Public House of Woodstock

We had the best late lunch at Public House! Stephanie took SUCH good care of us! She had a beautiful smile for us every time she came to our table with yet more yummy food and fun info about the history of the jailhouse. Both the brussel sprouts and Cesar chicken salad were amazing and their potato soup is outstanding. If you're looking for charm, Woodstock square is the place to go, and, if you're looking for a great meal and a happy staff to serve it to you the The Public House should be on your list of places to eat, drink and be merry! Would definitely recommend to family and friends! TY all!

We came here for lunch with a group of 13 people ! The service was awesome and food was delicious! Quick, prompt, fresh and yummy! Highly recommend for a lunch in the square !

We had such a great time from the moment we walked in until we got up to leave. Our sever was super friendly and helpful, he nailed the recommendation when I couldn’t decide between 2 dinners. We ended up with the spinach dip appetizer which came recommended from the B&B we stayed at and it did not disappoint. My wife had the melt in your mouth pot roast dinner while i had the steak risotto. Both we absolutely delicious. They have so many items that look amazing on the menu that I can’t wait to try them again.

We dined in the private dining steak house on Groundhog Day. Joshua took excellent care are of us! Food and atmosphere was great. We stopped in by happen stance and was delighted by our experience. Lovely evening.

We are from out of town and this was the perfect lunch spot for us. I had the blackened chicken sandwich and my father had the fish tacos. Both were delicious! The blackened chicken sandwich was very flavorful without being too spicy. Our waiter was very attentive and was very helpful navigating the menu with my dairy allergy. The restaurant is beautiful, and the restrooms were very clean. I definitely will keep this place in mind when we come back to the area.

We absolutely had a wonderful time for our anniversary. The food was incredible. Joshua our server was fabulous and very knowledgeable.

Downtown Woodstock has fun shops and a cool vibe. This is our second visit to the Public House restaurant and we just love it. The burgers are delicious and the shrimp in both the appetizer and main dish we offered were cooked perfectly. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is very clean. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area and it's even with planning a special afternoon visit if you live in further away suburbs or the city.

We have always loved this place and were thankful to participate in the soft re-opening this evening! The renovations look very nice, and we were so excited to indulge in Public House's delicious food once again. Our meal was yummy as always, with clearly fresh ingredients and high quality. I have several food allergies and they are always so well-handled by all the staff, from servers to the kitchen. Special shout out to Joshua, our server, for being patient, kind, and helpful as we explored the menu! Can't wait to visit again soon.

The Public House was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Joshua was a stellar server. He was attentive and knowledgeable and made the whole experience a lovely evening. The food was incredible, from appetizer to dessert and everything in between. 10/10 would recommend. We will be back for casual and festive occasions alike.

I LOVED this place, great food, Michter's Sour Mash?!?! Stayed at the Cherry Tree Inn, ate here, bowled at Wayne's Lanes... FANTASTIC trip. Woodstock is a cool town. This place is a staple of movie history ❤

Joshua was an amazing executive server. He made the evening! The food was incredible on par, with the best restaurants in the world, and we know.

I know they just reopened in the last month, but it is very clear that the food and the service stayed excellent. Our waiter Josh was fantastic. The food was delicious. I am so happy to see the public house is open again and I can't wait to come back.

I cannot say enough good things. Our server Joshua was FANTASTIC !!! He made great recommendations ans was very attentive , even when very busy !!! The brisket tacos were amazing !! We will be back !!!

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday. Enjoyed a burger and fries. The mango and peach unsweetened iced tea was a nice step up from the basic brewed iced tea of most establishments.

The food is delicious! The outdoor patio is beautiful with a view of the historic Woodstock Square. Josh gave us excellent service as well! We were very pleased!
