that are tempting me lately. This local enterprise is on to something good and now I’m heading there to try one of their breakfast sandwiches!

This place is fabulous! The decor is very cute and charming, and the food is delicious. I had a double cheeseburger and probably the best chicken pesto sandwich I’ve ever had! Sally and all the staff are extremely friendly and courteous. Five stars!

This place has AWESOME food! Their prices are decent and the fact that it is family owned and operated, you are sure to get that small town down home feeling when you walk into the door. I’ve been going here since I discovered it a few years back and will continue to go here as often as I can! Great place to grab coffee, sit back, and relax in the morning with your friends!

Most expensive menu item is like 8 bucks. Fast and friendly, big portions. Chicken quesadillas and Italian panini were both winners.
